[M] Foggy Windows (1/1)
The week seemed to drag on for Chen, work, work, work was all that ran through his mind as he sat behind his desk. He groaned as he let his head fall onto the desk, too much work and no down time. He felt like no matter how hard or fast he worked it seemed like his secretary was always two steps ahead of him. Maybe she was just a little too effective sometimes. He wished that he had had some time just to himself. His work life was interfering with his personal life, or was his personal life interfering with his work life? He couldn’t tell anymore. He was starting to feel just a little lonely.Even Chanyeol seemed to have a life all of a sudden, ever since he met Baek the night of the party. Although Chen had never really seen them talk he knew that something was going on between them that no one else knew.Chen turned his head to look at his finished coffee, reading the same words as always. He half smiled, ‘oh coffee why couldn’t you just love me?’ He thought. He wished that life wasn’t so complicated when it came to love. He let his mind wander back to his relationship with his ex. She had told him how much she loved him and he had loved her too, yet he didn’t feel the same way with her as he did when he saw that fiery red haired boy who made his heart pound like crazy, even though they didn’t really know each other. He was deep in thought when suddenly the door slammed open. “Holy shit!” Chen practically threw himself backwards as Chanyeol stepped through the door, grinning with his hand on the doorknob. Chen didn’t even know that Chanyeol was working today. “Dude,” Chanyeol walked in, plopping himself in the chair across from Chen, “You seriously need to get out more.”Chen crossed his arms, “and what makes you say that?”Chanyeol laughed, “you haven’t left work for a week, the only other place you go is home and seeing as how you looked like you were just sleeping I assume that you ‘ve been doing work at home too and not sleeping like normal people.” “I sleep,” Chen turned sideways a little as to not look at Chanyeol as he mumbled, “I just sleep when I’m dead tired.” ‘And not thinking about that boy.’ That was mostly what kept him up at night, but he wasn’t going to let Chanyeol know that.“So how ‘bout going out this weekend? Then you can party it up so that you won’t want to do anything but sleep.” Chanyeol leaned forward.“What?” Chen asked, “Why would I go out? I have so much to do.” He looked at the papers strewn out across his desk, he had been working for hours and yet, he seemed to be getting nowhere.“Oh come on,” Chanyeol rolled his eyes, “You are like the most boring person I’ve ever met, you never go out and do anything, it’s like you’re meant to kill fun. Why don’t you go out more often?”“I go out a lot.” Chen sat forward, glaring at Chanyeol; this man was always getting on his nerves and would never leave him alone when it came to going out on the weekends. This was bullshit, Chanyeol knew good and well that almost every weekend Chen went out, and who was he with, Chanyeol.“Then prove it.” Chanyeol leaned forward and smirked.“Fine! I’ll go out this weekend to whatever you’re doing okay.” Chen stood up, a feeling of accomplishment welling up inside him because he was going out on his own accord and not because Chanyeol was pulling him along.Chanyeol smirked, and Chen sat back down, looking at him questioningly. “Gotcha.”“What?”“I just got you to do exactly what I wanted you too.” Chanyeol laughed.Chen contained himself from getting up and smacking Chanyeol, how dare he trick him into going out. Chen smacked his forehead and he groaned and sat back, “I hate you Chanyeol,” He talked into his hand.Chanyeol just smiled as he looked at Chen. “Well someone needs to take care of you and make sure you actually do something in life,” He cut off Chen as he was about to protest, “And no that doesn’t mean working.” Chen closed his mouth abruptly, looking very perturbed.Chen sat back in his chair, crossing his arms and looking away from Chanyeol who smiled. That creeper, he was so difficult to deal with. Why did Chen always find himself going along with Chanyeol’s’ antics, even when it wasn’t direct.Suddenly he had an idea. “You’re not planning on bringing someone with you are you?” Chen sat forward, watching Chanyeols’ smile turn to a smirk.