A Not-So-Date Date with T (1/2)

You and Taejun walked into the restaurant you took L.Joe to on his first day in New York.

"Table for two, sir?" The waiter asked Taejun.

Taejun nodded. "Mind grabbing us a table out in the balcony?" The waiter hesitated. Taejun took the waiter's hand and put something in it conspicuously. The waiter looked at it and nodded.

"Right this way," he led the two of you upstairs to an isolated area on the balcony.

"Wow...." you mumbled. This was the first time you came to this part of the restaurant. Although it was already dark out, the balcony was lit up with candles and lights. The waiter brought you to a table and said he'd be back to take your orders.

Taejun pulled out your seat and motioned for you to sit down. You blushed and sat down. He sat down across from you and looked at the menu. "What would you like?"

You shrugged. "I'm okay with whatever you order."

Taejun grinned. "Fine then, since I'm really hungry, I'm going to order everything which means I'll have to order everything for you too," he sighed. "That's going to be a lot of money."

Your eyes widened. "Then I don't want anything!" You panicked.

Taejun chuckled. "I'm kidding. I just want you to order what you like."

You pouted. "You're evil,"

"I know," he replied in Korean.

You spent the next hour getting to know each other. Taejun continued to ask you questions about yourself and he'd reply with facts about himself. When dessert came, he forced you to eat it from him.

"Say ahh~" he smirked.

You frowned and opened your mouth.

"I have something to ask you," he said when you were both done with the pie.

"You've been asking me questions all night and I've been answering them all night."

He chuckled. "True. But this one is important."

You looked at him cautiously.

"Did you think about what I told you...?"

You furrowed your eyebrows. "About what?"

"The L.Joe kid."

You bit your lip. "Well..."

Taejun waited for you to give him an answer.

"I'm not going to date him. I know you're right and he'll be leaving soon so I don't think it's worth it to be with him for only a few weeks...not that he likes me," you explained.

Taejun rolled his eyes at that. "I don't want you to think I'm forcing you to let him down because I like you..."
