Jessica's POV "Why are they looking for you?" I asked.Even Taeyeon looked puzzled. Yoona hesitated, but finally relented."I was a natural learner. Everything they tossed at me, I was quickly able to do and adapt, even taking it a step further. But even I knew early on that I would be a threat to those. So I eventually buried my records as deep as I could, even managing to wipe some, but not all" She said."You're a Heaven Wielder" Ryner guessed.We gaped. We had all heard the stories and myths surrounding it. But never thought they were real. Heaven Wielders were serious fighters. Just one of them could take down a country. It was said they could manipulate almost anything, but there were so few and kept hidden. Yoona nodded."I was very young when the group approached me. I trained under them as well""That would explain the mysterious presence I kept feeling around you" Ryner said."Besides my expeditions, I have been searching for them as well. Heaven Wielders can sense each other. But so far, I have yet to find anything or anyone""How many are there?" Yuri asked."I have only met two others during my training, Roha and Sora. They were the ones that trained me. I have tried using discreet resources to find them and warn them" Yoona said."Warn them?" Taengoo asked."My guess the group that took over the Academy is searching for all Heaven Wielders. For what purpose, I do not yet know" She replied."Unnies, I think I know why" Seohyun said.We looked at her and she had drawn something on a board."I overheard them talking about it. Something about unlocking a black gate"Yoona looked immediately concerned."We cannot let them do that" She fiercely said."Yoong?" Taeyeon looked startled."I only had what was told of me, but apparently unlocking that gate will unleash hell onto this world. Millions would die. A kind of apocalypse. Heaven Wielders guard that and protect to make sure it never opens. It requires five Heaven Wielders, however, to open""Are there even that many?" Yuri asked, anxiously."I don't know. Besides me, Roha, and Sora, I don't know of anyone else. They tend to hide very well""Have you tried going back to where you trained?" I asked. Yoona's POV I nodded slowly."I searched there. But that place no longer exists. It's like it was never there" I said."You said it takes five Heaven Wielders, Yoong...how exactly?" Taeyeon asked.I smiled thinly. She was always sharp."You sacrifice them. The soul spirits activates the gate and it opens. Once unleashed, I don't know how you can close it again, if it's possible at all once it reaches that stage" I said.They were stunned."Okay, we can't let them get you then!" Taengoo firmly said."Being expelled from the Academy might have been a blessing in disguise. It allowed for me to hide deeper""So have you been trying to find them since then?" Yuri asked."Here and then. But now the search has gotten even more urgent with this group looking for them" I said."But what if them hiding is good? I mean, being separate" Sica pointed out."I was told that in case this scenario came up, it would be best to destroy the gate. But I need 5 Heaven Wielders as well" I said."But why not just destroy the gate sooner?" Sica asked."The gate is also what keeps everything in balance. Destroying it is the last option. It's said to be a portal to somewhere, but it is also the only thing that is keeping the balance between the two worlds""A double edged sword" Yuri said and I nodded."Unfortunately, I was never told where the gate was. If it even exists in this dimension""Maybe if we try to track where it is? I mean, word has to have gotten out right? About our Academy?" Taengoo asked."I have tried everything so far. Maybe I can't sense anything because are too far away from it. I don't know" I said."Then let's travel until we hear something or you feel something""Not until Sooyoung is better. But meanwhile, we can prepare then. Keep on your training. I will ask Sunny to do the same and have her prepare what she can" I said and everyone agreed, looking more determined than ever.Finding Roha and Sora was my top priority. They would have some answers. But where to start? It's not like we had a phone where we could dial each other up and meet. I decided to go see Sunny and see how Sooyoung was doing.I entered her workspace and saw her frowning."Something wrong?" I asked. Sunny's POV I looked up as she entered. I could tell she had some things on her mind but decided not to push."I think whatever they gave her was some kind of paralysis potion. But I can't find anything. I've tried everything possible, but no response. It's like she is alive but at the same time..." I was frustrated.She frowned and walked over to her. She put her hand over Sooyoung and closed her eyes. It was like she was...scanning her? "She's feeling her body"I jumped, not seeing Ryner come in."One of the traits that a Heaven Wielder has is the abillity to examin a person's body. It's a basic skill"He explained everything that I had missed. I was shocked and no doubt the others were."Have you....ever contracted with one of them?" I asked.He laid down and tilted his head."I have with many powerful people, some not with good intentions. But no, never a Heaven Wielder. Never came into contact either. Even I have limited knowledge on their true potential and skills. But I can tell Yoona definitely is the strongest of the people I have contracted with" He replied, watching her."Sunny"I hurried towards her."There's some kind of blockage in her nervous system. Can you do a deeper scan?"I pulled a machine over and specified it to concentrate on just that. I was amazed at what I found. There was indeed some kind of blockage. But what it was, I couldn't tell. But now I had an area to focus and specialize a treatment."I'll leave you to it then""Yoona?"She turned slightly towards me."Are you okay?" I asked.She smiled weakly before nodding and leaving. Ryder padded after her. I was worried, but had to focus on Sooyoung. Taeyeon's POV I was in a daze after learning new things about Yoong. She had never told me. I mean, I knew she was powerful...but a Heaven Wielder?"Taengoo" Sica nudged me.I blinked. I had lost concentration during my training."You're worried. Your scrunched up face tells me that"I furrowed my eyebrows. She could read me easily."I just...never knew about Yoong. She knows practically everything about me but..." I was sad."Oh Taengoo, I don't think she meant to hide it from you. Perhaps she needed to keep it a secret" She hugged me."I know...but still..." I buried my face into her shoulder.I bet Yuri was shocked too, but she was just over there, doing her training. I decided to go look for Yoong, and found her in a room, with books surrounding her."Yoong?"She didn't seem to hear me at first, and I slowly went up to her. Turns out she was sleeping while sitting. I laid her down and got a blanket and pillow for her. I know you had your reasons to keep it a secret, and I understand. But how many other things are you keeping? Instead of feeling betrayed, I felt more helpless. She had this burden to keep and after knowing some things...I shook my head and decided to do some research on Heaven Wielders. Maybe if I understood more about them, I could help her more, even if it was just a little.
