It was the day of the Premiere for Dark Places. Your manager, Seungjin drove you to the SM building for an appointment with your stylist. But when you entered the dressing room, it wasn’t your stylist that was waiting.

There were two women dressed in black in the dressing room. Even though you were confused, you greeted them anyways. They told you to sit on the chair and they’ll explain why they were there.So, you sat on the chair and listened. What they told you didn’t make sense to you. They said that they were there to give you a face lift. Botox to be exact. Why would they come all of a sudden, telling you that were going to give you Botox?You quickly shook your head, not wanting anything needle-like near your face. You liked the way you looked. You didn’t want anything on your face to be changed or modified. But, they said that they were going to be paid a lot if you were to get some. When you asked who made the appointment, they said it was your CEO.That surprised you. Why would Kim Youngmin want you to modify your face? He never paid attention to you so why would he care all of a sudden?Even though you didn’t reply, they started to unload their box and prepare for the injections. As the women did what they needed to do, you saw the needles and it freaked you out! You hated needles. It was one of your worst fears when you were a child and it still is even though you’re 21.You quickly stood up, not wanting to do it at all. But one of the two women pushed you back down. She was stronger than she looked. She looked at you with eyes that would freeze anyone as she held you down. You quickly turned your head to find Seungjin’s but he wasn’t there. So, you looked around the room and saw that the door was open. There was yelling outside the door. Seungjin’s voice mixed with Kim Youngmin!

“Why are you doing this sir? She doesn’t need this!” Seungjin defended you.

“Yes she does! She is becoming one of my icons for our company! Her face needs to be appealing to the public.” Youngmin replied.

“She is fine the way she is! She’s beautiful without all of it!” Seungjin yelled.

“Kim Seungjin! If you talk back again you’re fired!” Youngmin said sternly.

“At least tell me where is she going to be injected please CEO.”

“Her cheekbones and her chin. She already has a v-line face. If you inject some into her chin, it’ll look perfect. Now, let me check on her.” Youngmin said and entered the room.You turned your head back, not wanting to look at the horrible man entering the room. He stood beside you and spoke to the women.“Hurry and do it. The premiere is in 3 hours.” Youngmin commanded and left.Seungjin entered the room, mouthing “Sorry” to you. You forced a smiled and mouthed “It’s okay” back at him.“Okay Miss, relax your face. It’ll be quick. You don’t need a lot.” One woman said as she grabbed a syringe with silicon in it. You bit your lip and shut your eyes tight.“Ms! I said relax you face!” the woman said with a raised voice. You quickly opened your eyes and closed them again, trying to relax. You then felt a pinch on around your cheek area and then your chin. The chin hurt the most.“Okay, you’re done. Look in the mirror.” the woman said as she put the syringe up.You opened your eyes and looked at the mirror in front of you. You were horrified. You didn’t look the same. Your face looked a lot slimmer and you looked like you aged. You tried to smile but you couldn’t smile all the way like you usually do. You originally have a bright smile that lid up the room, but you could only show half of it. It was a very sad scene to look at in all honesty.Seungjin came up from behind you and patted your back. He apologized, feeling horrible about what just happened but you forced up a smile again.

3 hours later, you were on the way to the premiere. Your real stylist tried to make the Botox less noticeable but makeup couldn't make your face less plastic and stiff. She even put in extensions in your hair to distract everyone from looking at your face.When you arrived, you breathed in and breathed out and opened the door. You tried to make your smile look natural as you walked the red carpet to the photo area. You smiled at the cameras, trying to look as natural as possible as the MCs gave you a brief interview. After it was over, you walked off the platform and walked into the building. You sighed and went straight to the restroom to look at yourself. Before you turned the corner, there were people talking as they were leaving.“Have you seen ___? What happened to her face?” “Yeah! She looks so unnatural! She looks really old now. Like, the same age as Boa. Now they’re literally twins.”After you heard that, you didn’t want to even look yourself in the mirror. You turned around so they wouldn't notice as they passed you. After they were not in sight, you power walked though the hallway but in the process, you bumped into someone. You bowed and apologized, not looking at the person you bumped into. You then tried to leave but the person stopped you.“Hey, you’re ___ right? You look nice today. I’m a fan of your music.” You turned around to see who was complementing you. To your surprise, it was your one of your favorite actors of all time, Choi Daniel. You bowed and quietly said thank you. You turned around to leave again but he stopped you again.“Um, if it’s okay with you, do you want to sit with me during the movie? I have no one else.” That surprised you. You looked up at him and he had a pleasant smile on his face. You hesitated to reply, but you nodded in response.“Great! I’ll go ahead and get our seats! And, don’t worry about how you look. You look nice.” He said and smiled as he walked off to find seats.Then it hit you. He knew how you were feeling. But how? Was it pity? Was that why he asked you to sit with him?

After the movie, you quickly got out of your seat to leave. But, before you could leave, he started talking to you.“Hey, um, I know you already know why I asked you to sit with me. And I’m sorry if I offended you or if I made you think something bad about me. But, I just want to tell you that I hardly noticed and that you look fine.”You turned around, looking at him. “But how did you know?”He rubbed his neck. “I-I overheard the girls who exited the restroom.”“Oh. Well, um, thanks. Thank you for being nice to me. I appreciate it.” You bowed.“It’s okay. Anyways, I guess we should leave.” Daniel gestured you to walk first but you didn’t move. You said you needed to use the restroom and left.Instead of going to the bathroom, you exited at the back to make sure he didn’t see you. You then walked to your van and Seungjin drove you home.
