Girl Talk (1/1)
Yoona smiled as she finally finished making Seunghyun’s lunch. Seunghyun told her that he was having two three hour meetings, four presentations, and he had to look over the new contract revisions. She knew that Seunghyun was going to have a rough day at work today and she wanted to brighten up his day even if it wasn’t very big. She put the food that she made in a lunch box. She then went upstairs to change into some clothes. She looked through her closet and just couldn’t find an outfit that she would like to wear to Seunghyun’s work. She bit her lip as she continued to look at all of her other clothes. She grinned as she saw an outfit that she liked. She put on a loose, long casual shirt from Gucci and wore black leggings underneath it. She put on a pair of black heels. After she got dressed, she went into the bathroom and put her hair up in a messy bun. She headed downstairs and grabbed his lunch. After she locked up the house, she went into one of the numerous cars lined up and decided to take the gray Volvo. She went inside and drove off to his work building. “Hi, I’m here to see Seunghyun and Jiyoung,” Yoona told the receptionist on the bottom floor. The receptionist looked really busy. She had three calls on hold and she was trying to juggle her sandwich, the phones, and the visitors. She held out a finger for Yoona signaling her to wait as Yoona nodded. The receptionist answered and took care of all the calls while Yoona looked at the lunches. She decided to make one for Jiyoung too. Sandara was at Japan for a fashion show and she didn’t want Jiyoung feeling left out. “Hello, I’m the receptionist here at Choi Corporations. How may I assist you?” she asked. “I’m here to see Choi Seunghyun and Choi Jiyoung,” Yoona answered. “Choi Seunghyun is the president of the company and Choi Jiyoung is the vice president! Why did you need to see them? Wow, I never saw a girl have the guts to see them at this time of day—or any day at all. It’s one of the busiest days for them and well, it’s their lunch break. They usually don’t like being bothered during their only break of the day,” the receptionist giggled. “It’s okay. They won’t mind seeing me,” Yoona promised. “I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’m even allowed to let people in at this time. What was your name, though? Maybe I can send them a memo that you wanted to visit,” she assured Yoona. “Uhm, well my name is Yoona—Choi Yoona,” Yoona informed her. The receptionist’s eyes grew so wide that Yoona was surprised that her eyes didn’t pop out of her eye sockets. Yoona couldn’t help but laugh to herself a bit. The woman started bowing to her over and over again asking for her apologies. Yoona nodded signaling her that she accepted her apologies already. “Mrs. Choi, you can come in whenever you like! I’m very sorry for the inconvenience!” the receptionist cried. “It’s okay,” Yoona nodded. “I’m sorry; it’s just that I haven’t seen you in person. I saw you on television, but I have to say that you look even more beautiful in person! You also looked like you lost weight!” she complimented. “I just did a lot of yoga after the pregnancy,” Yoona smiled, “Now where’s my brother-in-law and my husband’s offices?” Yoona asked. “Jiyoung sshi’s office is right across Seunghyun sshi’s office on the top floor, the 22nd floor,” she smiled. Yoona nodded as she went into the elevator. After the elevator helped her to the 22nd floor, Yoona went into Jiyoung’s office first. She knocked and heard him tell her to come in. Yoona opened the door and saw that Jiyoung was watching American football. “Good afternoon,” Yoona greeted as Jiyoung stood up and gave her a hug. “What brings you here?” he smiled. “Well, I was going to bring lunch for Seunghyun, but Sandara told me to make you some lunch also. She said that you spend your lunch breaks just watching American sports without a lunch, so here I am bringing your lunch,” Yoona smiled. “Gee, thanks a lot Yoona! You should bring your husband some of his. He’s been really grouchy today,” Jiyoung laughed, “He almost fired one of the temp workers on the 10th floor for printing out a paper horizontally when he wanted it vertical.” “Thanks for the information,” Yoona smiled as she waved goodbye after leaving the food on Jiyoung’s desk. Yoona kind of hated it when he was hotheaded. How could he threaten to fire someone over printing out a single paper the wrong way? Yoona grunted as she walked out of Jiyoung’s office and made her way into Seunghyun’s office. She slowly opened the door so that she was really quiet. She saw that his chair was facing the window of the office and it seemed as if he was talking to someone on the phone. “I want every single thing hidden as if nothing had happened. I don’t want this thing haunting me in the future. I’m already content with what my life has become and if you don’t alter or remove those records, everything is going to change. Do it, or you’re going to regret it,” Seunghyun threatened. “Who are you talking to?” Yoona spoke out. Seunghyun was so alarmed to hear her voice. He saw her put down a lunch box on his desk as he hung up the phone without a goodbye and stood up. He walked over to Yoona and saw the good deed that Yoona had done for him. He made her lunch, and for the first time today, he cracked a