Mountain Soul Part 5-6 (1/1)
PART 5-6 What was weird was to have as back up such man like BK. Minwoo should be glad for the protection, should appreciate to know he could turn his back without fearing an attack. He should really feel relieved to have someone here watching over him -but the fact said someone was BK messed everything. He just could not accept the man's help. Could not appreciate being able to look away and still be alive the next moment. He definitely could not be thankful for BK's help, because the man had done things he could not forgive nor forget, and as much as his cellie's help was vital for the time being -there would have no good feelings left between them once this mess was over.Minwoo's only reason for still enduring the man's presence and his damn needs was because the guards' threat was still very well alive if not worse. Once it would be gone, that he would be free -he would not waste time to get away from BK and never let him touch him ever again. He was ready to leave without any violence (even if deep down he was dying to kill his cellie), he could restrain himself that much for the man's recent help -even if he wanted none of said help.He knew when he owned something to someone, and as much as he considered owning nothing to this bastard considering the circumstances -he had this little decency to leave without a wave. He just hoped (for BK) he would not try to hold him back or something because here he would not respond of himself anymore. He had limits, and said limits were stretched too far already.“Martins' on night shift starting tomorrow.” Said BK on a too quiet Sunday in the block behind the bars of their cell.Laying in bed with a book in hand, Minwoo barely acknowledged the man and tried to control this anxiety forming inside him.“You've talked to your damn friend behind this mess ?”Minwoo knew BK would know one way or another about Eric being responsible of the sudden situation, but hearing his cellie talk about his counselor felt off. He did not like the fact this bastard knew about Eric's responsibility, and even if he wanted to deny it, he was worried about Mun. He was not sure if BK could do anything to him, but he knew the guards could. Would they go that far ? He didn't know, and it was what was scaring him the most. Not knowing was a vicious torture, and as much as he hated Mun for being such an asshole doing as wanted, he didn't want to get him killed either. Mostly for something involving him. Minwoo considered dying for him was the stupidest and most useless thing to do out there, and he definitely couldn't understand what had pushed Eric into risking it like that for someone like him.Minwoo would never say it enough, but Mun was an idiot, and sometimes more than resenting the guy he was exhausted about him. Eric felt too much trouble at times and his life was troubled enough like that to add more.“I've some guys...”“Don't ! You leave him alone.” Sitting up, Minwoo glared at BK doing some push ups and hated the grin forming on the man's lips.“I was just about to say I've some guys working close to the Warden who heard some stuffs about him, but...” He stood up swiftly and leaned against the wall with crossed arms. “Do you've a thing for him.”Minwoo gave as only answer a murderous look BK chuckled at.“He got in your pants ?”“The fuck you're trying to do ?” He said, lunging forward and stopping too close to his cellie threateningly.BK wasn't fazed by him though (he was never fazed anyway) and Minwoo wanted to punch him because of that.“Don't push me, I'm already at my fucking limits.”“You need something to relax ? Go ahead, punch me.”Minwoo wasn't expecting that, and the offer felt too freaking tempting to let it pass. He wasn't planning to answer to the challenge so quickly and easily, but barely a second passed before his fist was flying to his cellie's face and sending him almost on the floor.“Fuck !” Gasping, BK spat the blood on the floor and looked up at Minwoo in a mix of surprise and amusement. “You punched me.”Minwoo's gaze was dark, as always, and shrugging he said, “You told me to.”Scoffing, the older man pushed himself up with fingers carefully feeling the throbbing spot at his lips.“You busted my lip.” He said and Minwoo couldn't look less concerned.“I could've broke your nose.” He said dismissively before walking back to the bed.Punching this bastard actually made him feel better, and more relaxed, he laid back in bed to resume reading his book. The latter suddenly appeared a lot more interesting, and this chewing annoyance at the pit of his stomach had eventually subsided. He couldn't believe a single punch could have such effect on him, and he guessed he missed fighting.“You owe me one.” Said the man once at the sink to clean his bloody lips.“I owe you shit.” He said in a grumble, and BK snickered.“I never needed your permission though.” Said the man, and looking up, Minwoo found his cellie leaning closer above his head with an annoying grin on the lips. One could think he was used to all this shit BK was forcing him through, but he was not, and everytime he was confronted to such situation he was freaking out inwardly. One day, he believed he would not be able to contain the emotion anymore and it would come out all at once. He wasn't sure he wanted to be there the day it would happen.Staring at the older man, Minwoo let nothing appear on his face and just prayed in his head BK was just messing with him (like often) and would not want to do anything now.“Don't look at me like that.” BK slapped Minwoo's cheek softly and chuckled. “You know me too well.”He couldn't deny he was confused by his cellie's words, but he didn't say anything about it and was just relieved when the man hopped on his own bed and left him alone for the rest of the day.
