Through sunshine, through (1/2)

We both sat outside on the grass in Myungsoo’s backyard, neither knowing why we were both here. There was an awkward silence when without any warning Myungsoo got up and walked into the house, leaving me alone in the cold night. When he had finally emerged from the house, he came out holding in his hand a clear package.

“Here, I wrapped some ice for you.” Myungsoo said as he sat down beside me, handing over the ice pack he had prepared. I hastily snatched it away, gently placing it onto my hurt toe.

“You’re still mad from what I said earlier today, aren’t you?”

I took a deep breath, ignoring Myungsoo’s question. Shouldn’t he know that I would be mad?

“I don’t know how I’m supposed to apologize, but I was in so much pressure, I freaked out.”  He defended.

“That’s your excuse!?” I questioned in disbelief. “You were in so much pressure…? Ya! Don’t lie to me Kim Myungsoo, your face was content, you showed no sign of ‘pressure’ at all.” I pouted as I re-adjusted the ice pack on my foot, sighing in disbelief. “You really are a shit boyfriend.” I mumbled.

‘I’m sorry.” He chuckled. “I’m sorry I’m not perfect enough for you Jiyeon-ah!” He kept teasing to the point where I wanted to hit him. He clearly wasn’t taking things seriously.

“You’re so mean!” I snapped.

“Okay.” Myungsoo laughed. He extended his arms as he moved over, hugging me tightly by the waist. “Such a bad temper you have, my strawberry girl.” My eyes immediately shot opened in surprise.

“S-strawberry girl!?” I squirmed from Myungsoo’s tight grip, staring at him in shock when I had finally escaped from his grasp. Myungsoo simply stared at me back, acting innocently shock when suddenly a loud clashing sound came from the dark sky.

“It’s going to rain…” He whispered looking up at the night sky as the clouds began to darken.  “Let’s go inside, I have something to give to-“

“No!” I snapped. “I’m not moving!” I crossed my arms, refusing to move a muscle, watching as Myungsoo stared at me from the corner of my eye.

“You’re going to get a cold if rains, you know that…?”

I ignored Myungsoo’s words as I gazed up at the dark clouds, avoiding the fact that soon enough the rain would be pouring down on me.

We sat in silence when the rain eventually came pouring. I sat there freezing to death but refused to move an inch, proving to him how serious I really was.

“Okay, I get it. I’m sorry, I was wrong. What do you want me to say? You’re going to get a cold! Just come inside” He pleaded. Myungsoo was basically shouting, due to the loud sound of rain pouring down on us. I know I might’ve been overreacting but I really wanted to teach Myungsoo a lesson. Just this once. I mean, he has done worse, much worse. But if I ignored his constant wrongs then it’d mean he’d just keep going.“I was waiting for the right time to do this but I guess you’re basically pressuring me.”

Myungsoo ran into the house leaving me alone once again, in the pouring rain. My lips quivered as the harsh rain poured down on me, leaving me no mercy. I felt myself getting a cold but refused to move. I know what you’re thinking: What a hard headed girl she must be.

I heard the sound of Myungsoo’s loud footsteps as he stepped onto the small forming puddles, finally reaching to where I was seated. Myungsoo pulled a jumper over my head, sheltering me from the rain. Without another word, he kneeled down in front of me, holding a guitar in his hands. I cracked a small smile because his eyes had been covered by the giant hoodie he had put on, making him look like a giant goof.

“Jiyeon, my strawberry girl." He jokingly sang, playing random strings on the guitar. "I’m sorry, I’m so sorry I hurt you all the time. I’m such an idiot. I’m not worthy of you my strawberry girl!” I cringed at his horrible, clearly put on tone, smiling all at the same time by the way he was making such a fool oh himself.

“YA!” I chuckled. “Stop calling me that.” I punched him lightly on the arm, causing him to laugh.

“You look like an idiot right now, you know that right?” I pulled the damp hoodie which had covered his eyes, revealing his heart warming eye smile.

“You’re so beautiful, you know that right?” He whispered back. I shyly grinned as he played around with the strings on his guitar.

“So cheesy.” I mumbled. "This isn't like you at all."

“Are you ready?” He suddenly asked.