smile. He walked over to Yoona and hugged her after he gave her a kiss. “That’s nice of you to make me lunch. Thank you,” Seunghyun smiled. “You still didn’t answer my question. Who were you talking to? You sounded so angry and well—I never heard you so angry. It was as if you wanted to kill that person if that person didn’t do what you said,” Yoona observed. “Sorry, it’s just one of the employees. Five years ago, there was a temp worker that tried to sue the company because supposedly, he slipped in one of the bathrooms. Cameras showed that he was the one that made the puddle of water and he planned everything. I just didn’t want that file in our records,” Seunghyun explained as he loosened up his tie. “Why are you so angry over that then? And Jiyoung told me that you were acting like a girl that’s going through PMS today! He told me that you threatened a worker because he printed out a paper the wrong way,” Yoona crossed her arms. “Uhm, no I didn’t. Oh, I’m going to kill Jiyoung,” Seunghyun denied. “Yes you did. Jiyoung doesn’t lie to me,” Yoona contradicted. “Fine, but in my defense, I would like to say that my crankiness is because of all the business deals that I had to sign! On top of that, I only had five hours of sleep last night thanks to you! I can’t believe you made me watch ‘A Walk to Remember’ with you. That’s like one of the top chick flicks in the world,” Seunghyun defended. “Hm, whatever, you’re the one that didn’t want to go to bed unless I came with you. You could have just slept alone,” Yoona stuck her tongue out. “Well, thank you for my lunch. It looks delicious,” Seunghyun complimented. Yoona’s watch then started to beep. She turned off the alarm and grabbed her purse from the chair in his office. Yoona then remembered that she had a water bottle for him in his purse as she pulled it out and put it next to his lunch. “Listen, I need to go now. Sunny and Jessica are coming over to the house to see me and Yuri. See you at six,” Yoona said as she kissed her husband. “Oh, you can’t eat with me then?” he pouted. “I’m sorry, but they’re coming in ten minutes!” Yoona explained. “Oh, okay then,” Seunghyun sighed, “I love you.”
“I love you, too. Now, don’t be such a sissy girl and stop being so hotheaded. There are a million people that would like to have your life and you’re not being so appreciative if you’re so grouchy, so smile!” Yoona told him as he gave her a childish grin. Yoona got home right before Jessica and Sunny arrived. Yuri was already at home from the gym and she had just finished taking a shower. Yoona saw that her friends were over in no time as the four hung out by the pool. They were all lying down on white full body beach chairs as they all rocked their swim suits. Yoona wore a monokini. It was red and black; she was so glad that she didn’t have any stretch marks from the pregnancy. Sunny wore a one piece because she said that she wanted to be conservative—for that day only. Jessica and Yuri showed of their curves by wearing two pieces. They all rested under a beach umbrella except for Yuri because she wanted to tan under the sun. Yoona pulled her sunglasses down from her forehead as she sighed. “What’s wrong?” Sunny asked as she drank her lemonade. “Nothing’s wrong,” Yoona replied. Jessica, Sunny, and Yuri looked at her with straight faces. When she says that ‘nothing’s wrong’, there definitely was something that was wrong. Yoona started to laugh to see that her best friends knew her so well. “Just spill it,” Yuri said, “I thought you knew that we’re never going to say anything to anyone.” “I know that—it’s just that I’m a little shy to say it. It’s because I’m not used to having this subject as a topic,” Yoona explained. Jessica’s eyes grew wide. She squealed as the three girls huddled around Yoona in unity. Yoona slapped her forehead at their loud murmuring and squealing. “Yuri, you’re my best friend, and you would tell me stuff right?” Yoona asked. “I tell you more stuff than I tell my mother,” Yuri assured her with a mischievous smirk. “Well, before I tell you girls anything, I would like Yuri to answer some questions for me,” Yoona negotiated. Yuri nodded, “What do you want to know?” “Seunghyun told me that five years ago, a temp worker tried to sue the company for injury in the bathrooms. Can you tell me more about this?” Yoona asked. “Oh, yeah I remember her! Seunghyun oppa was only nineteen years old and he was so new to the company. There was this one unnie that tried hitting on him, but he really didn’t like her. She tried to get revenge by filing that lawsuit—but don’t worry. There are no records of it now. It’s nothing but a bump on the road for the beginning of his career,” Yuri laughed. “The temp worker was a female then?” Yoona asked. “Well, yes. Unnie means a female that older than you and I thought that you knew that,” Yuri giggled. Yoona sighed, “Seunghyun said that the temp worker was a ‘he’.” Sunny and Jessica gasped as Yuri tried to shush them. “Well, don’t think anything wrong! He has a lot of employees and he could easily mistake one for another,” Yuri defended him. “He does have a lot of employees, but there is only one that tried to hit on him. He’s an intelligent man. How can he forget then?” Yoona opposed. “Yoona ah, what’s your point to this?” Yuri said confusingly. “I went to give him his