“Maybe, maybe not.” Chanyeol leaned forward, resting his chin on his folded hands, his elbows on the desk, “why? Are YOU planning on bringing someone?” Chen knew that Chanyeol was thinking of the same person he was.He kept his face straight, even if he wanted to bring that guy he couldn’t; they hardly knew each other, plus it wasn’t like they were friends or anything. His thoughts trailed off, ‘just a lucky chance meeting’. Apart from that one night the guy hadn’t seemed to be interested in him, not even slightly. Most girls would have wanted to stay for breakfast and meet up again later; but the boy had just run off, almost like a scared animal. It hadn’t been just morning; it had been at an ungodly hour when he ran off into the horizon, pretty much disappearing from the face of the planet, only leaving his dog tag and a belt to show an actual sign of his existence.Chen sat back, crossing his arms over his chest, looking away from Chanyeol. “No.” he replied plainly.“Well then,” Chanyeol stood up, “maybe we’ll meet people when we get there.” Before Chen could ask him any questions Chanyeol was out the door, closing it behind him securely.Chen groaned, letting his head fall back on the desk with a thud. Hopefully this night wouldn’t be too long. In a way he felt torn, a part of him wanted to go out, while the other part of him wanted to stay home and just be by himself so that he could finish his work in peace and quiet without Chanyeol barging in every ten minutes for no apparent reason. He lightly smacked his against the desk a couple more times, what was he going to do? He had already said that he was going, and he knew that if he tried to stay home Chanyeol would come get him anyway. He sighed deeply; maybe he would just take a ten minute nap and think about it later. ‘yep,’ He thought, ‘that’s what I’ll definitely do.’ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~A couple hours later Chen looked up at the clock and saw it was lunch time. He stood, stretching and grabbing his stuff before leaving, he knew exactly where he was going. It was a pleasant day outside, a warm breeze stirred along the trees that lined the sidewalks by the high end apartments. He strolled along, hands in his pockets as he made his way towards The Black Pearl. He smiled as he got closer; It was always a pleasant visit because Luhan and Tao always seemed to have a smile on their faces and happy words to say.He listened for that familiar ding as he walked through the door. Chen watched as Tao and Luhan looked up almost in sync and smile when they saw who it was. “Chen!” Tao walked over, clapping him on the back (a little rougher than necessary). “How you been?”“Good, just busy as ever.” Chen smiled and waved as he walked with Tao over to his usual seat in front of Luhan.“What do you want today? The usual or something different?” Tao asked as he leaned on the counter.“If it’s new then would it be something that you made?” Chen asked. He knew that Tao was always happy to have him try one of his new creations.Tao nodded happily. “Then I’ll have whatever you make.” Chan smiled. Tao stood up and beamed as he made his way towards the kitchen.Luhan smiled and shook his head, “you really shouldn’t encourage him.”“What, he likes to cook.” Chen smiled.“Just don’t tell him that he actually can.”“And why not?” Chen smirked.“Because he might want to run off and make his own business.” Luhan joked.“Well then I’ll try to talk him out of leaving if he tries.” Luhan and Chen laughed, they knew that Tao wouldn’t leave, he had helped build this place and was too proud to leave. As he waited Chen and Luhan talked about life, but nothing in particular; nothing big had occurred in Chen’s life so he didn’t really have much to say.A couple people came in and went out looking to be just going on with their everyday lives. Even though it was just morning the day felt as if it were stretching on and he wasn’t really progressing.Just when he thought that everyone had left except for himself along with Luhan and Tao the bell on the door rang and Chen turned to see a tall auburn haired boy walk through the door. His face was blank and unreadable and he looked to be on a mission.Chen turned around, watching out of the corner of his eye as the boy walked straight over to Luhan and embraced him in a hug. His face changed and he smiled; looking only at Luhan who seemed excited to see him.Tao walked out of the kitchen at that moment, swaying his way around the couple and moving the tray away as the boy hugging Luhan tried to reach out and grab the sandwich.Chen smiled at Tao as he came over and sat down on a bar stool beside Chen, setting the tray with the steaming sandwich on the counter. He leaned over and whispered, “They’re always like this, it’s gross.” He chuckled, “but it gets grosser.”Chen had to keep himself from laughing out loud because although Tao was only joking the first person that came to his mind was Chanyeol and his way of trying to impress someone by being all mushy. Because the only person Chen had tried to impress was his ex he didn’t have the whole romantic experience because she was the only one who had been straight forward. He sighed deeply as memories flushed back through his mind.Tao noticed his sudden change in mood. “What’s wrong?” He asked.