She tries to calm her nerves but she can't hide her excitement. Today has been all about big changes and she needs to take a few minutes to realize how huge this step has been.She had packed all her things inside a suitcase and she has told her flatmates that she wouldn't be back in a while. After the small talk and empty but polite wishes for the best, Joy left the place where she has been living for two years, leaving the keys inside the house. She knew by then that there was no going back.With her suitcase ready, she waited for the car T5 Entertainment sent for her. Bowing to the driver as she got into it, she couldn't help but shiver at the sight of the person who was going to be her manager. He told him a few things that she couldn't process immediately, but she nodded and smiled at everything, making sure to remember once she was out.When they arrived at the building, she was met by fans who were taking pictures. They were slightly disappointed when they saw her, but then someone said something that gives Joy that tingling feeling she has been looking for so long:"It must be a new trainee for that group T5 is debuting this year!" So after that, she heard some clicking cameras as she made the way inside the building. She didn't read the contract much, since her manager was already making a summary of it. She signed it with excitement and she couldn't wait to meet the other members of her group.That's when she was told that they were filming a reality show for the group's debut. The name of the group, for now, was 'Timeless'. Joy loved the name when she heard it. So, the very first reaction of the group when they met Joy was going to be filmed. After being told about that, the camera crew came in and they faked the sign of the contract again, just for the cameras.Joy tried to look as charming as she could, but she couldn't deny that she was nervous and it was getting hard to keep a smile on her face all the time.When they left the building, the ride to the building where the dorm was situated was made in silence. Joy could feel the cameras on her and she tried to look natural, but she couldn't hide that she was nervous and she wanted to make a good impression.A staff member opened the door for her and she bowed. The camera crew followed her and the manager as they went up to the apartment.She held her breath as they took the elevator. She could picture how it would be edited and she wondered if she was making a good impression for the cameras, too. She was getting too self-conscious.The manager opens the door and she saw four girls standing in a line waiting for their arrival. They bowed politely and it was awkward at first, but then the manager eased the mood and they started to laugh.Joy's guts were telling her that something was off. She probably guessed that they were pissed because she wouldn't be a trainee as long as the others had been. However, none of that was Joy's fault.I will get on their good side, I know. They introduced themselves and Joy was surprised that she wasn't going to be the oldest member and she was going to be the maknae. Tiffany Hwang introduced herself as the leader of Timeless, the oldest of the group. Joy noticed that she talked caringly about the other girls. Joy had a gut feeling that Tiffany was going to be polite to her, but probably not care about her as much as she did about the other girls.I will make her care about me. I will make her know that she can trust me.Then another named girl named Amber Liu introduced herself. Joy could tell that the tomboy was nice and she realized that she had seen her before in some rap competition.I better watch out for this one if I want to keep up with her skills.Then she was introduced to Choi Sooyoung, who shared the name with her. That was why it was convenient that Joy was using a nickname. They even chuckled and joked about how it could be awkward when someone called for one of them and the two of them would turn around. She was relieved to know that she was making a good impression when the youngest of them ran into her arms, joking about not being the youngest anymore. Sulli was cheerful and bright and that was something that comforted her.Joy had expected to jump into an idol group who was full of young, shy, awkward girls and she would be the oldest of them, but she kind of felt relieved that they were coming up with this concept of 'Timeless', with a more mature theme and cool songs. She couldn't wait to rehearse with them and get to know them better.After the introductions, Sulli showed her the room they would share. The apartment only had three rooms and it didn't have a living room: just the kitchen and two bathrooms. She would have loved to have a living room so they could have some space to spend time together, but she told herself that once they debuted, they probably wouldn't have much time to spend together.When the cameras were gone after they put on their pyjamas and pretended they were going to sleep, even though it was still bright outside, Tiffany and Sooyoung went to their shared room after kindly welcoming Joy. Joy decided to have a shower and get ready for the rest of the day.Once she was done, Joy went to her shared room and found Sulli laying on the top bunk.  "Hey there." Joy greeted her more casually. Sulli smiled brightly at her and Joy felt like she could get used to watching her smile. "Hey, Joy" Sulli threw the phone to the side. "Do you have any plans for the afternoon?""Not yet. Why?""We could hang out and get to know each other better." The way Sulli smiled was a reason enough to make her think it was a good idea."I would love that." Now they are in that cafeteria, Onceland. Joy smiles at the memory of kissing Seulgi at this very same table where she's now sitting with Sulli. Sulli has left to the restroom and Joy has taken this chance to take a breath and rub her forehead, trying to get used to the feeling that the wait is finally over. I can't wait to tell Seulgi about this.As she opens her Kakaotalk, she finds texts from both Seulgi and Yerim. She smiles at the sight of the last message Seulgi has sent her.I'm so proud of you <3 - Seulgi.She takes a few minutes to update Seulgi about the meeting and when she's about to text Yerim, Sulli comes back."Sorry for taking so long. I had to check my make up" Sulli smiles so brightly that Joy gets the feeling that she can get used to seeing her smile this way forever."Hey, don't worry. I'm sorry that I'm on the phone, I have to text a friend.""No worries," Sulli gives her a wink and gets the menu from the table to check the ice coffees. I want to hug you so much right now!!! - Yerim.Joy can't help but grin at the text, getting excited at the idea of celebrating it with both her girlfriend and her friend.I know!!! I want to hug you too!! - Joy.Do you want to come over??? So I can hug you??? - YerimShe looks up at Sulli and she doubts herself. Today is the first day she's going to spend with her group. She should stay with them to bond, but she also wants to see her friends."Penny for your thoughts?" Sulli asks, tilting her head to the side and giving her the puppy eyes."I didn't know my thoughts were so cheap" Joy jokes, earning a chuckle from hew new friend. "I was just thinking about meeting some friends today, but I didn't want to-""Nonsense!" Sulli reads her mind. "None of us is going to mind. I visit my friends all the time and Tiffany and Sooyoung do the same, too. Well, the problem could be..." Sulli stops herself when she sees that the waitress is approaching them. She looks up at her with a grin. "What can I get you, girls?" The girl with the tablet asks. Sulli points at her menu."I think I will get this one. I don't know how it's read" Sulli admits shyly. The waitress chuckles with a nod and turns to face Joy. "I will get an Americano. Thank you," Joy looks for her nametag and her face lightens when she realizes who she is. "Nayeon? Aren't you Yerim's friend?""Yerim? Kim Yerim? Yeah, that's me" She gives her a toothy grin that reminds Joy of her younger friend. "Have you seen her today? She got me worried over the phone last night." "What? No, I haven't seen her. Is she okay?" Joy gives her a confused look, suddenly not sure if they are talking about the same Yerim."Yeah, I guess she will be. It's just that, you know, that fat-ass crush she has on that girl from the ice cream store" Nayeon rolls her eyes and gives out a dreamy sigh. Joy stands frozen on the spot, which goes unnoticed for the rambling waitress. "But you know, anyway, she'll get over it. I'll get your order. Jeongyeon! Americano and Frappuccino!"With that, she leaves the two alone, turning her back on Joy who is shocked. How could I not notice?She remembers now all the times Yerim left whatever she was doing to meet her and get her away from her problems. She remembers the night they spent together at the beach and the way she smiled at her, the way she looked at her now more clear in her mind.She looked at her like she was the most beautiful girl she had ever seen."Hey, are you okay?" Sulli waves her hand in front of Joy's eyes. Joy gulps and gets back to the present moment, to the conversation she was having with Sulli before the waitress came in. "Is it because your friend likes a girl?"Joy shakes her head. "It's not that. It's because I'm the girl from the ice cream