"Why did you do that?" This question left you hanging for an answer when Chanyeol suddenly left to go home after he had taken you back in front of your doorstep. It was when classes were over and Chanyeol asked if he could walk you home, which you agreed willingly. The moment you got inside your house, you nimble and got changed in some comfy clothes so you can take a rest after such an odd experience at school. It gave you a feeling of fear and revulsion whenever the face of the bloody hell of a body would pop into your fallible mind. "What was that all about." you asked yourself while you were in the sala seated peacefully on one of those fluffy epicurean sofa positioned just near your window. Taking the remote control in your hands, you flipped open the television as you scanned for channels, looking for a good drama to watch, a variety show perhaps. It was only 4 in the afternoon and you were bored, thinking you have nothing else to do for the rest of the day. Snapping your fingers as you sat up straight, you dashed into your bedroom to get something from your study table. The book. Yes, that untitled white book. … It was that one bright, blistering morning when I decided to take a walk outside of my hutch. The streets were empty, but my heart was filled with so much joy even though the surrounding was awfully abandoned. It was an indescribable feeling that only I could probably understand, it was that feeling of happiness and anxiety, sadness and joy.It was something bittersweet. The feeling of being alone had started to make my life become felicitous. The sight of the dancing daffodils in the garden, the sweet scent of the morning breeze was too perfect that it made me want to spend my days just staring at that tonic scenery rather than locking myself inside a shell no one can keep me in forever. It imparted me vitality, providing me an extreme feeling of the urge to continue my journey to a happy place. But nothing's perfect in this world. Everything has its own imperfections, its defects-- its own negative side. Walking through a field of flowers as the petals tickled my skin, I spread my arms wide as if to fly in the sky..I wanted to fly, I've always wanted to do it.. But I couldn’t. Because I had no wings to begin with. Building courage as I approached a brisk looking castle, it was as if my body would collapse in a second, seeing such a beautiful being by the door, waiting for me to arrive. He was waiting, had always been waiting for me. … "Now I do think it's worth the read." you mumbled as you continued reading the words, until it turned into sentences, and from sentences, it turned into paragraphs, until the pages were full of short sayings, deep descriptions, but was better to understand. It was as if you were sucked inside the book that you couldn’t take your eyes off from the pages. … Slapping your arm as you felt a bug crawl softly on your skin, you shot up eyeing that open window just behind you causing the book to fall from your hands. You picked it up from the floor before you stood up to secure the glass panes which were inadvertently, open. As you stood by the first window near the piece of furniture in the corner, you noticed how dark the clouds had become and how the stars had started to show up. Thinking that it was just four in the afternoon. You looked down on the road seeing a few number of vehicles passing by, kicking their horns out making you jump a bit from the loud sound. It made you take a glance from the pendulum clock hanging on your brick wall. "8PM?" you uttered. In disbelief, you even checked if your clock was working just fine. You checked the time on your phone, from the television, from your alarm clock, and yes it was, 8 in the evening. "No way." Walking out of your house, you thought about which room was Chanyeol's. The numbers were all jumbled up inside your head though, so you stood in front of your doorstep outside for a minute or so, just poking on your temples continuously until you would remember your first meeting with him. That time when he told you about which room was his even without you asking. Heaving a sigh, you started walking slowly, eyeing the numbers from door to door thinking if it could give you a better hint of Chanyeol's condo unit number. What was the room number again? Stopping at each door one by one, you thought about it real deep like you were in the midst of taking up an exam to which you knew about the answer and you just can't say it. "Was it room 82B? 83? 84? 85?" "86B? Wait. I think it's 86B." Smiling to yourself like in victory when you thought you had found what you were looking for, you shot straight up in front of room 86B before knocking twice, waited for Chanyeol to open it for you. Tick. The door then clicked open, slowly. "Hi Chanyeol. Did I disturb you?" you greeted nicely as you took a step back so the door can be opened widely for you, only to find someone else standing awkwardly in front, taking away your smiles. "Uh-- room 86B right?" you asked once more, just to make sure. ".. Y- Yes." the man in front of you stuttered softly. The face looked so familiar, so you turned to look behind you, seeing your room with the door partially opened. It was that room across yours. "You are.. Luhan?"".. Yes." Like time stopped when your eyes met, half a minute had