** Monday seemed to arrive too fast -and night came rushing his way before he could see it coming. In prison, what most inmates were saying was time was long and a never ending moment, and for once Minwoo would have liked for this saying to be true.If it was, he would not be laying in bed in the deafening silence of the block with lurking beast around it being after his head. The up till there small cell became even smaller, and the feeling of walls closing around him made it hard to breathe. Why was he panicking like that ? It was not like anything would happen. It was not because Martins and his pals were on night shift it meant...Okay. Even himself could not let such grotesque thought cross his mind.Because of course -of course Martins would have something in store for him, and if not for tonight, it would be for the next one, and if not the next one -they had the all week to strike, and it was driving him crazy to wait like that for something to happen. Mostly when said something would certainly mean his demise at the hands of bastards he wanted to skin for too long now. The morning buzz rang loudly through the cellblock, but the sound felt very distant in Minwoo's ears. He didn't realize immediately night was over and he was still alive and safe. How could this be possible ?This daze wrapped around his mind on this Tuesday morning followed him around for the two following days. He could not understand why Martins was still doing nothing, nor why he was still alive in the first place. He knew too well the man would not let him even the opportunity to get through this on his two feet, and after another agonizing night of waiting he guessed it was all part of this bastard's sick plan.Of course he would want to torture him in every way possible. What an idiot he was for not figuring it sooner.“You should eat.” Instead of answering to BK, Minwoo ignored the man and kept glaring at his food.It was not like his cellie was not right -he should indeed eat, he was barely swallowing anything for the passed two days, but he couldn't let anything down his throat. His stomach was so twisted and knotted that he had no appetite, and BK knew too well the cause of such condition. Minwoo was glad to be in such dear situation for only one reason : BK was leaving him alone. It was not that long since the last time the man had put his hands on him and forced himself on him, but this little break was as good as anything he could wish for right now and even if only a few days had passed -it was feeling great.Of course, the man was still sticking close to him and keeping him at his side for safety measures (like he was saying) but it was easier to endure it when the guy wasn't using him like a whore.“Here.” Blinking, Minwoo stared at the chocolate slice of cake under his eyes and didn't assimilate right away his cellie had just gave it up to him.Why ? He wasn't sure, then he wondered how the man could know he had a weakness for chocolate cakes, then he hated his cellmate's guts.“I'm not hungry.” He said in a grumble and almost threw the little slice back on the older man's plate.“Where are you going ?” He was sincerely starting to hate BK's constant presence and concern -which he didn't want to see as concern. The bastard was just a crazy asshole loving too much control, and Minwoo hated to be under anyone's control.Jerking his arm free from his cellmate's grip, he glared down at the man and challenged him to make a scene. He perfectly knew BK wanted to avoid any ruckus to avoid confinement, and he took advantage of such fact to leave the table and head back to the block. He felt eyes on him, and even if a couple of them were the worried ones of his friends, too many of them gave him an unpleasant feeling he felt like scrubbing off his skin. When he exited the refectory, he felt like running -but to go where ? He had no idea, but the need to run and get away was maddening, and the building feeling made a too well known rage bubble at the pit of his stomach.“Hey,” The hand on his shoulder came out of nowhere, and reacting instinctively, Minwoo span around and threw a punch.Lens eyes were big and fixated when he met them, and his fist held in the taller man's hand gradually lost strength. He wasn't sure why, but instead of being afraid or worried to be alone with his former cellie, he felt intrigued. Since his last meeting with Lens this pang of apprehension was almost gone and replaced by something too close to curiosity -and if not for BK holding him with a leash he would certainly have tried to get some answers from Lens. Now was apparently the good moment to get them.“Huh...” Looking away, Minwoo was surprised when his fist was just released and no retaliation taken for his attempted punch.“I want to talk to you.”Minwoo's eyes flicked up, some interested glint coming to life in the darkness of his orbs.“Yeah ? 'bout what ?”Finding himself confronted to Lens' unblinking eyes staring straight at him reminded him too clearly of this first week in Mountain Soul. Not that he had forgotten anything about the emotions his former cellie had induced into him -but with all the recent events it had moved to some back place.“Some people are after you.”Minwoo snickered even if he didn't mean to. Lens would certainly think he was mocking him, when it was not the case. He was just on the nerves and had no real control over such kind of reactions.“They're planning a move on you.”“When ?” He didn't like how worried and concerned he felt by the words, and the look in Lens' eyes let him know the man noticed his emotional state.“I don't know. But I heard nothing good would come from them, you should watch your back.”Minwoo rolled his eyes. “Thanks for the info.”Lens didn't miss the sarcasm filling his words, and Minwoo didn't care.“No.” The tattooed man took a step closer and Minwoo fought to hold his ground. “You don't understand.” He stopped too close and leaned his face closer. “You can't stay here. You've to get out.”Minwoo snickered. “Well, I'll like to do just that but just like you I happen to be locked up in this place.”Lens' eyes became small slits Minwoo didn't like.“There's a way...” He said more like a thought than real sentence, which slightly confused the shorter man observing his former cellie carefully. “There's a way.” He said, staring straight in Minwoo's widening eyes.“Wha...”The pain came out of nowhere. It exploded in his stomach and spread up to his brain at such speed that he wasn't sure for too long if what he was feeling and thinking was real.Standing close to him, Lens' arm around his shoulders pressed him closer to the tattooed man. In a silent gasp, he didn't have time to do anything as his strengths abandoned him all at once and left him at the mercy of the pain the taller man was inflicting him with this shank deep in his body. The world span around him when he was suddenly turned around and stabbed a second time in the back -too close to his spinal cord. All the while, Lens didn't utter a word, and soon enough Minwoo's world vanished in front of his eyes as he collapsed gently on the ground with the tattooed man's guidance. What the hell ?Hello there ^^ It's been a while, I hope you're still interested by this fic.