store." Sulli's mouth falls open. "Oh.""Oh indeed." Joy nods, bringing both her hands to her face. She rubs her forehead and then she goes for her eyes. "Shit" Sulli bits on her bottom lip, reaching out to place her hand on top of her new friend's forearm."Shit, indeed" Joy lets out a sigh. "This is going to be so awkward. I'm already dating her best friend." Joy realizes that she has just told the thing she was going to keep secret from the members and covers her mouth. Sulli squeezes her arm and she gives her a grin."Hey, don't worry. Your secret is safe with me" Sulli reassures her, giving her a nod. "And you know, T5 is quite understanding about dating. Amber is dating someone as well." Sulli presses her lips together in a straight line. "Well, various someones.""She's cheating?""Nope. She's..." Sulli stops herself when she sees that another waitress is reaching them. "Americano and a Frappuccino. Yay. Have fun and share it in your social network" The girl says in a monotonous voice. Sulli chuckles and gives her a thankful bow."Thank you, Jeongyeon" Joy says with a small smile, watching her leave. Joy takes a long sip of her drink, letting out a long sigh at the taste. "You were telling me about Amber.""Yeah, actually... there are a lot of things you should know about Amber." Sulli stretches her back, making a quiet cracking sound. She brings both her hands to the back of her neck, already feeling the tension building there for the conversation they are going to have."You better know that Amber is not amused about having a new member in the group and... well, she's not amused about having members at all. The company promised her that she would be a soloist but since her debut single didn't work out she ended up in this group. And well... She's also unhappy that she's not the leader. And she's not going to be amused about you being a rapper..."The way Sulli expresses herself makes Joy feel awkward. "Is she amused about something?""Oh, she is. Believe me, she is" Sulli bitterly mutters as she plays with the straw of her drink. "I think you better know that she's in a complicated relationship. She's with two girls... at the same time. It's called polyamory, it seems."Joy has to hold the urge to roll her eyes. So being polyamorous is trendy now?"I know about polyamory myself" Joy confesses. Sulli's eyes widen at her words. "You do?""My..." Joy feels warm at the thought of calling Seulgi her girlfriend and a smile appears on her lips. "My girlfriend Seulgi is in a polyamorous relationship."Sulli's eyes widen even more and she now looks like a cartoon character. However, once the initial shock is gone, Sulli breaks into a chuckle and smiles at Joy."My, my. That's a lot of information to process" Sulli covers her mouth with the back of her hand as she laughs. The sound of it grows contagious and Joy is soon laughing as well. "Is there anything else you want to tell me?""I think that's all. Oh, well, I also sleep with a teddy bear" Joy cackles as she rubs her cheek."That's fine! I sleep with tones of plushies, don't worry" Sulli pats her shoulder and grabs the drink with both her hands, taking the straw between her lips. She takes a long sip of her drink and leaves it back on the table. "What I mean is that I'm glad we've told each other this. It feels like I'm closer to you. We've got each other's backs." "I feel the same way" Joy smiles. "Though it wouldn't hurt to know one of your secrets, since you know mine."Sulli gives it a thought and wonders what secret she could tell her. She dramatically leans her cheek on her hand. "I'm bisexual." Joy gives her a knowing look and holds her hand up for a high five. "Yay for bisexuality!" Sulli laughs as she high-fives her, bringing a finger to her lips. "Sssh! Not so loud" she jokes, knowing that it's just the two of them in the cafeteria at that time in the afternoon. "And well, you better know that I had a 'fat-ass crush' on Sooyoung for a year during our early trainee days." Joy chuckles at the way she's quoted the same words Nayeon had used for describing Yerim's crush. She tries to stop herself into thinking more about that, trying to focus her attention on the conversation with Sulli."That sucks. But you got over her, right?""Definitely!" Sulli huffs, fanning herself with her hand. "And right now, I want to be out of any relationship drama. I want to focus on getting better at singing and dancing for our debut.""I will toast to that.""With coffee?""The gesture is what matters, right?" Joy chuckles as she raises her glass of Americano. Sulli nods her head with a grin. "I think we are going to get along really well."Joy looks at her new friend in the eyes and can't hold