Chap 39 (1/1)
TIFFANY’S POV I told Yuri and Nichkhun that I will be alright with my own. After I assure them with lots of arguing and demanding, they finally gave in and left my apartment. I sat down on my bed while thinking about why Jessica suddenly punched Nichkhun on the face. Is it because of me? Because she was mad at me? I got up from the bed and walked outside my room to grab something to eat. I poured myself a glass of milk and ate the toasted bread. I sat down while enjoying my breakfast. I grabbed the newspaper and started reading it. As I guess, Jessica’s and my face was on the headline. I checked the date of the newspaper and it was yesterday. After I finished my breakfast, I went back to my room. I was folding my blanket when my phone ringing. I looked at the caller and it was a call from my dad. “Hi dad.” “Tiffany. How are you?” “I’m fine dad. You and mommy?” “We are fine. I read the news about you and Jessica.. Is everything alright?” “Yeah it’s just a married couple quarrel.. You know.. Not a big deal.” “Well.. I’m glad nothing really big happened.” I walked to the window. I slid the curtain opened and the sunlight came brighten my room. I watched as the car passing by on the road as the traffic light changed. It was a sunny busy day. I heard a click sound from my front door but I’m not worry about it because it was probably Jessica. “Dad I have to go.” “Okay sweetheart. Take care. Bye bye.” “Bye dad. You too.” I put my phone on the table and back staring at the window. I started counting and less than five seconds my room door opened. I stared at the shadow formed on the windows and smiled a little bit. I was right that was Jessica the one who came. “Tiffany…” She called my name but it wasn’t a sweet gentle voice that I usually heard. I turned around with my arms still on my chest while staring at her. She looks even messier than yesterday. “This is the divorce paper that you asked yesterday. If there is something wrong with it. Just tell me. I will ask Mr. Kwon to correct it for you.” She smiled faintly while sliding the brown envelope on the bed and looked away from me. I grabbed the paper, pulled the paper away from the envelope and started reading it. ‘Is she really doing this?’ I asked myself when I see her sign on the paper. I got mad and threw it away.
“STUPID JESSICA!” I shouted at her and she looked at me. “Are you not going to fight for our marriage?” Her eyes widen the moment she heard what I say but she didn’t say anything so I repeated myself. “I asked you! Are you really not going to fight for our marriage?!” I asked her again and I started crying because I was hurt. ‘She didn’t just give up on me.. Right?’ said the little voice in my head. “I love you. I really do. But I made a mistake so many times. I was hurt and hopeless when we didn’t see each other. I was happy and nervous to meet you yesterday. But then you told me that you can’t forgive me this time..” she paused, catching her breath. “How can you be so stupid?” I asked her and kept crying. “I only want to make you happy, Tiffany. I’ve been giving you a lot of pain. I just..” she paused, “I just want you to smile and not sad and cry because of me. So I think to myself If he can make you happy.. What can I do?? If divorce is the only thing that can make you happy.. I would do it. Just for you. I don’t care if I became poor for divorcing you or my father disowns me. But you deserve to be happy too.” She whispered the last part. I didn’t say anything and continue sobbing. “You are a good and a kind person.” She let out a small sigh before walking towards me. She tried to hug me but I pushed her away. “I’m sorry.. Please don’t cry.” She lifted my chin up and apologized. I wiped my own tears before staring into her eyes, “How can you be so stupid!” “I’m sorry.” She apologized and her eyes became red and I could see that she was holding back her tears. I hugged her and we didn’t say anything. She rubbed her hand on my back trying to calm me down and then I remembered her statement earlier. “What do you mean? Who is this him you are talking about?” I asked her and pulled away. “You know who..” she replied and she put her hand on her hips, glaring at me. “You weren’t talking about Nichkhun right?” “No. I was talking about his driver.” She said sarcastically and rolled her eyes, “of course I was talking about him! Who else?” “Is that why you punched him in the face yesterday? Because you were jealous?” I asked her, trying so hard not to grin at her silliness with tears still left on my eyes. “I am not jealous okay. I just hate him and his handsome face.” She scoffed and looked away. She glanced at me from the corner of her eyes for a minute before she wiped the tears away from my eyes, “Please don’t cry again. I don’t want to see you cry.” I let her wiped the tears away from my face before I confessed, “I don’t want to divorce with you.” “Did you have sex with him when we weren’t talking?” she blurted out. I frowned while staring at her, “What?!” “He--“ she stopped, “Nevermind.” She shook her head at her thought and looked at me again, “So you don’t want to divorce with me?” “Do you?” I countered her. “Do