“Oh nothing.” Chen smiled as he looked up at Tao who didn’t ask any more questions.“Hey where’s my sandwich.” The boy still hugging Luhan turned to look at Tao.“Make your own sandwich.” Tao scrunched his face. The boy stuck out his tongue. “Come on,” Luhan grabbed he boys hand, “I’ll make you a sandwich.” He giggled, pulling the boy along behind him and into the kitchen.“They’ll be making more than a sandwich.” Tao rolled his eyes and mumbled.Chen smacked his arm when he heard the remark and they both laughed together.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~Chen sat with Tao, eating and talking before he said goodbye and headed back to work. The breeze had died down so it felt a lot warmer than before. He felt bad for leaving Tao alone (well, not really) but stuck in the shop with two very distracted people.Chen chose to walk through the park today on his way back to work. It was pretty much empty except for a couple of people; a dog walker, an elderly couple and the boy in the coffee stand talking to another person. It was Xiumin. Chen watched as he waved goodbye to Baekhyun and turned away, running off into an alleyway. It was weird how after their first meeting Chen noticed how he saw the boy more and more along his morning routine. He kept on his way, just casually strolling along until finally he reached his building. He looked up and sighed deeply. All he ever seemed to do was work, how had be gotten this far into his work and not see it before?~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~Hours later Chen finished his work and headed home, everyone else had left so he decided he would too. Once he arrived at home he immediately flopped down on his bed and went to sleep. It would be the weekend soon and he didn’t think he was quite ready for another weekend out with Chanyeol.***Xiumin let himself fall back onto the couch, totally exhausted. He had been cleaning around the house with Sarah, which ended up as a cleaning/dancing competition as they listened to music.Sarah flopped down on the couch beside him with a laugh. He looked over and smiled, he didn’t remember having this much fun with household chores. He couldn’t believe that only a week ago she was practically on her death bed after being shot.“So,” she turned to him abruptly, “Who do you think cleaned the fastest?” She seemed excited to have been able to run around. He tapped his chin, “well, seeing as how you have longer legs than me and can run faster I would say you, but I think I did better.” He stuck out his tongue. She laughed and smacked his shoulder. “You just don’t want me to win do you.”He laughed, “You know it’s just for fun.”She leaned over, “speaking of fuuunnn.” She gave a devious smile and he knew what she was thinking of and his mind immediately said no.“No, no way.” Xiumin shook his head back and forth quickly, “I can’t just leave you here by yourself.”Sarah made a puppy face, “But you promised Kyungsoo. He’ll be so disappointed if you don’t go.”He crossed his arms and wrinkled his nose while looking away. “Oh come onnn.” She shook his arm gently, “Do it for me okay.” She beamed as he turned back around to her.“Okay okay fine,” he held up a hand. “But I have to check your wounds first before I leave.”She nodded vigorously, pulling off her shirt and letting him examine her wounds which were almost fully healed. She had healed quickly and it amazed him how much energy she had. “Look,” she moved her arm back and forth happily. “I’m pretty much all better.”He sat back, satisfied with what he saw as she pulled on her shirt again. “Yeah, but close doesn’t mean you are.”She rolled her eyes, “well I can take care of myself in the time you’re gone so don’t worry.” She stood up, pulling him with her to the bedroom.“But I don’t want to leave you alone.”“But I’m not alone.” As if right on cue Fugus came trotting through the bedroom door and jumping up onto the bed to watch Sarah and Xiumin. He gave her a look that said, ‘really? The dog.’ The look she gave him back said, ‘yes.’ He didn’t ask any more questions after that.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~Xiumin found himself being pulled around and clothes thrown at him as she rummaged through the closet, picking out the outfit she wanted him to wear for the night. Since he had been staying here to take care of her his clothing seemed to have accumulated itself here also. She used a straightener to make his hair wavy and when she was satisfied with the results she was all but pushing him out the door, giving him a hug before sending him off to meet Kyungsoo.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~Xiumin walked along the sidewalk towards the park as the sky began darkening; he pulled out his cellphone, pressing the familiar button that he always did. It rang twice before Kyungsoo picked up. “Hey Soo, pick me up at the main park, I’ll be waiting.” Without waiting for a reply he hung up. He knew that Kyungsoo would know exactly where he was.He didn’t have to wait long before Kyungsoo arrived. “Took you long enough to contact me.” he joked, as Xiumin fell instep beside him.“Sorry, but I was busy with some stuff.”“What kind of stuff?” Kyungsoo smirked.Xiumin couldn’t hold back a smile as he crossed his arms looking around but not focusing on anything in particular. “Just stuff.” He replied.“Well tonight you can forget about all your “stuff” and just have fun.” Kyungsoo seemed to be in a happy mood today which seemed to raise Xiumins’ mood up too.“So what is this event that we’re going to exactly?” Xiumin looked over at Kyungsoo and raised his eyebrow.“You’ll see.” Was the only reply he received. In what seemed like a couple minutes later they finally arrived. Xiumin looked around in wonder as they passed by brightly lit and sleek cars, they were top of the line and some looked to be foreign. As they neared the center of all of the cars he noticed that there was a platform with a bar and a dj playing music that vibrated the ground and everything around them.He followed Kyungsoo who seemed to know where he was going. “So this is what you brought me to? Street racing?” He didn’t even know they had street races here. It amazed him how Kyungsoo knew about all these different events and he didn’t, even though they worked at the same place.Kyungsoo shrugged, “If I would’ve told you then you would never have come.”Xiumin rolled his eyes and smiled. They walked up to the bar, taking a seat and ordering their drinks as they watched two cars take off. People screamed and cheered as they watched the cars staying in close ranks with each other as they both tried to gain the upper hand. They were fast, but nothing super impressive beyond that. They watched as they both made the last turn to come back to the main section. One of the cars had finally gained the lead and was staying in front of the other at a steady pace, it was clear who would win this race. Finally they pulled in and many people ran up to their cars, congratulating the drivers as they emerged from their vehicles. Xiumin took the drink that the bartender handed to him and drank a few sips. It was bitter but he had gotten used to so many different kinds of alcohol that it didn’t bother him.Xiumin leaned over, “Wouldn’t you love to do something like that, drive recklessly and be popular because of it?” He smirked.“Actually I prefer keeping my life thank you very much.” Kyungsoo wasn’t one for living life on the edge but yet it still surprised Xiumin that Kyungsoo worked for the mob, which was probably one of the most dangerous things you could find.“You should learn to live a little.” Xiumin nudged his arm.“I live, I just prefer to live where it’s safe and I’m not going to die.”“Uh huh surrrree.”Xiumin was about to make another comment when he suddenly saw Baekhyun practically prancing over with a gigantic smile on his face as he waved to Xiumin. “How are you Xiu?” Baekhyun hopped up onto the seat next to him.“I’m alright. How ‘bout you? You seem to be extremely chipper tonight.” Xiumin looked Baekhyun up and down. “What’s with you?”“Oh nothing, just happy to be out and about I guess.” Baekhyun swung back and forth on the seat like a child who couldn’t touch the floor because the seat was too tall. Xiumin nodded, it was always nice to get away from work. They sat quiet for a moment until Xiumin saw Baekhyun waving to someone who was making their way through the crowd or people, “Yeollie over here!”, the person he was waving at was Chanyeol; followed by a shorter guy in a leather jacket. It took Xiumin a second to recognize who it was, then it suddenly hit him, it was the guy he had slept with, Chen.He watched as Chanyeol spotted Baekhyun and immediately began making his way over to where they sat, pulling Chen along behind him.