back her smile."I feel the same way, Sulli."After bidding farewell to Sulli back in their dorm, she takes a taxi to Seulgi and Yerim's place. As she gazes through the window, she can't help but go back and forth through Nayeon's words. Yerim has a crush on me.She doesn't even know how that makes her feel. She's flattered because it's nice that someone likes her in that way and of course it's nice that this someone is no other than Yerim, who is gentle and caring. She knows that her friend is girlfriend material and she would do her best to make her happy. Yerim is the kind of girl who would set herself on fire just to keep me warm.However, she knows she doesn't have to worry about a thing. Yerim isn't exactly the best person at talking about her feelings. She will probably just swallow them and pretend she doesn't have feelings for her. She won't pressure Joy into anything and she knows by sure that Nayeon and her other friends are the only ones who know about this.I can't picture Yerim telling Seulgi about this, either. She shakes her head silently to herself. She can picture her telling Seungwan, though.I think she's friends with her for a long time. I just hope she doesn't get her nose in this.Joy can't help but feel uneasy about just the mention of their names: Joohyun and Seungwan. Her girlfriend's girlfriends. How weird is that?She knows that it's just a matter of time but it's too early yet to get used to this awkward feeling she gets when she thinks about her girlfriend with another girl. However, she's still glad that she took the step. Calling Seulgi her girlfriend was enough to make her blush. The taxi stops in front of the apartment block and Joy waves at the driver before taking her phone out. She leaves a nice review even though the driver hasn't talked at all and pays for the ride. She sighs, knowing that she has to face Yerim with this new information in her mind. She knows Yerim is going to act the same she always does, but she now knows that there's something else to it.She bumps into an old woman on the way to the door and she bows at her as she holds the door open for her. Joy gives her a polite smile and goes to the elevator. She has a lot of things going through her mind, feeling like a cloud is standing on top of her head.That cloud vanishes when the doors open and someone jumps into her arms, wrapping her legs around her hips. Joy starts to laugh in confusion, barely taking in that Yerim is now all wrapped around her body.And it feels right.She can't even listen to what Yerim is saying, her friend talking so fast that she can't tell what words are coming out of her. She's so happy.Joy laughs as she wraps her arms around Yerim, spinning them around.Yerim lets go with a chortle. "My idol!" Yerim almost loses her balance, getting a hold of Joy's shoulder to steady herself. "My friend is an idol!" "Sssh. Not so loud" A third voice hisses. Both of them look up at Seulgi, standing by the doorframe. "We wouldn't want her to be followed by weirdos, right?""I'm already with two weirdos" Joy jokes, pointing at the two of them. "Thank you for this reception, girls. Let's get inside, though"Still laughing, the three of them enter the apartment. Seulgi closes the door and pulls on Joy's wrist, pulling her closer. "I wouldn't want anyone to see you like this.""Like what?" Joy frowns, not sure of what Seulgi means.She's startled when Seulgi closes the distance between them in a searing kiss, her hand placed on her jawline as she deepens it. Her heart begins to beat faster, her eyes closed as she focuses fully on the kiss.But Yerim?She feels her hands sweating as she grips on Seulgi's loose t-shirt. Is she watching this?She lets go of the uneasy feeling when she pulls away and realizes that Yerim is somewhere else in the apartment, probably in the kitchen, judging by the sound of light music from her friend's usual playlists."Are you guys done kissing?" Yerim asks from the other side of the house, which makes Seulgi laugh. Joy can't manage to laugh, blushing at those words."We'll keep it PG-13, don't worry" Seulgi jokes as she puts her arms around Joy, standing close to her so she can whisper to her ear. "What I meant is that I don't want anyone to see us kissing. It's our privacy and I don't want you to be in trouble.""We talked about this" Joy leaves a small kiss on her cheek. She sighs with a nod. "I know you want to protect me, but I'm careful as well. I don't want you to worry, okay? I will worry about it for the two of us."Seulgi nods, sighing with relief before taking Joy's hand and kissing its back. The two of them walk to the kitchen to join Yerim. "So what are you up to in here?" Joy asks