Be my Girl (1/2)
"You have something on your lips," L.Joe stated. The two of you were in a cafe a few blocks away from your school. Before you could wipe it away, L.Joe leaned in and swiped his finger across your lips. Your cheeks turned pink at the contact.
"There, it's gone now," he said, leaning back into his seat and then wiping his finger with a napkin.
"Thank you," you managed to mumble.
L.Joe nodded. You looked away, afraid of eye contact. *I have to stop blushing. He'll think I like him.*
You looked down at your coffee and frowned. *Stupid frothy coffee.*
From the corner of your eye, you saw L.Joe take a sip of his coffee as he looked out the window. You giggled when a bunch of froth remained on his upper lip.
"Now you have something on your lip," you laughed. You leaned in like he did to remove it. He looked at you expectantly but you froze because of how close his face was to yours. He looked down at your lips and began leaning in more to close the distance until someone cleared their throat. Immediately, the both of you leaned back into your seats.
"Am I interrupting something?" Taejun asked darkly, standing in front of your booth.
You shook your head.
"Good," he grinned. He sat down next to you and put his arm around your shoulder. "I missed you," he whispered in your ear. You shivered at the proximity.
L.Joe cocked his eyebrow. "What do you want?" He asked, not bothering to speak in English.
"I wanna spend time with my girlfriend," Taejun replied back. He spoke in Korean too.
You looked at Taejun, astounded. "Girl what?"
He grinned at you. "Yea, from today on, you're my girlfriend."
L.Joe glared at him. "I doubt ~~~~ would want to be your girlfriend."
"Nobody asked you."
"Isn't America a free country? I can say whatever the hell I want," L.Joe said, visibly upset now. He clenched his fists and furrowed his eyebrows.
Taejun laughed. "You have obviously only been here for a while. Nothing in this country is free."
