His Favorite Cake (1/1)

-Kyuhyun-          Kyuhyun sat in a cheap plastic chair in his room, looking out the vast window into the nature behind the glass. The weather seemed to reflect Kyuhyun’s mood perfectly. The threatening clouds moved across the dooming gray sky at an unbelievable speed. The random deadly flashes of lightning struck fear into all that saw, and the booming thunder shook the world to its very core.             Kyu pulled himself away from the window, to look at the trash heap that became his room. The discarded bottles of alcohol littered the floor, and half eaten sandwiches along with dirty clothes made the stench in the room almost unbearable. It had only been two days since the dinner at Jane’s house, butt it looked like he had been in this condition for years.    He decided to get some air, and stepped out onto the rain-drenched balcony. The rain beat hard against his sheltered skin, to the point where Kyuhyun winced when the rain hit him. It felt good to be distracted, even for a minute. To forget the perfect girl with the perfect boyfriend.-Jane-   Jane smoothed her red curls back into place, as she hurried inside the lobby of an apartment building to get away from the storm. She looked into one of the mirrors by the elevator while she waited.  The smooth ‘Ding’ signaled that the elevator had arrived, and she pressed the ‘7’ button that would take her to the top floor. At her destination, she stepped out, avoiding hitting any of the fragile vases with the large box she was carrying.   She walked past several doors before she reached the apartment she wanted, Leeteuk’s Home. She removed the key he had given her from her bag, and let herself into the finely furnished home.    Leeteuk was in his 2nd year at Harvard, majoring in Business Management. He went home for the summer, to spend it with his soon to be wife. He was thinking about proposing to her in the fall, when Jane would join him at Harvard.   Jane placed the box on the dark granite counter and removed the cake she had made for her love. A vanilla cake, frosted with soft pink icing, and hand-decorated with white icing angels done by Jane herself. In between the two angels, in neat cursive icing, were the words Jane + Teuk forever. It was Leeteuk’s favorite when she baked for him. After she arranged the cake, she softly called “Teukie! I have something for you!”     She waited patiently for a response, but all she heard was the sound of weight shifting over the springs of a mattress. She guessed that the sound was coming from Leeteuk’s bedroom. She tip-toed across the shiny parquet floor, but stopped when she heard another sound coming from the room.“Mmm...” Leeteuk’s melodic voice grumbled strangely.       Jane dared to inch forward. She heard yes another strange noise coming from the room. It sounded like someone was clapping, but only deeper and slower. Jane noticed that the door to Leeteuk’s room was cracked open just a bit, so she could see inside.  What was in the room shocked Jane.    Leeteuk was naked on the bed, with another woman, an Asian woman. He was smiling at her in a way that he never smiled at Jane. Jane could not tell who the woman was, because her back was to her, but she could tell she was naked too. It was too obvious what was going on.The woman slowly turned around, and crawled on top of Leeteuk and began to kiss his toned chest, her face now in Jane’s view. Jane looked hard , and recognized the woman. It was Kang Sora, a Korean actress who spent her summers in Los Angeles. How dare he!  Jane thought to herselfWith a bitch he has never met before!    Jane was lost, she had never experienced this kind of betrayal before. She never dated in High School, because her parents decided from a very young age, that she was destined to be with Leeteuk. She accepted her fate (along with her parent’s perfectionist ideas and need for total control over Jane’s life), and even started to love Leeteuk for who he really was, and not just another son of a rich guy. She backed away from the door, and smacked into the wall, making a low ‘thump’ sound. The sensual noises from the other room ceased.“Baby, did you hear that?” Sora asked“No, baby, you are hearing things” Leeteuk whispered sensually against her skin, as tears welled in Jane’s eyes. She held herself together, until she walked over to the cake and re-read the inscription:Jane + Teuk Forever.“Bullshit” Jane allowed herself to let out a barely audible whisper. She wiped the single tear from her rosy cheek, and slinked out of the apartment with a heavy, burdened soul.-Kyuhyun-“Now you’ve done it, Kyu!” Sungmin, Super Junior’s little doctor scolded “You’ve gone and gotten sick”His pouty expression was enough to draw a small, sad smile from Kyu’s lips. Sungmin looked at the thermometer that he just removed from Kyuhyun’s mouth, and gaped at the reading.“104°F!!! What the hell were you even doing half-naked standing in the middle of a level one hurricane?”“Living the dangerous life…” he said in a bland monotone.Min sighed at his dongsaeng “Whatever, Kyu… Just go and sleep it off…”Kyuhyun obeyed his hyung, and dragged his cold body to his dingy bedroom. He burrowed down under the warm, fluffy covers, and began to doze off, when he heard his phone buzz on his bed stand. He grabbed the small gadget, and without looking at the caller, answered the phone. He tried to have a sense of humor.“Hello, this is Super Junior’s adorable maknae, Kyuhyun, How may I help you in this fine day?”“Kyu” a sad, sniffling voice cooed from the other end of the line. The voice that had made his heard flutter only three days ago, and bawl his eyes out in the middle of a hurricane, was now calling him, but he dint want to admit he was exited.“W-Who is this?”“Its Jane, Jane Emerson. Can you come over? I need to talk to you.”
