Forest Ties miss_v1ng 35420K 2023-11-02

Taemin laid in bed that night with his hand pressed to his lips.  The kiss had been everything Taemin had wanted it to be.  He had felt so close to Minho, the man and taken every one of his senses and left him spinning. All he knew for sure was that he wanted more.  As he fell asleep he worked out a plan to go see Minho himself, he couldn’t wait for Minho to always come to him, especially now that he was so sure of what he wanted.  He spent the better half of the morning gathering things for his little expedition. He packed a bag, and gathered things he would need later. He waited around the castle, for most of the guards and staff to retire before he made his way to the library.  He scanned the shelves for the spell book he had seen years ago.  He also grabbed a small rune stone used for cloaking.  He silently made his way around the castle and back towards his room, collecting various other things.  When he found everything he had needed it he scurried back to his chamber taking care to look for any sign that his sister was around before he started to set his plan in to motion.  He remembered reading this spell a while ago and if he was going to have a relationship he hoped for with Minho he might as well test it sooner than later.  He locked his door, and ran to his bed side table.  He took out a small knife, and cloth from the drawer and the glass of water from the top.  He sat in the middle of his room, and opened the book to the spell of cloning. He used the knife to make a small cut over his Lyf mark, careful not to press too deep, but let a bead of blood collect on the small blade. He covered the cut with the cloth and dipped the knife into the water and mixed it in.  Then he took the knife and cut a bead out of his hair.  He placed the stone on the floor, then dipped his finger into the blood water and copied the design from the book onto the floor.  It reminded Taemin of an eye.  After he finished his drawing he read the incantation.  When nothing happened right away Taemin felt his heart drop.  He simply stared at the little stone waiting for it to do what the book said it would, when it didn’t he took the knife and poked the little stone with the tip. Instantly, it began to glow and slowly spin in the center of the eye. Taemin closed his eyes and happily danced on the floor a minute before he grabbed the rune stone from his pocket.  He removed the cloth from his shoulder and rubbed some of his blood on the stone. He watched the rune glow, and knew he was undetectable for the time being.  Excitement flooded Taemin as he grabbed his bag and snuck out his window in to the forest.  He practically flew through the forest, and reached the edge much quicker than he excepted.  He didn’t want to get there too early because he knew Minho would work late and he would have to hide out for a long time, but that was a minor detail.  He dropped to the forest floor and grabbed his hood and mask from his bag.  He slipped the wooden mask over his face and pulled the hood over to make sure his ears were hidden.  He hoped he would just look like a traveler and no one would pay him any mind, if he came across any humans.  He swung his bag over his shoulder and left the forest. The walk up to Minho’s house pretty uneventful when he passed a child playing by the path, who kicked her ball at him and he kicked it back, he also saw a cat sitting on a hay bail and he really wanted to go pet it, but he kept focused and made it to Minho’s front door.  He grabbed the exterior handle and twisted, to his surprise it gave.  He had expected it to be locked like it had been the first time.  Taemin wondered if Minho had forgotten or if he had thought of Taemin and left it open. Either way, Taemin was thankful.  He closed the door behind him and let out a sigh of relief, he had made it undetected.  He did lock the door before fully entering the house.  He took of his cloak and dropped his bag on the kitchen table.  He a moment to fully looked around.  It had been dark when he was here before and he was so nervous he didn’t take the chance.  The house smelled like Minho, it was warm and encompassing.  Taemin walked into the main room and saw the blanket he had placed on Minho back on its chair.  The room was neatly kept, with only a few pieces of furniture and some books on a small shelf.  Along one wall was a work bench with tools neatly put away and strips of leather waiting to be braided.  Taemin made his way back to the kitchen. It was just as neatly put together as Minho’s work station.  Bowls were carefully stacked next to cups and plates, small pieces of food were wrapped up on he counter, and nothing was dirty.  Minho was a clean freak and Taemin loved it.  He skipped into Minho’s room.  The bed was carefully made and clothes put away.  Taemin couldn’t imagine what Minho would say about his room.  He had trinkets and cloths thrown all of the room at all times.  Taemin noticed the flower crowns carefully pinned up on the wall above Minho’s bed.  On the bed side table, there was the small bowl Taemin had returned and inside it were all the gifts he had left for Minho.  It made Taemin feel all the more confident in his decision to come here. He made his way back out to the kitchen and lit the stove.  The sun would set soon, and that meant hopefully Minho would come home, Taemin wanted to have dinner ready before he did.  He didn’t cook at the castle but Hyora had enjoyed it, so she had taught him a few things when they were younger.  He made quick work out of his gathered ingredients, making egg dough and stuffing individual pressed noodle with herbs and spices.  He used some of Minho’s pans to cook the noodles and make a sauce.  It was getting dark when Taemin finished washing the dishes and setting out the plates on the small table.  He started to get nervous, thinking Minho might be mad about the unexpected visit.  Just as he began to contemplate leaving he heard keys in the door.  Since he wasn’t in the forest he couldn’t sense Minho approaching and it took him by surprise.  He ducked behind the counter.  He heard Minho come in and drop his stuff.  “Hello, who’s there?” There was concern in his voice.  Taemin kicked himself for hiding.  He had pictured himself standing in the door way waiting for his beloved, but instead he was hiding in the kitchen.  “I know you are there, so just show yourself.” Taemin shut his eyes, he heard anger, and a little fear in Minho’s voice now.  “Minho? Minho, it’s me,” he called.  There was no response right away. Taemin stayed behind the counter and waited to see if he was in trouble.  “Taemin?” The little elf poked his head slowly, up above the counter still half hidden, he gave a small wave. The most beautiful smile broke across the man’s face.  He ran over to Taemin and scooped him up in his arms and swung him around in small kitchen.  Taemin giggled in response. He laced his arms around Minho’s neck and touched his hair and wrapped his legs around Minho’s waist.  “How did you get here?” “I walked, silly,” Taemin rubbed their noses together. “I know, but, but, it’s dangerous, what about Lyf, are you okay?” Minho’s stuttering made Taemin smile even more. “Yes, yes I am okay, calm down, it’s all okay. As long as you want me here?”  “What of course I do.” “Good because I made you dinner.” Taemin wiggled out of Minho’s arms and walked over to the table and showed off what he had made with his arms out.   Minho looked lovingly at the gesture, “Taemin, thank you.” “Are you hungry?”  “I’m starving, but before we eat, I’m going to wash up, I promise to be fast.” Minho almost ran from the room and Taemin took the time to set the table he even lit the candle in the center.  Minho didn’t keep the elf waiting and even returned with a small bottle of wine.  They enjoyed a pleasant dinner, full of laughter and playful small talk.  After dinner Minho put a plate of cookies out and Taemin happily ate most of them.  They cleaned up together bantering and making more of a mess then they were cleaning.  When they had everything put away Minho lead Taemin over to the small couch and plopped down, he covered them with the blanket from the chair.  “Tell me you can stay longer,” Minho pulled Taemin close and wrapped an arm around his small shoulders.  Taemin looked up at Minho making his eyes impossibly big.  This was the prime opportunity to show Minho just why he had come here, “I’m yours for the whole night,” he whispered and pressed a small kiss to the man’s warm lips.    (A/N; Hello~ cute chapter update!
