A trip to the past. (1/2)

I was greeted by the aroma of a freshly cooked meal that afternoon. My nose followed the scent all the way down to the kitchen where Myungsoo was facing the stove, he was wearing an apron which made him seem so professional.

"You wake up so late Jiyeon. Sit down, we've got a long day ahead of ourselves." Myungsoo said without turning to face me.

"We do? What's planned? Don't you have shedules" I stretched my arms up in the air and yawned, still half asleep.

"It's 4 in the afternoon and please tell me you haven't forgotten." Myungsoo turned to face me, keeping his hands balanced on the bench behind him.

"I have no idea what you're talking about~" I stood up from the chair I was seated in and made my way over to the stove top, taking in all the great aromas.

"The deal we made?"

I suddenly remembered back all the way to yesterday night before the dinner you had shared with Inifinite.

"Ohhhh, I totally forgot, shit!" I ran exitedly upstairs and quickly changed.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Myungsoo called.

"No! Let's go before it's too late, we'll eat out!" I quickly grabbed Myungsoo by the arm and pulled him outside to the car.

We drove for a while until I suddenly remembered. How would he know where everyone lived?

"Let's go to my parents first, you know the address?"

"I only know where your boyfriend lives." He answered.

"Oh... Wait, how?"

I waited for him to reply, but he never did, I told him the address to my parents house and he continued driving. After about 20 minutes, I finally reached my old home. Myungsoo carefully made sure he wasn't directly parked infront of the house, but he stayed at a distance, where I could clearly see. I quickly stepped outside of the car, and Myungsoo followed. I turned and looked at Myungsoo who had his hands in his pockets, waiting for me to say something.

"It hasn't changed one bit." I smiled to myself and leaned onto the parked car, staring at my old home.

"Look like someone's home."

I looked up at the top floor and saw a light coming from the guest room, four people walked in holding glasses of what appeared to be champagne, I smiled to myself and felt the tears trying to escape my wounded heart. My heart hurted so much knowing my parents were fine living without me, but I also felt happy knowing they weren't worrying. Finally, a tear left my eye. Myungsoo watched me from behind and then came and stood next to me, leaning on the car. He held out a tissue from his pocket, wiping away my fallen tear. I was happy he didn't try to hug me or anything like that, I just needed to be alone for just a minute.

"Let's go." I finally spoke up.

"Are you sure? We can stay longer if you want?"

I shook my head and opened the car door, getting in.

Myungsoo hesitantly followed behind, starting up the engine and driving away slowly.

I leant against the window and watched as my  whole life left me once again, this time I didn't feel as sad as before, I felt dissapointed, dissapointed that they didn't miss me as much as I had been missing them all these months.

The thought of seeing my boyfriend was in the back of my head, all I could think about rght now was my parents.

"Um, do you mind if we stop somewhere first? I need a drink." I looked up at Myungsoo and without a word, he turned the car and headed towards the nearest convenience store. He parked his car just outside and got out, before I could follow he poked his head into the car and asked me what I wanted.

"Just a water or something." I answered.

He came back a few minutes later with not only a bottle of water, but a two banana milks, a ice creams.

"I asked for water, Myungsoo." I said smiling down at the treats.

"Who said they were for you?" He teased, poking out his tounge.

I laughed and grabbed the bottle of water as Myungsoo began to drive. The night was colder then usual, but the breeze calmed my mood down a little. I intently watched as the night sky soon filled with bright stars, and street lights flickered on.

Myungsoo then turned into a familar street, it was the street of my boyfriends house, as we drove closer, I felt my heart began to beat faster. I held onto my chest, trying to stop my heart from beating at such a rapid pace, but I couldn't control how I felt, I breathed several small breaths and tried to concentrate on what was now in front of me, it was his house.
