PART 3-2      The atmosphere was tensed after Miles' attack, and sitting on a bench with Luis, Andy, and Dongwan, Minwoo observed the guards around the yard. He noticed the stiffness in their shoulders and the way they had to look at the prisoners, and he wondered if the situation would escalate to something he had not envisaged in his plan. He was so engrossed in his quest for revenge that he had ignored the repercussions his acts would have.Not that he was scared. Now Miles was out of the picture for an indeterminate period of time, he knew he did not have to worry anymore about some asshole wanting to use him like a sex toy, but he had to admit the fact to be locked up under the care of men who wanted you the worst was quite concerning.He knew he could defend himself and these guards would do him no real harm if he was keeping a low profile, but what if they knew he was behind the assault ? He could not really tell if people were aware of Miles' hobby. There was chances a couple guards were close enough to the bastard to know what was going on with their boss, but if it was the case, what were waiting the warders to avenge their buddy ?Were they waiting for Miles' orders, or agreement to take care of his business. Minwoo could not really know with the little information he had. All he was sure of was the asshole was still breathing and recovering at the hospital. It was enraging to know he was coping so well when all he wanted was to make him suffer. But he knew the sooner the bastard would be back, the sooner he could end all this. Maybe he was getting over his head and would just lose big time in the end, but he had no other goal at the right moment than kill this guy.It was only after it would be done he would be able to move on and forget about it. Before that, there was no forgiving or forgetting. It was an eye for an eye, and he was ready for the bastard's counterattack.

It did not take long for the guards to take revenge for their injured colleague. It started slowly, with less time at the refectory to eat and less opportunities to get a shower. A search of the cell was done every two days, while the warders were making their possible to mess the inmates stuffs and leave the room in a pitiful state. It had no other real purpose than push the prisoners to their limits until one of them was breaking.Once done, it gave them an opportunity to use their batons. The inmate falling as the first victim had lost it after the guards had broken a precious item he had from his deceased mother. He threw the first punch, but the bastards were waiting for it, and in a snap of a finger the inmate was down the stairs on the concrete being beaten savagely by revengeful assholes.Minwoo watched the scene display from inside his cell with Luis standing tall in his back. The kid was much younger than him but had ten plus centimeters on him. It did not matter, because Luis was no match against him in a fight, and they both knew it.The first yells at the guards for beating up one of their friends quickly died down at the threat of doing worse to the guy. After that, the silence in the cellblock was only broken by the noise of blows and cries of pain.The inmate was abandoned on the floor, bloody and unconscious until the guards were done with the cell search. It was only after that they dragged him to the infirmary. No one knew if he was still alive, and it was only when he showed up a couple days later that they had their answer.Tension built up from this point, but it only worsened when the guards started striking for no reason.An inmate had the misfortune to speak about something they did not like, he was sanctioned. A lot of men were sent into confinement in the couple weeks passing, and most of them were brought back with bruises. None of them were surprised the warders were beating up anyone going to confinement, but it still added fuel to the burning fire.On the third week after Miles' attack, a group known to be ruthless took the situation into their hands and cornered two guards to beat them up. Minwoo heard one of them was injured by a shank, but there was no confirmation of it so far. All he knew was the situation was taking a dear turn and he was the responsible of it.He did not really care. These men knew how to handle themselves and could take a beating, but he had to admit the warders' behavior started to get on him too. They already had no freedom left, and having some assholes take away from them the little they had felt enraging. He would certainly have snapped by now if he was not the one who had started all this.

