Chapter 26 (1/1)
The next morning, Sung Mi awoke. She looked around, but Chunji and Changjo weren't there. "Did you sleep well?" Jin Shi smiled at her. "Oppa, was.." She stopped. If Chunji and Changjo were really there last night, she didn't want her brother getting upset. "Yes?" He questioned her. "Nothing, I'm excited for my date tonight. That's all," Sung Mi smiled at her brother. He grinned back and ruffled her hair. The day flew by quickly. Sung Mi's phone rang.
"Hello?""Sung Mi-ssi! Hi!""Oh! Hi Chunji oppa, what's up?""Niel wants you to wear something you can move easily in. He said preferably shorts,""O-Okay.. I'll call you after we get finished. Ok?""Okay, have a fun time,"They hung up. Sung Mi always felt weird when she wore shorts. Most likely because she doesn't like her legs. She walked into her brothers room. "Oppa, do you have any shorts that would go to my knees?" She pointed to her knees. "Shorts? You never wear shorts though," Jin Shi didn't look up from the book he was reading. "Niel asked me to wear shorts.. Please?" She clasped her hands together. He sighed and stood up. He walked to his closet and took out a pair of shorts. "These should work, just make sure you wear a belt," he threw them to her. Sung Mi bowed and thanked him. She ran into her room and changed. The doorbell rang. "I'll be home later, Oppa!" She ran to the door and opened it. "Hi Niel oppa," she smiled at him and hugged him. Niel gave her a peck on the cheek. She noticed he had a bag in his hand. "It's nice to see you again," he said. "What's in the bag?" Sung Mi grinned at him. Niel just smiled at her. They walked, hand in hand, to a local park. Niel brought a soccerball out of the bag. "S-Soccer?" he nodded at her. "I'm sorry, I can't really play," he frowned. "Why not?" Sung Mi didn't look at him. "I'm bad at sports," she lightly laughed while rubbing the back of her head. "I'm sure you'll do fine," Niel grinned at her and gave her a quick peck on the lips. He went over some rules and they soon began. They played with each other for what seemed like forever. It was getting late. "Sung Mi-ssi, it's getting late," Niel was kicking the ball. He looked behind him to look at Sung Mi, but she wasn't there. She slid on the ground, and kicked the ball away from him. He tripped over her foot and landed on his face. He shrieked in pain, holding his ankle. Sung Mi stayed on the ground, breathless. It stayed like this for a few minutes. Once the pain in Niel's ankle died down a little, he crawled over to her. He noticed her shorts rode up a little on her legs. He saw a few scars. "S-Sung Mi-ssi, what happened?" He pointed to the scars. She gasped and covered them up with her hands. She then pulled her shorts down and stood up. Niel stood up, limping. "Tell me?" Sung Mi slung his arm around her shoulder and walked him to his dorm without saying a word. Once CAP opened the door, she spoke. "I'm sorry, Niel oppa. I caused you trouble today. I'm sorry I'm not the best at sports," Niel shook his head. "It'll be healed soon, just have to stay off of it for a few days. It may have not been the best date, but I still love you, Sung Mi-ssi. Can you walk me to my room? I'd rather not have CAP hyung carry me," he took a side glance at CAP. Sung Mi laughed lightly and walked him to his room. "What happened?" Chunji asked worriedly from his bed. "I went to steal the ball, and Niel oppa tripped over my foot and hurt his ankle," She frowned and pushed Niel to his bunk on the top. She fell to the ground, on her butt afterwards. Chunji laughed and sat next to her. He put an arm around her. "Tired?" She nodded as she laid her head on his shoulder. Niel cleared his throat. "She's my girlfriend, hyung," It became awkward. "Since you can't take her home, I'll go ahead and take her. Her brother is probably worried," Without another word, Chunji stood up, grabbed Sung Mi's hand, and raced out the door. "You didn't have to walk me home, Chunji oppa," she smiled at him. "How did you get those scars?" He pointed at her legs, not smiling. She flinched. "What scars?" She pretended to not know about them. "You know what I am talking about. Tell me, please," Sung Mi sighed. "When Oppa almost died.. I became very depressed, and..." she frowned. She really didn't want to say the rest. "And?" Chunji questioned. "I cut myself, it's over now," she shrugged. His eyes widened. "Sung Mi-ssi... Please don't do it again. If anything ever happens, and you think about doing it, please contact me. I'll be there for you. Changjo too," he frowned and hugged her. "It's alright, I don't plan on doing it again," she hugged him back. Chunji kissed the top of her head. "I really love you guys," she mumbled into his chest. He couldn't help but smile at this.
