Road Trip (1/1)

It's a Wednesday today. I'm not a fan of Wednesdays. They're right, smack down in the middle of the week. For some people, that's good news, the week is almost done! But for me, it's always just the most boring day.

I spare a glance away from the TV that's airing a rerun of High Kick, to look outside the window of Jinyoung's apartment.

The weather, on this Wednesday in the middle of summer, is really nice. I guess it kind of makes up for the air of boredness that surrounds me. The sun is up and people are out. Kids are playing and couples are loafting down below. The windows in the apartment are all wide open and I can feel the gentle cool breeze as it sweeps in and out of the apartment.

I close my eyes and breathe it in. It's refreshing and seeps into my skin, leaving tingles. But then it's gone and I'm left with it's lingering remains in the movement of the curtains.

"Yochan." I hear Jinyoung's voice coming closer and open my eyes. I look over at him approaching and raise my eyebrows in question. "Are you busy at all?"

He takes his seat beside me and like clockwork, I lean my head on his shoulder.

"No," I reply, "I'm really bored."

Jinyoung chuckles lowly in his throat. "That's good."

I take my head off of his shoulder, the faintest hint of a smile on my face, "Why? You want me to be bored?"

"No, haha, it was just because I was thinking... Why don't we go on a road trip?"

"A road trip?" I look him straight in the eye to see if he's joking around or not. I have to admit, I'm a little stunned. I never thought that would happen again.

"Yah. For old times sake. You know, like the good old days." He says with his very own faint smile in his perfect face. I look him up and down but he stares at the TV now. After a moment, his smile fades and all that's left is a somewhat sad expression.

The good ol' days.

I don't question where he plans on going. It doesn't matter where we go. I have a feeling I know what will happen. So it won't matter a thing where our destination is. What will happen is inevitable. After a pause, I stand and nod, "Okay. For old times sake." ~~~Hello! So this is the first chapter, it's fairly short and the next one is pretty long.
