Marie woke up in the hospital. Her whole body was aching. She was hooked into some types of machines and her wrists were neatly wrapped. Her bedside table had some flowers on it. They were lilies. Her favourites. Suddenly someone peeked their head through the door.“Sweetie, how are you?” Marie heard Daniel’s soft voice. She smiled a little.“Hurts everywhere. What happened?” she asked. Daniel sat down next to her bed. He took her hand in his and kissed it lightly.“We came to see what’s up and found you on the bathroom floor” he said sadly.“And my parents? Do they know about this?” she asked worriedly.“Don’t worry about it. You’re safe now. We will let no one hurt you ever again” Daniel said softly and kissed her forehead.“You okay there, M?” Jeesu asked from the doorway, followed by the other members. Marie smiled weakly.“Much better now that you guys are here” she replied, looking at each of the boys. Her smile faded away slowly.“Yuk, that’s so cheesy!” she stuck her tongue out. Inati and Simon laughed.“Alright, guys, we should let Marie get some sleep now” Daniel said, shushing everyone out of the room. Marie grabbed his wrist.“Don’t leave me, please” she pleaded. Daniel took her hand in his.“Don’t worry, I’ll be back the first thing tomorrow” he smiled reassuringly. Marie hesitantly let go of his hand and Daniel left the room.～The next day Daniel came back to Marie just like he promised. Daniel was reading a newspaper, and Marie was playing Ice Cream Jump on his cellphone. (A/N: I’m so obsessed with that game.) Suddenly, they both heard a silent knock. Marie sighed frustrated as she stopped her game and handed the phone back to Daniel. Daniel smiled and put his newspaper into his lap.“Come in” Marie cooed. The door opened, and Marie’s doctor and two policemen stepped into the room.”Hello Marie, how are you today?” the doctor smiled at her.“Fine” she simply replied, wanting to back to her game.“These men are here to ask you some questions about what happened” the doctor explained. The taller police cleared his throat.“If that’s okay with you” he said. Marie nodded. Daniel folded his newspaper and was about to leave. Marie grabbed his wrist.“Stay here” she pleaded, looking at the policemen as if she was asking whether it was okay. They nodded and Daniel hesitantly sat back down.“And who is this friend of yours?” the shorter police asked.“This is my best friend, Daniel Chae” Marie smiled when she said the words “best friend.” She had never called anyone that before.“So, you must be the Daniel Chae I talked on the phone with this morning?” the taller police asked Daniel. Daniel rubbed his forehead and avoided eye contact with Marie.“Yeah…” he mumbled. Marie looked at him, surprised.～“YOU TOLD THEM EVERYTHING?!?!” Marie screamed at Daniel when the doctor and the policemen left. Daniel sat on Marie’s bed and tried to shush her.“Shhh, look, sweetie, I only did it for you, okay?” he tried calming her.“Oh well, that worked out quite nicely, didn’t it? Daniel, my parents are arrested! Did you think what is going to happen when they get out?!” she continued screaming. Daniel stroked her hair lightly.“They  won’t get out, and even if they do, they won’t get to hurt you” he told her calmly. Marie ripped his hands off of her and crossed her arms.“They will get out eventually, you know. And once they do, there’s nothing that’s going to stop them from killing me. And you!” she protested loudly.“If they do get out, it’s your fault!” Daniel shouted at her. He saw Marie’s tear-filled eyes and immediately regretted his words.“What I meant was… You need to stop defending them. All these years they’ve been hurting you, and you just have put up with it. That needs to stop.”“But Daniel… Maybe they have hurt me but they’re my parents. They’re all I have” Marie whispered. Daniel took her face into his hands.“No they’re not. You have us now, right? We are never going anywhere” he said and gave Marie a small smile. Jeesu, Inati, Simon and DongLim stepped into the room.“Hey” Jeesu cooed. He saw Marie wiping away her tears and frowned.“Is everything okay?” he asked. Daniel stood up and smiled.“Sure. Now that you guys are here, I have some things to do” he said and left. Inati sat next to Marie and pulled her into a hug.“It’s okay. Oppa’s here” Inati said to the weeping Marie, giving puzzled looks to his members.  SORRY GUISE, THIS REALLY IS SUPER CHEESY! :P