passed before you could even take your eyes off of him to snap back and introduce yourself. "Ah. Right. I'm Ju hyun by the way. Kim Ju hyun. I live next door, right here." you uttered with a sheepishly grin on your face, quite embarrassed about your own stupidity as you pointed at the door behind you, your house. The person in front of you named Luhan nodded once, as he offered a handshake to which you gladly accepted. Biting your bottom lip, you hung your head low as you said, a hint of disappointment in your voice, "It's nice to meet you, Luhan. I was actually looking for my friend's room and I didn’t notice I was already trying to barge into yours. I'm really sorry." "No-- I mean, it's okay." he said as he held onto the knob of his front door. Something then suddenly fell on the floor, making you take a look around, snapping out from your frivolous concentration. You saw Chanyeol in front of what seemed to be the right room number, his house. He must've dropped his keys on the floor. "Right, I was looking for that person, that's my friend. Sorry to disturb you Luhan, it's nice to meet you." you flashed him a smile before bowing to go to Chanyeol who didn’t seem to have noticed you.You ran towards him with a simper, you heart about to jump off from your chest thinking about the embarrassment you had stuck yourself into. "Ju hyun. What are you doing out so late?" Chanyeol asked as he had finally got to open his door.Catching your breath as you got on your knees, you pointed at his door and so he welcomed you inside. "God, make me remember this number please?" you mumbled as you sat on the huge navy blue sofa which was way larger than yours. Well your height, makes the difference. "Wait, what are you talking about?" he asked as he poured some water on a glass, handing it to calm you down from your breathless cognitive. He seemed to have gone out earlier to buy something. "I was-- well. Looking for your room. But I couldn’t quite remember your room number so I tried thinking, and then I thought it could be 86B. So I knocked, and someone else opened it, the Luhan guy.""Ah, Luhan. So how's he?""He's okay, he's just shy. Hey, wait. That's not my point. I mean, it's embarrassing that we get to introduce ourselves just because of a slightly stupid mistake""Stop panting. Catch your breath, and then talk." Keeping your mouth tightly shut for a minute or so, you leaned behind you with a mumble trying to play your lips. You stared at the ceiling for another minute, seeing a plain but bright surface welcoming you as if it was daylight. The scent of his room was pretty much, inviting and the walls were tempting to the eyes. The architecture of his home was just perfect for someone like him. "Ju hyun. You okay now?" he suddenly talked, taking you back to reality a bit too abruptly. Glancing at him in a quick manner, you nodded at him saying, "Yeah. Sort of. So where were you?" "Me? I was out. Bought some snacks on my way home.""Really? I see. Wait, do you live alone in here? Your house is a bit gloomy." "I have no siblings. So you could say that." Chanyeol's voice boomed in echoes."I see. Same here. And your parents?""Both are gone. Died from a car crash. I lived with my grandparents back in the province but I decided to study, so I left them there." Staring at him with sympathy, you whispered "I'm sorry to hear that." "It's okay. I'm used to it. And it's not that I get to feel the same emotions every day." "I see. But you know what, sometimes I feel more than regretful for coming here." Turning his head surprisingly to look at you, he asked "And why is that?" "My mom never agreed with my decision of studying here. It's a bit selfish." "But you’re lucky. Because you still have someone to stop you from achieving your goals. I think it's the big challenge there. Unlike me, I'm alone. I can do whatever I want without people trying to stop me. It's boring I'm telling you." "You're not alone giant. I'm here, we're friends now aren't we?" /Chanyeol blushing/ … "I'll see you tomorrow. Good night." Chanyeol muttered as he stood behind the door, pulling it open for you."I had a nice talk with you. Good night, sweet dreams.""You too." You glanced him a huge smile before dashing back to your home to get some sleep. It was almost 10 in the evening and the talk you had with Chanyeol went on a bit too long. But it's fun, it's hilarious. Talking to him had become something to look forward to every day. Before pushing your door open, you noticed a dinky white sticky note posted just beside the keyhole of your front door. You became so curious you had no choice but to read what was written in there, in tiny, but in easily deciphered letters. "I hope you get to visit me again soon, not by mistake.. .. but by a plain purpose."  … I tapped my unforbearing fingers over the vulnerably frail pane,Waiting.A silver light suddenly came across the incarcerated barricades,Lifting up the bridge of life and death away. … I must've been becharmed by your pulchritude. It's addicting, a bit perplexing.  You moved your lips and you maundered, the sound of amicable waves swaying, so enticing. You gazed at me with the most ravishing eyes,As my heart stopped when your fingertips traveled, crawling. This may be a commencement for living, Mark me with obsession, until my heart stops beating.
