The Degree of Separation (1/1)

He stormed off from the café where he and Heechul had a small talk. Siwon left with a heavy heart and with Heechul’s words bearing on him. ‘He was being unfair to Tiffany.’ Setting himself inside the car to drive home, Siwon took a few thoughts on how the rest of the day would go. It has been 48 hours since they last talked, yet it feels like burdensome centuries. If this lasts longer, it would only worsen the pain he inflicted. The girls were gathered in the dorm’s living room. It was quite rare that everybody is almost free of schedules and decides to stay indoors. The whole place was a riot since they can’t decide what to do on their free time. The TV was on with a random movie playing, two girls were busily making dishes in the kitchen, and the rest just played among themselves and chatting endlessly. But Tiffany, was stuck inside her room not wanting to interact with anyone. Her upset, unhappy feelings were restricting her to do so. “Fany-ah! We’re making patbingsoo in the kitchen, wanna have some?” Taeyeon shouted in front of her door. The kid leader was vigilant enough to notice Tiffany’s odd, quiet behavior since their filming day at the broadcast station. She knew her well enough to discern that Tiffany and Siwon were having their cool-off moment as a couple. Eager of her response, Taeyeon waited outside the door but she haven’t got any. The worry took over her mind and she shook the door knob open, only to realize that it was not locked. “Hey, Miyoung-ah. Get your ass out of bed and eat! You still have schedules later this afternoon!” As soon as she saw Tiffany curled up in a ball covered with her pink blanket, Taeyeon attacked her with playful slaps on her back. Usually Tiffany would get revenge and hit her with a pillow but Tiffany just lied there, unmoved. As if no one was with her. “Fany-ah. You haven’t spoken a word since Friday. Is there something we should talk about? As a group? You know we can’t keep secrets right? Your sisters are worrying for you too.” Taeyeon tried her best to appease the self-depressing Tiffany but to her surprise the girl sat up and clutched the leader’s shoulder. The next thing Taeyeon knew, her best friend was crying. “Tiffany, what seems to be the problem? Did you and Siwon fight? What? Please tell me.” She tries to calm Tiffany who’s sobbing hard like a kid. “Taeyeon, does Siwon really love me? Why is he like that? He acted like I never know him at all!” she continues bawling, Taeyeon making her best to calm her down. Their manager can’t see her like this, it would ruin the whole setup that the agency has set for them which makes it hard for Tiffany to vent out her feelings in a snap, or else everyone gets into trouble if the issue leaks out. “Of course baby girl, that’s why he asked you to marry him. If not, then I don’t know. You should be understanding each other, and at this point in time, you should have understood each other very well. Because marriage is not something you could take in then breathe it out.” her gentle reminder just made the poor girl in her arms cry more. Taeyeon was clueless what caused the crying Tiffany right now, she had doubts but it was best to keep her mouth shut that time.*** Tiffany had no choice but to tell Taeyeon what happened around the weekend. She was not yet comfortable talking about it but it was a great relief that someone can understand the situation she’s in. Her mind was always troubled with thoughts of Siwon every second. It was torture to consider, hearing nothing for him for the past few days, she was on the verge of giving up but ironically she can’t. Even if it means she’s the only one left. Even if it will make her stupid. Tiffany knows what matters to her life right now. Her manager picked her up from the dorms, she had a fan sign event she couldn’t turn down for one. She was committed to it earlier on and bailing out would be a waste of obligation, even if she felt like not moving from her little pink space at the dorms. Thinking twice, maybe she thought it was a good time to be busy with something else, rather than waiting for a call that nobody knows when it will come. Fans were gathered at a little hall, mixed with the press and a handfuls of photographers. Tiffany had to keep up with the bright lights and the enthusiasm everyone showed at the event. It would be unfair if she would pull a straight face or a forced smile which would be very obvious, she willingly smiled, the smile worth of diamonds if someone would describe it. She has to make small steps for herself, but her heart burns with pain that day. All the while she had to act normal, indeed it pulled of well. She tried to maintain the little sense of enthusiasm she has and talked to her fans while patiently signing their cards and merchandise. For a while, she was able to get over what she was crying about the whole night. Knowing that there are other people who exist in this universe other than Choi Siwon. The long queue of people shortened in a span of two hours. Tiffany didn’t notice the time passed by that quickly. Looking at the last set of people she’ll do signs with a couple more minutes and her day is done, not until a cute little boy was her last signee for that event. “Hi!” the little boy said in his cute, high-pitched voice. “Hello. What’s your name?” Tiffany took the photobook the boy carried with his small hands. “Lee Junwon, but my mommy calls me Wonnie!” the boy replied ardently. Tiffany had to stop writing halfway hearing the boy. Wonnie. What a coincidence. Just great. Just when she was about to get over it for a few hours or so, her fiancé makes a little cameo on the fan event. “That’s a cute nickname, I know someone sharing the same nickname as yours.” she coolly replied like nothing passed by her thoughts. “My mom said she got my nickname from a handsome actor.” The boy explained. “Really? Who?”  “She said it was Choi Siwon, but I haven’t seen him yet in TV. Do you know him?” the boy asks. Tiffany sat still thinking of a quick reply, but before she could say something, her manager butted in an escorted the boy to his mom. “Tiffany noona has to rest now little bud. Say thank you.” her manager gently told the kid. “Thank you noona. By the way, an ahjussi told me to give this to you.” the boy handed out a couple of lollipops in his hand and Tiffany took it with much curiosity. Now what did the boy just did? *** She was still seated by the fan sign event table, but now the production team was packing up and the event hall was practically with less people compared earlier. Tiffany insisted that she’d wait here, rather than somewhere else that everyone would just turn their attention on her and keep her occupied while waiting for the service van. She prefers to be seated in that quiet place while the staff were busy with the egress. Tiffany played around with her phone to kill off time. On the usual days, she would call Siwon the moment she gets her free time or after a schedule, but now, she can’t even initiate a move to send a text message or even a dropped call. Her pride took over although half of her says don’t. A little later, she felt someone walking up to her spot, and before she could turn her head up, the mysterious man placed down the table his sign card which read… “I’m sorry” Tiffany shot up and she met Siwon’s watery eyes. He looked lost and the dark circles around his eyes indicated he haven’t slept well these past nights. They stood there like everything was in oblivion. Siwon was waiting for a move. She couldn’t keep him waiting. Tiffany rushed to Siwon’s arms and hugged him tight. Siwon held her close, much to his wanting and the only thing he knew that would aid their aching souls. Not a word was spoken, only that meaningful hug that berated the sense of pride overpowering them. That single moment defined what their love is, a recovering clarity. “I love so much. I’m sorry for not understanding you. I love you.” Siwon tightened his grip around her, stopping his tears from falling. He feels Tiffany weep in his shirt, and that was heartbreaking enough for him. “I missed you. I missed so much don’t you know that? Huh? Why didn’t you call me? I thought I’m going to lose you. Do you know how miserable I was?” he kept asking questions as soon as he met Tiffany’s gaze. She could only look, awe in response. Before she could say a word… “Siwon, I-“ “Tiffany!” he shouts loud enough to reverberate throughout the room.  ADVERTISMENT: I have a new fanfic in writing, should I post it now, or later? Kekekeke~ Nyahaha. I just need an ice-breaker to keep you hanging. LOLZ           ***  She wakes up, feeling the heavy arm where her head was resting and the indecent sound of the television. Stirring up her senses, the room was poorly lit with the light coming from the TV and the lampshade. Tiffany checks the man beside him, and the latter feels her move. “Oh, you’re awake sweetheart. Hungry?” he places a sweet kiss on her forehead and gets off few strands of her hair touching her face. “What happened?” her hoarse voice makes him smile for a certain reason. “You didn’t tell me you had a cold and a fever. You fainted earlier, good thing I was there to catch you. Or else I wouldn’t know what happened.” He explains, rests your face in his chest during the process. “So are you hungry?” Siwon asks. Tiffany nodded meekly and Siwon jumped straight out of his comfortable position. “Stay here, I’m getting you food.” He says, but Tiffany protests. “Ani, I want to eat downstairs. I don’t want to stay here.” She cutely gripes. Siwon busily prepared her food while she just sat there and watched. Tiffany noticed that she’s changed into her pink jammies, she can’t help but think that Siwon did the tedious (and awkward) chore of changing her clothes. “Did you—“  “No, Taeyeon did that for you.” he chuckles and brings Tiffany her bowl of hot ramen and a plate of kimbap rolls. Siwon pulls a seat next to Tiffany and diligently watched her eat. “Siwon…” “What?” he laughs a bit. “Stop staring at me when I’m eating.” she hisses. Siwon just nods and pulled out his phone from his pocket. He was carefully reviewing his Twitter feed, when his other hand found its way to hold Tiffany’s left hand and he let their fingers intertwine. Tiffany noticed that slight skinship he initiated. Siwon was being the clingy one, he actually rested his chin on their intertwined hands and continued scrolling on his iPhone. Tiffany was somewhere near being pissed and annoyed with his weird gestures lately. “Siwon…” she calls out once again. “Hm?” “Seriously?” she mutters. “What?” he grins. “How am I supposed to eat if you’re like this?” she dissents. Siwon chuckled at her annoyed fiancée and let go of her other hand.“Finish that, so won’t have any excuse not to cuddle with me anymore.” he nuzzles his nose directly under her neck a smelled her sweet scent of flowers. If only Tiffany could give him a whack in the head for being so clingy, she would really do it. ----------------------------------a/n: cute? kekekeke~ and a favor, please read THIS! THANK YOU! ^^