as soon as she enters the kitchen. Yerim shrugs as she takes a dish from the oven. "I made dinner for you two. I guessed you wanted to celebrate it, you know, on your own.""You are not staying?" Seulgi's eyes widen. "But you have been cooking all afternoon! I thought you were having dinner with us." Yerim huffs and rolls her eyes. "I don't want to be the third wheel, Seulgi." "Nonsense! You would never be that, right Joy?" Joy tenses at the way Seulgi looks at her, expecting her answer. She looks at Yerim and the youngest is trying to look somewhere else, eyes focused on a chair. Joy decides to let the girl go. She's not going to feel comfortable.I mean, I wouldn't feel comfortable if I was in Yerim's situation.Joy shrugs. "Let the girl do whatever she's cool with, Seulgi." She turns her attention back to Yerim. "Thanks for cooking this for us. You didn't have to.""Oh, girl" Yerim chuckles. "I know you don't know Seulgi yet, but cooking is not one of her best qualities. No offence.""I'm not offended" Seulgi admits with a grin. "Thank you for this.""Don't worry." Yerim looks down at her hands, holding them together. "Just have fun, okay? And well, congratulations again, Joy."Before she leaves, Joy pulls on her wrist and pulls her into her arms. She wraps her arms around her tightly, giving her a bone-crushing hug. "I mean it" Joy whispers, not sure of what she means herself. "Thank you, Yerim."Yerim pats her back, wanting to end the hug as soon as possible. As she pulls away, she gives her a small smile. She takes her phone from the counter and waves at the two of them shyly."Have fun."And with that, she's gone. Joy looks at the doorframe for a few seconds, taking in all the small gestures of discomfort in Yerim.How could I not see it?"And with that, we're done with today's stream. Greetings from Taipei" the voice automatically reads, which makes Seungwan smile fondly, laughing at how the automatic voice bugged at the multiple 'yyyy' the user had put after her name."Well, son-wendy-lover, thank you for your bits! About the cover, I don't know. I would love to make a better version of that song since it was the one most of you know me for, but well, you know me. I guess I'm too perfectionist" Seungwan chuckles, giving it a shrug. "Thank you a lot and this time it's the last one. Goodbye!" She waves her hand at the camera one last time before going to cover it with her hand, her other hand expertly playing the outro of her stream. She takes her headphones off and stretches her neck, chuckling at the last comments on the chatbox. She clicks the last button and the streaming is off. She smiles at the sight of their fans greeting one another. It has taken her some time, but she has created a nice community between her fans. Two arms wrap around her shoulders and she looks up at Joohyun, who has been silently watching her stream from the side of her bedroom. Seungwan has loved having her here, knowing that for once, she wasn't alone when she was doing her streams on Twitch. Seungwan brings her hands up and cups her face."Thank you for being here. How did you find it?" "I loved it. You're really charming, you know. No wonder why you have so many viewers.""Really? I was shy about showing you" Seungwan admits out loud, feeling herself blushing. "I don't know, you're so mature that I didn't want you to think this was childish.""What? No. This is more than fine to me. Sure, it's probably something I wouldn't do, but that doesn't mean streaming is childish" Joohyun reassures her, leaving a kiss on her forehead. "You have nothing to worry about, okay? I like this Wendy, too."Seungwan smiles at the way she mentions her English name, which she uses for all her social networks and all her professional matters."You should try it, though. You would have a really popular youtube channel if you started uploading your covers. Or maybe you could start streaming and play relaxing piano for people who are studying.""Honey, streaming is not my thing" Joohyun chuckles, covering Seungwan's face with kisses."Never say never. Seungwan asks, turning around on her swivel chair, her gamer chair her parents have sent her from Canada. "Yeah. He remembered that he has a dentist appointment" Joohyun rolls her eyes, giving out a huff. "What are your plans now?""I'm going to send the video of the live stream to my editor for my secondary channel on Youtube so she can do a 'best moments' video" Seungwan mutters, turning her attention back to the computer. Joohyun looks at what she's doing, not sure if she understands what she's doing. "I was going to start planning next month. Why do you ask?""Just wondering if we could spend some time