Chapter - One (1/1)

Bae Joohyun, mostly known as Irene, is the most popular student in campus. She's a straight A student, President of the Student Council, a cheerleader, a Goddess— as what people associate her with— a beauty and most importantly, humble. She's basically every man's ideal type. Alot of people want to date her, yet the girl doesn't give them answers. Or maybe it's her own way to reject them. Still, she don't want to date any of them.  Many think that she's already interested on somebody, yet her admirers won't give up. There isn't any proof, so they might as well try.  *** Irene was tasked to give some papers to the librarian every lunch time, Monday to Friday. Being the Student Council President is not easy, she observed. She barely rest because she has alot of works to do. Handing papers to the librarian is just an easy task, but she needed to add the task to her work list— which already has alot of working to do. Thankfully, she managed to force the task in her already-tiresome schedule. She's on her way to the library, hands filled with papers she needed to deliver. She's been greeted by the students she met on her way to the library. It has always been like this that it became a routine for her. Irene has always been an observer. She would always observe her surroundings, including people. So there's no way she wouldn't miss the girl sitting at the farthest corner of the library.  The girl is reading a book, as usual, her big glasses covering her eyes, hair into a nerdy two braid. Definitely what a nerd would dress like. There's nothing specifically special about the girl that made Irene observe her. The girl is just always inside the library, which no one goes to hangout at. Maybe it's just because the girl likes reading, and the library is the most suitable place to read. But sometimes, the girl is just staring outside the window. Irene found herself curious about the nerd girl.  — I R E N E — I finally arrived at the library. As usual, there's like three or four people inside it, including the nerd girl I've always been curious of. “Mrs. Lee, here are the papers.” I said as I placed the papers at the front desk. “Oh thanks, Irene.” Mrs. Lee smiled as she looked at the papers, and then to me. “You must be tired from all the work, aren't you?” The librarian asked me as she took the papers. “Yeah, it can be tiring sometimes. But still, it is my responsibility to do so.” I stated as I quickly took a glance at the nerd girl who seems to be busy reading a book. The librarian curiously took a peek to where I looked at, then smiled afterwards. “That's Kang Seulgi.” Mrs. Lee casually mentioned and I looked at her. “The nerd girl?” I asked, tone filled with curiosity and excitement. Mrs. Lee chuckled, “Believe me if I say this, but she isn't really a nerd. At least she doesn't act like one.” “She is not? But she's wasting her time here inside this library, probably reading some books. That's what a typical nerd would do.” “Nope,” Mrs. Lee grinned, “You don't know anything about her, Irene.” “Right, it was rude of me to assume.” “No biggie, I thought of her as a nerd when I first saw her too.” Mrs. Lee stated and I raised my brows. “What made you think she isn't, then?”  “Maybe if you would get to know her more, you would understand what I'm saying.” The librarian suggested and she clapped her hands. “I'm finally done! You should eat, Irene. Don't want our President to starve to death now, do we? Ciao!” With that, the librarian left, leaving me to process my thoughts. Get to know her more... Should I? I took a glance once more at the girl who seemed to fall into a deep slumber while attempting to read a book. I smiled at myself, It wo
