The Assassins (1/1)

The night was dark and moonless. The path to the palace was dangerous, filled with the smell of blood. There was a fight there, Chanyeol could sense it. He took a glance of Prince Baekhyun who was inside the Ghama (carrier). Park Chanyeol kicked his horse once and came closer to the prince’s carrier.“Jeoha…” Chanyeol’s voice stuttered.“What is it?”“Do you feel the same thing, Jeoha? Someone must have died. We should go faster, I suggest you to go with me. Horse is faster than these people.”“If you it’s what you’re suggesting, I should do it then. I’ll change my clothes first.” The King already arrived at the palace, resting, but worried at the same time. He tried to sleep but his son’s safety was disturbing him. The palace servant, the King’s closest palace eunuch realized his King couldn’t rest his mind.“Jeonha… what is it that is disturbing your mind?”“You know I’m waiting for prince Baekhyun.”“He’ll be alright, Jeonha. You also already send an additional troop to pick him. Prince Baekhyun will be okay.” The fact, the additional troops that were sent by the King to pick and escort the prince back to the palace were all dead. They were attacked by the private troops sent by the right state minister, Do Kyungsoo. He got enough power so that he could change who became the queen of the country, but he had not succeed to make his grandson, prince Sehun became the successor of Joseon. He would try any method to bring power to his family side. Even though prince Sehun has no intention to become the successor of Joseon, Do Kyungsoo gave him pressure to take the title of crown prince from his brother, prince Baekhyun. In his heart, Sehun always wanted to be close with his brother. Unfortunately, people don’t want to see them to be in good terms. He even felt sorry when his mom became the queen instead of Baekhyun’s  mother. He really respected and loved  Baekhyun and his mother like his own mother. Because of the political circumstances, he even felt that his father, King Suho gave him less attention because people tried to hurt Baekhyun. And those people were his own family, and his grandfather, Do Kyungsoo was the person who hates Baekhyun’s family the most. Although Sehun showed no interest to be involved in the politic, people always dragged him in to the complicated politic situations. Another troop, private troop of the right state minister attacked the troop that escorts the crown prince. Using swords were enough to kill all the troops, but Do Kyungsoo’s private troop attacked with arrows too. They thought that Park Chanyeol who is the best swordsman in Joseon. But he wasn’t there. The private troop succeeded to kill all the people who escort prince Baekhyun. Fortunately, the crown prince wasn’t there. There was no one inside the carrier.On the other path to the palace, two horses already reached Hanyang, the center of Joseon. Prince Baekhyun and Park Chanyeol were riding fast to reach the palace. The palace was the safest place for the crown prince, even though it was a boring place for Baekhyun.The gate of the palace opened as the guard see the figure of Park Chanyeol with the other guy riding horse beside him, which is no other than prince Baekhyun. They were back to the palace, safe and sound.
