A Realization (1/1)

Hanbin awoke to the sounds of the TV. They had both fell asleep last night in the living room and didn't get a chance to turn it off. He dazily got up and found the remote control while rubbing his eyes and doing a yawn before looking at Ara on the couch. The blanket must have fell while she was sleeping because it was on the floor while Ara was curled up into a ball from the cold."Aish, I go through all that trouble last night to keep you warm and you're still going to get sick," he sighed under his breath. He picked the blanket back up and placed it on top of her. He looked at the clock and it was only 8:22AM. Normally Hanbin slept past 10AM on weekends, so this was new to him. He thought about what to do before finally deciding to go grab some breakfast for him and Ara outside. He grabbed his jacket and keys to the house and stepped outside, making sure to lock the door and then made his way to a bakery down their street. It specialized in pastry bread, one of Ara's favourite treats. He bought two of the red bean buns and plenty of egg tarts and quickly made his way back to the house and found Ara in the kitchen."Don't eat anything!" He yelled, "I bought breakfast.""Hanbin, I already told you we have food in the house, why do you keep going out to buy more?!" Ara scolded looking at the plastic bag Hanbin had in his hand."It's your favorite," he told her, placing the bag on her kitchen counter.Ara walked over and peeped inside the bag, which made a huge smile appear on her face. "Alright, I forgive you."She opened the plastic packaging with the red bean bun inside and munched on it, while Hanbin ate one of the sweet potatos he bought last night."So what's the plan for today?" He asked leaning against the counter."Bobby actually texted me asking if we wanted to go watch a movie with him and the others," Ara brought up. Hanbin was in the middle of taking a bite of his sweet potato when he felt his appetite go disappear."What did you say?""I didn't respond yet, I wanted to ask you first," Ara said delicately. She could tell that Hanbin was a little irritated when she brought Bobby up last night, she didn't know why yet but she thought it best to be sensitive around Hanbin when it came to Bobby."Yeah let's go," Hanbin responded, taking a big bite of the sweet potato. He felt better knowing that all his buddies would be there. Ara pulled out her phone and texted Bobby back. Hanbin stared at her as he heard her phone buzz meaning that Bobby texted back. She began to smile and chuckle a little and typed on her phone some more. He scoffed as he threw the rest of his sweet potato in the garbage and headed into the living room."What's up with you?" Ara finally mustered to say."What do you mean?" Hanbin asked trying to act oblivious."When I mentioned Bobby yesterday you seemed upset, and now that I mentioned him today you're upset again," she tried to explain. Hanbin didn't know what to say because he himself didn't even know what he was feeling. The frustration that built up in him everytime she mentioned Bobby was enough to drive him crazy."I don't know what you're talking about," he said trying to deflect her observations."If you don't want to go tonight just tell me," Ara said."I don't care.""See! You're mad again!" Ara pointed out."I'm not mad, I'm just...uninterested," he muttered walking around the living room. "Okay..." she murmured. She knew this was probably going to be the best response she would get from him. He was always so hard headed. For some reason Hanbin found it hard to stay still, so he picked up his jacket and put on his shoes. "Where are you going?" Ara asked as she saw him getting ready."I'm just going to head out for a bit, " he said walking out the door. Hanbin had a terrible habit of not dealing with confrontation when it was something to do with Ara. If it was anyone else he would be able to talk to them just fine, but he never wanted to be angry at her so instead he always just tried to walk away. Ara hated this about him since she could never really understand what was on his mind.Hanbin walked outside and let out a huge sigh. He didn't really know where else to go, he just knew he didn't want to be around Ara at the moment. So he went to the place that he usually went to in times like these, Jinhwan's house."What are you doing here?" Jinhwan asked as he opened his front door."Just bored," Hanbin replied, already walking into his house."What happened with Ara?""Eh? Why do you assume it's about her?""Aren't you supposed to be with her all weekend or something? Plus you usually come to my house when you have problems with her," Jinhwan said returning to his kitchen and finishing his bowl of cereal.Hanbin chuckled as his friend was spot on with his observation. "Am I really that obvious?""Yes," Jinhwan replied. "Now tell me what happened."Hanbin was a little conflicted. He didn't know whether it was in his place to tell Jinhwan that Ara was beginning to like Bobby but he couldn't help it. "Okay, but you have to promise you'll keep this between us, okay?"Jinhwan chuckled at Hanbin's request. "Why are you acting so secretive like we're in elementary school? Just tell me what it is.""I'm serious Jinhwan, Ara might seriously kill me.""Okay, okay.""Ara told me she might like Bobby.""What's the problem