together."Seungwan smiles at the sight of Joohyun being slightly shy. It's so rare that she wants to capture this moment so she can keep the memory of it forever. She reaches out and places her hand under Joohyun's chin. "How can I say no to this face?"She makes sure to treasure the expression of Joohyun, whose eyes widen before giving her a big, charming smile. She leans forward and places a chaste kiss on her lips, leaning her head on her chest.When she came back to Seoul, she never expected she would be feeling this happy, so filled with love.Seulgi can't hold back her smile as she's laying on her bed with Joy. It has happened casually. Joy was talking about an American artist she loves and Seulgi happened to have a vinyl record of that artist: Nina Simone. She placed the vinyl on the turntable and they sat down on the bed to listen to it. Sitting slowly became laying on the bed and now she's cuddling with Joy, the girl excitedly telling her about her schedule for her next week."That's wonderful, honey" Seulgi nuzzles her shoulder affectionately, leaving a small kiss on it. She grins at the way Joy smiles at her, leaning her head on her shoulder. "It's so exciting that you'll be starting to train for your debut song.""I know, right? I can't wait to hear it" Joy claps her hands, unable to hold back her excitement. Seulgi suddenly pouts."I guess we won't be seeing each other much next week."Joy grins as she leans in for a kiss. When she pulls away, she stands close, their foreheads touching. "I know, but I'll try to come here as soon as I can.""I'll keep the door open for you" Seulgi whispers, nuzzling her nose on an Eskimo kiss. Joy bits on her lower lip, giving her a shy look."Besides, you have the other two to keep you occupied."Those words make Seulgi sit up instantly and look at Joy with worry. "Joy, you know that you matter to me anyway, right?"At that, Joy can only nod shyly. "I know...""I'm with them, yeah, but I'm also with you. I want to be with you." The previous song ends just in time to fill the silence with Joy's words. "I want to be with you, too. Sorry. I didn't mean it in a bad way. I just need some time to get used to... you know, this."That's when Nina Simone's voice starts to sound again and Joy instantly recognizes the song immediately. A slow smirk grows on her face and there's something that crosses her mind. "Besides, as a couple... I think there are things we should try. You know, so I can get used to this."The way she purred those words makes Seulgi gulp in anticipation. She watches as Joy sits up to straddle her hips, hands placed on her shoulders. With a small push, Seulgi is laying on the bed again with Joy standing on top of her. She hears the instrumental and realizes that the song playing is 'Feeling Good', a bigtime classic. She holds her breath when Joy grips on her wrists and brings them up, making them stay at each side of her head."Well..." Seulgi mutters, her voice cracking in her throat. "I guess we should do what you have in mind. So you can get used to this."Joy giggles at the effect she has on Seulgi, pride growing on her chest. She leans down and smashes her lips against hers. Seulgi knows that she could get used to this. The way she kisses her passionately, so differently than the kisses they had in yesterday's date.Maybe this is too soon...*That thought disappears from her mind when she feels Joy's lips going down to her jawline, then to her neck, teeth grazing against her skin. She can't hold back a moan, that makes Joy smirk against her skin. "I got such an effect on you, don't I?" Maybe it's the music or the way Joy says that, but Seulgi feels goosebumps all over her body. Their hands start to roam each other's bodies as they kiss, Seulgi's hands finding their way under Joy's loose shirt. Now it's Joy who moans at the touch, breaking the kiss and leaning her forehead on Seulgi's. "We could be wearing fewer clothes, don't you think?"She teasingly says, trying to make sure Seulgi wants the same thing she wants. She's reassured when Seulgi holds on her waist and makes them sit up. Seulgi takes off her own t-shirt and Joy gasps at the sight that Seulgi wasn't wearing a bra.Seulgi blushes at the way Joy gawks at her chest. "Your turn."Joy smirks again, giving Seulgi a teasing push to make her lay on the bed again. Straddling her hips, she makes sure that Seulgi is watching her as she takes off her shirt, unbuttoning each of the buttons of her shirt to slowly reveal her bra to Seulgi.Now it's Seulgi's turn to gulp. She can't help but bring her hands up and cup her clothed breasts. She sits up again so she can kiss her, Joy's hands easily finding Seulgi's chest as well.
