Please and Thank You (1/2)
Truth was, Cho Kyuhyun always had lots of darling fans.
No, he wasn’t a celebrity, although it seemed that way. He wasn’t any form of entertainer, he was a student at Shinhwa High School in Class 3-I.
It all started last year.
“Kyuhyun-ah!” the boy with the spiked hair and tall build called out in the classroom.
“Let’s crash the other classrooms!” he ends with a chuckle.
Kyuhyun smiles, “Next time. I’m helping out Zhou Mi.” With that, Sungmin’s mind crashes, as if literal shatters of glass can be heard by his ears.
Kyuhyun only often misses out on Choi Siwon’s offerings to play around, this time it’s because of Zhou Mi. Lee Sungmin’s eyes enlarge, but his mouth stays shut, but his mind is in sudden chaos.
Sungmin always said to himself that no, he wasn’t one of Kyuhyun’s endearing fans, until now, it stands. At least that’s what he thinks.
It’s the start of the school-year when all of those happened, but months have passed and it’s just the start of the year’s December.
It was the middle of the preparation of the classroom décor when a certain voice boomed through the room, “Guys! I’m promoting one of my latest class pairings, KyuMin!” Hyukjae says, a long ‘Woo!’ afterwards and the class cheers in support and anticipation.
“KyuMin? What’s that?” Sungmin’s asks, directing to the over-happy Hyukjae. He’e been promoting loads of other class pairins, YeWook and Senior Couple KangTeuk. He always tries his best to get the latest story about them 24/7. Like some crazed fangirl. How did Sungmin even know how fangirls were like…
“I thought you were smarter than this, Sungmin. Too bad, I was rooting for you to get into the 1st section next year. Anywho, it’s you and this guy, ‘course!” he flashes his gummy smile along with getting a surprised Kyuhyun from the side and hanging his arm around his neck, and grabs Sungmin’s arm with the other.
“You know, Hyukjae, just ‘cause Sungmin and I spend time with each other, I don’t think that it’s enough for a new pairing,” Kyuhyun reasons, oblivious to Sungmin’s sigh of disappointment as he hears Kyuhyun’s soft protest.
“Blah, blah. Whatever. I heard so many people protesting ‘bout things like this. Just think of it as some fun little game, it’s nearing the end of the best school-year anyway. And believe me, I can see K-E-M-I-S-R-Y,” Hyukjae insists.
“You mean, C-H-E-M-I-S-T-R-Y,” Kyuhyun adds, chuckling lightly.

The days passed by and as to what it seems as they apparently get closer much to their Chinese classmate Zhou Mi’s sadness.
The days reached the end of the year and they parted simply, waving and saying goodbye.
Their soft words dying in the mist-like wind.

The start of this next year.
It’s early morning, and it’s only been a few hours since sunrise. The cleaners wake up and start their duty and students reluctantly stand from their tempting beds, preparing for another day of hell after their relaxing summer vacation.
Kyuhyun stands in front of the tall mirror putting on his polo and tie around himself and tightens it just right.
He walks along the school hallways and both girls and guys swoon, he hasn’t lost his touch. He spares some time to render his signature smirk.
“Kyuhyun-ah! So you’re here already! Sungmin’s over there by the way,” Hyukjae says as Kyuhyun enters their beloved classroom. Kyuhyun slightly glances at Sungmin’s direction and sees Ryeowook talking to him. Sungmin’s eyes catch him looking and their eyes cower away.
Hyukjae giggles, “Your seatmate is still Siwon, by the way. Your last names make it impossible to separate the both of you.”
Kyuhyun sits on his chair and looks around the hectic classroom. He glances over at Sungmin and gives a wave, the latter smiles and waves back.
“I have no idea why you always try to hide it though,” Ryeowook says to Sungmin as he catches a glimpse of their cute exchange.