The group sessions with the AMP were cut short to one per week after the two guards were assaulted, and they only had forty-five minutes instead of one hour. The guys were not happy about it (and Alex let it know which got him into confinement) but Minwoo did not care. In fact, it was one of the only positive effect his acts had. He hated these sessions with this idiot of Mun, and only for that he would create a similar situation again.Dongwan seemed bothered about it though, and even if he was not one to give a real interest to others, he had to admit it got to him the usually bright man was so upset about something.The last time he had saw him being so quiet was after the lockdown. Minwoo was not stupid and could see in the man's eyes he knew something, but he was smart enough to shut up about it. However, he had to get it clear he did not like how Dongwan had to look at him all the freaking time, and since then the other man had backed off him.He was glad for that, but seeing the man's lack of energy and motivation made him question what could be wrong with him. They had maybe grew closer to each other and were spending most of their time together with Andy and Luis, but Minwoo still had no real idea who the man was and why he was here.He had heard a couple stuffs, but none were reliable enough for him to believe it blindly."Well…" Mun's voice breaking the thick silence made Minwoo look up at him and notice the discomfort in his body language. "How are you doing today ?""How do you think we're doin' ?" Snapped back Cruise with a dark look in his eyes, and Minwoo almost snickered at it.Finally someone's gonna put this bitch back at his place."They're being despots with us, and you've no idea how many of us ended up beaten in confinement. Just like Al." He added with crossed arms, and Mun shifted on his chair."They still didn't find who assaulted Miles ?""No." Barked back the Hispanic, and the hostility Minwoo could hear in his voice made him tense up on the chair. "But I swear I'm starting to hate this bastard for getting us in such situation. It's gonna blow up in our faces, and I ain't ready to go down for the little bitch who thought he could mess up with these assholes and not assume the consequences."Okay, here were fresh news. It should not be surprising inmates would start to resent the one responsible of such oppression they were victim of, but how far such feeling would push these men. Did he have to keep an eye out for them, or would it just slide because no one knew who was behind Miles' attack ?No one besides Lloyd, Heck and Siwon.Shit.He was doubting the three would rat on him, but what about talking to other prisoners ? Would they share the secret with who they thought were trustworthy men or keep it for themselves ?Minwoo realized he had to make sure no one would find out about his implication in the mess they were actually in. He could not risk his life without taking care of Miles. He had to take down the man, and then… he would see how to deal with the rest."What about you, Dongwan ?" Called man looked over at Mun and stared. "You looks upset, did something happen ?"Dongwan swallowed thickly, clenched his fists on his pants, glanced at Minwoo then looked back at Mun. "Huh… "He was not sure why he observed so warily the other man (as if he was expecting him to do something going against him) and he was sure Dongwan felt the look he had on him. He was hoping it would be enough to shut him up, but as always, nothing was never really going his way."It's just…" He glanced back at Minwoo anxiously before biting his bottom lip. "I…"He tensed up and anticipated the words he knew would be of no help to him, but then Dongwan seemed to change his mind and shook his head."It's nothing. I just got some news from my family, and it wasn't that good."Mun stared at him then asked, "You want to talk about it ?"Dongwan shook his head and averted his gaze to look at his hands, "No. It's okay."Mun watched for another second the unusually quiet man then nodded, "Okay. Who wants to continue ?" No one answered, and for the first time since he was intending these group sessions, the minutes ticked by in silence.

Back to his cell with Luis reading some magazine, Minwoo lay down on his bunk and waited for diner to come. His mind was occupied by this sudden little problem he had to take care to avoid an unwanted situation with prisoners. He was almost sure the three men would not betray him, because it could be dangerous for them too, but one could never be sure enough.Therefore, he knew he had no other choice than talk to Lloyd, Heck and Siwon. When, he was not sure yet. Should he approach them at diner ? It would not be that suspicious, on the contrary. Inmates would have noticed when he was talking to the three before the attack, and if now he had no more contact with them, the prisoners could figure out on their own what was behind the rapprochement inaugurated between them.He could not let anyone think too much about it and would talk to the three this evening at the refectory. He was sure Dongwan knew about his involvement in the attack just because of his sudden affiliation with these disreputable people. The guy was too observant to let such thing pass his radar, and it was no wonder why he had looked at him this way after the lockdown.Dongwan knew, and Minwoo could not even find the will to get annoyed about it. He knew the man would keep it quiet (if only to keep him safe), and even if he had no idea why Dongwan would protect him, he was glad for it.He had enough to worry already, and if he had friends to back him up, it was only beneficial for him.Back to Minwoo =DI hope you liked it and... are you feeling the troubles coming ? xD
