Lunch with L.Joe (1/1)

"Byunghun ah, you're hardly eating. I thought you were famished," your dad said, looking at L.Joe's plate.L.Joe looked down too and grinned sheepishly. "I thought I was too. I guess I'm still getting used to the environment. I've never been to New York before." He picked up his fork and started playing with his food before he put it in his mouth."You'll love New York. It's not that different from Cali, Byunghun goon," Vicky smiled.Byunghun looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "I was wondering, why do you all call me by real name? Most of my fans call me L.Joe."Vicky grinned. "It’s because of ~~~~. She insists that we call idols by their real names."You blushed and nudged Vicky. *Why is she always like this?*"She says they're real people so we should treat them like real people.""You can shut up now," You glared at Vicky.L.Joe smiled. *Wow, ~~~~ is really nice.*Vicky stuck out her tongue and then turned her attention to your dad."Say, dad, I have class in an hour. Mind dropping me off?"He nodded. "But what about them?" He asked, looking at you and L.Joe."~~~~ knows how to get home." Vicky said, standing up. "Let's go or I'll be late." She grabbed your dad's arm and the both of them rushed out.You blinked in surprise. *She left me alone with him on purpose.*You turned back to L.Joe and frowned. "I'm sorry, she's really weird."L.Joe shook his head. "I'm used to it. I live with 5 other boys and they're much weirder than Vicky noona."You giggled, remembering the other members of Teen Top.Before you could say anything else, a waiter walked by with a bunch of roses in his hand."Would you like to buy a rose for your girlfriend?" He asked L.Joe.You turned pink in embarrassment. "He's not my boyfriend," you said at the same time L.Joe asked, "how much?"Your eyes widened at L.Joe's response."Only $2, sir," the man answered, completely ignoring you. L.Joe took out his wallet and gave him a 10 dollar bill. "Can I get two please?" The man handed him two roses and his change and walked away.You just sat there watching the exchange. "Here you go," he said in Korean this time, giving you one of the roses. You blushed. "Uhm thank you but you didn't have to." You took the rose and put it on your lap."It's the least I could do. You welcomed me into your home." L.Joe smiled softly.You just nodded and then noticed the other rose in his hand. He looked down at the rose too and grinned. "It's for your sister. I don't want her to think anything is going on between us." *Not that I would mind.*You nodded in agreement but you were a little sad. *Guess he doesn't like me like that.*After the both of you were finished with dessert, you gave the waiter a tip and both of you walked out of the restaurant.“So, do you want to go home now?” You asked him, hoping he’d say no. You wanted to show him your neighborhood.L.Joe shrugged. “I’m not tired anymore so if there’s anything you want to show me…” he said, trailing off.You smiled at him and nodded. “I live only a few blocks away from here. I could show you around.”“Sounds like a plan.”When you and L.Joe were walking around, you pointed to the different stores and buildings. L.Joe just nodded, trying to take it all in.“Oof,” you said, accidentally bumping into someone when you weren’t looking where you were going. “I’m sorry,” you said, rubbing your head.“Well if it isn’t Lee ~~~~,” the person said. You looked up and frowned. “Oh no…” you mumbled.----------------------sorry it's still boring >< the next chapter is going to have a little more drama I promise