lunch today. I thought that Jiyoung would want one too, so I gave him one. Jiyoung was his normal self. He wasn’t stressed at all, but Seunghyun, it looked as if he was ticked off by something. I walked into his office and I heard him say that he wanted something hidden. He also said that if it wasn’t going to be hidden, everything would change in his life. He wants something hidden and I know that he doesn’t want me knowing something. Yuri, you said that the temp worker’s incident didn’t have any records, but when I asked Seunghyun why he was acting like a bitch to the person he was talking to the phone with, he said it was because he wanted to remove the records of the temp worker. Why would he want the records removed if the records didn’t exist in the first place? He seemed so stressed when he was talking to that person on the phone. He told me that he was only stressed because of the business deals that he had to sign, but I know that he already finished signing with another company one week ago, so he can’t be stressed about it. Why is he acting like this?” Yoona asked. “Do you think that—,” Jessica asked. “What if he’s seeing another woman?!” Yoona assumed. “Whoa now, let’s not assume so quickly! My oppa is a caring man and he would never cheat on his wife!” Yuri protected. “He cheated on her with Hara,” Jessica claimed. “Yeah, but that’s different because Yoona and oppa weren’t officially in love yet. The only reason why they were married in the first place was because of the baby and not because they were in love with each other!” Yuri yelled. That was like a slap to Yoona’s face. That was true and she didn’t realize it. The choice of marriage was supposed to be for loving another person and not because of anything else. Yoona looked down at herself as Yuri slapped her own forehead in what she had just said. “I’m really sorry for bringing Hara up, Yoona,” Yuri apologized. “It’s okay. It’s true anyways. It was an exception because he was in love with Hara at that time,” Yoona tried to laugh. “Yoona, I don’t think he would cheat on you though. He went through so much just to be with you! I don’t think he would throw everything away!” Sunny cried. “Hm, Yoona, are you still an innocent secondary virgin?” Jessica asked. “What the hell is a secondary virgin? Jessica, you come up with the weirdest names. I swear, I don’t understand what you say sometimes,” Yuri complained. “A secondary virgin is someone who didn’t have sex with anyone after their first time having sex. I know a lot of people during high school that were secondary virgins because they thought that losing their virginity to a certain person was the right thing to do when it wasn’t. So now, they’re secondary virgins because they’re not going to have sex with another person until they know for sure that he or she is the right person,” Jessica enlightened. “Oh, that’s what it is,” Sunny said in amazement. “Well are you?” Jessica asked Yoona. “Why are you asking anyways? Why does it matter?” Yoona tried to ignore her question. “It matters because men are beasts. I’m not trying to sound like a sex therapist or just another weirdo, but men like sex. He’s married to you, Yoona, and well if you don’t give him what he wants, he’ll most likely ‘fulfill’ his needs somewhere else. He may love you, but if you are a secondary virgin, it wouldn’t be surprising if he did what he did,” Jessica told her. “Ew, you make my brother sound like a sex maniac,” Yuri cried in disgust. “Amen to that,” Sunny agreed. “Answer the question, Yoona!” Jessica ordered. Yoona gave a confused look. “Yoona, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Jessica has a point. Oh gosh, I never thought that I would be asking you this, but Yoona, are you sexually active with my brother?” Yuri asked. “No comment,” Yoona finally answered. Yuri, Jessica, and Sunny’s eyes grew wide at her reply. When she said ‘no comment’, it usually meant yes. Sunny and Jessica burst into cheer and laughter as Yuri shriveled up in repulsion. “Wait, why are we cheering? If you do give him sex, then why is he hiding something from you?” Sunny said as her laughter came to a halt. “You know, I don’t think that he’s cheating on her then. I think he’s just up to something,” Jessica concluded. “That’s good because I really don’t want to doubt him,” Yoona sighed in relief. “It kind of hurts me to say this, but Yoona, I’m glad that you’re doing it with my brother. That kind of assured us that he’s not cheating on you. I knew he wouldn’t because well, he really loves you,” Yuri smiled, “Don’t worry, I won’t tell him or anyone else of this conversation.” “Yeah, and Yoona just needs to find out what he’s hiding. I’m already married myself and I would like to say in Yoona’s defense, she has a right to know. I just hate the idea of a husband hiding something from his wife especially after what Yoona and Seunghyun have been through,” Sunny pointed out. “Hey, I know this is kind of off subject, but since you’re active with him, when am I going to get a niece or nephew?” Yuri questioned. “Yuri, shut up!” Yoona ordered with a laugh at her joke. “No, I’m serious! I’m not joking! I want a baby in the family!” Yuri cried out as Sunny, Yoona, and Jessica burst out into laughter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A/N: So yeah, still no internet.
