Forest Ties miss_v1ng 19740K 2023-11-02

The next few days passed in a flurry of hard work and a lot of meeting new people. Minho was introduced to almost everyone that lived in the castle as he helped cut and remove vines from the inside of the castle. They worked hard and had even started rebuilding parts of the castle by the third day. Minho had told Taemin what his blood could do to the vines and Taemin had nearly thrown a fit. He told Minho it was too dangerous and cutting them away would be better. So Minho didn’t say anything more about it and worked just as hard as everyone else. Taemin, Lihna, and Hyora had left after the first night to start repairing the damage outside the forest.  Lihna had to return after only a single day, and Taemin came back after two, before they became too weak outside the forest.  Hyora returned in the middle of the third day completely exhausted. But she said the town was not suspicious of the over growth do to an intricate fabrication of memories Hyora weaved and implanted into them.  She was taken to her room by Lihna, but not before coming to check on how both Minho and her brother were doing.  It was an effort that was recognized by everyone.  Taemin said the day they spent alone after Lihna had left, working together had really helped and he seemed optimistic about their relationship.  He was still nervous to have her around Minho, but Minho figured that would fade in time as he got to know Hyora more and more.  He was given a break on the fourth day free to spend the day with the prince.  Taemin showed him all over the castle and the most fun places to play when it was rainy.  He even helped Minho set up a little work station in his room on one of the desks.  Minho was given his own room but they both decided he would spend most of his time in Taemin's room anyways.  The little elf had done his best to contain his mess to one side of the room. Minho didn’t mind at all. He thought the accommodation was cute, even though he knew it wouldn’t last. He could live with a little mess as long as it was Taemin’s.  It was sunny and even though it had only been a few days the forest seemed to be buzzing with its normal song again. They decided to pack a lunch and go eat in the meadow.  Taemin was unable to climb trees like before so the walk over was pretty slow, and once they crossed the river Minho felt the pull back towards the heart of the forest. It was the first time he realized what Hyora said was going to be true. It was bearable but he knew he would have to go back after a few hours. Taemin bounced happily along the path chattering away. It was funny. These were the moments he had treasured so dearly because he knew they were few and far between, but now they were the movements he would look forward to every day. He had crossed the bridge between so many worlds to find his perfect happiness here.  Every thing leading up to this was worth it. Taemin had run a little farther ahead and turned around to hold his hand out to Minho. Nothing but a few feet separated them now, and Minho reached out his hand grasping Taemin's tightly, they would never be separated again, in this world or the next.     (A/N; Oh my, it’s over. As sad as I am that it had come to an end, it is a huge achievement. I made a picture of Hyolin as Hyora. Wouldn’t have even thought about making a picture for her if it weren’t for MachiShupp’s comment! ~Thank you! Thank you to all of you who subscribed, read and left comments, I am so glad a lot of you really enjoyed the story! I figured I would post a pretty wordy authors note here kind of explaining the inspiration of the story and maybe a little bit for those who are interested about the style. When I started it, I didn’t intend for it to turn in to a short story at all.  They were just short little passages (with my own characters) that were amusing to write whenever I was feeling a little creative, but once I decided to make an account here I changed the characters and started to come up with a story line.  I liked the idea of the two characters starting out so separately, like even how they were written were different, and by the end their stories intertwined so much there was no more separating them. I also wanted to make sure they characters had enough room to grow while getting closer, and hopefully that came across too. I really appreciate all the comments you guys left and wanted to thank every one for subscribing and I hope you’ll check out my other stories in the future. I will be posting one more bonus chapter including rated M material and probably change the over all rating of the story… Thank you again for reading until the end and if you liked this story please check out the others Rotten- ongoing zombie auThree Years Time- 2min memory lossAnd I will be posting a new story in a few weeks: Lost but Found- fantasy/kingdom)