“Hey Baek.” Chanyeol was all smiles as he looked at the giddy boy sitting before him.“Hi Yeol, you ready to go?”“Uh huh,” Chanyeol nodded, Baekhyun standing up.“Wait wait,” Xiumin reached out and grabbed Baekhyuns’ arm, “Where are you going? You just got here.”“Oh, we’re still going to be here, we’re just going for a ride.” Baekhyun seemed genuinely excited about this.“Oh.” Xiumin let go of his arm and without a second word Baekhyun and Chanyeol were off. There was an awkward moment of silence as Chen stood before Xiumin, looking at the ground, both unsure of what to say. “Have a seat.” Xiumin motioned to the now empty chair beside him. Chen nodded, climbing up onto the seat and ordering a drink for himself.“How are you?” Chen asked.“Good, and you?”“Good. What made you come tonight?” Chen asked.“I was pulled along by this one here.” Xiumin nudged Kyungsoo who had been staring off into space. “What about you?”“I know someone here.” As if on cue there was a squeal of tires as a black Porsche took off alongside a yellow Mercedes. It wasn’t much of a race as the Porsche gained speed, leaving space between the two cars that the other car wouldn’t be able to make up in order to win.Almost as fast as it began the race was over and the Porsche came to a screeching halt in the middle of all the people who clapped and cheered like there was no tomorrow.Xiumin watched as the person got out of the car, taking off their sunglasses and waving to the crowd around him. He looked so familiar. Then, as he walked over Xiumin knew exactly who it was, his ex.“Ah Chen,” His ex came over, patting Chen on the back firmly with a big grin on his face. “I’m glad you came, ready for another round?” They laughed together.“Anytime.” Chen replied. “Ah! Xiumin meet the friend I was telling you about. Lay this is Xiumin.”
Xiumin held back his glare, “nice to see you’re doing well.” Xiumin looked Lay up and down, taking in his designer clothing and expensive car.
“I try.” Lay regarded Xiumin sitting next to Chen, looking only for a brief moment before looking back at Chen.“Oh, you know each other?” He asked.“Not really,” Xiumin turned back around and took a drink from his glass. He assumed that Chen could feel the tension in the air so he didn’t ask any more questions. There was an awkward moment of silence before Lay spoke up. “Hey Chen, why don’t you take my car for a drive.” Lay tossed his keys to Chen who stood up immediately.“Really? You sure?”“Yeah,” Lay clapped him on the back, “Don’t have too much fun now, make sure that it comes back in one piece okay.”“You got it!” Chen replied over his shoulder as he headed for the car.It wasn’t until Lay sat himself down next to Xiumin that Kyungsoo then excused himself, saying that he was going to look at some of the cars, but they all knew that he was just trying to stay out of old business.Lay ordered a drink and set his phone down on the bar top as he drank it. Xiumin looked over as his phone buzzed and saw that the picture was of Lay and another guy who was shorter and had auburn hair, they were sitting together in what looked like a hallway and they were holding hands. Even though the other boy was smaller he looked to be older than Lay, but not by much. If the guy had been friends with them in high school and looked like that they would have probably nicknamed him Grandpa because of his mature features.“Yeboseyo?” Lay answered. Xiumin noticed just how weird it actually was hearing Lay speak in Korean and not Chinese because when they had been together they would talk to each other in Chinese. The guy he was dating now must be Korean in order for him to answer that way.“Yeah, okay. You’re coming right?” Lay sounded like he was having a one sided conversation with himself. “I’ll meet you at the center bar okay? Alright, see you soon, I love you.” All Xiumin could hear from the other side of the line was muffled but from the diction of words the boy was definitely Korean. Those three little words, echoed in his brain. He was remembering the time that that same voice had said the exact same thing to him, but yet, it was different sounding and now… it was being said to someone else. Xiumin took a swig of his drink, downing it in one shot. “So you left me for a grandpa?” Xiumin picked up his glass, pretending to inspect it before waving the bar tender back over for a refill. When the bartender walked off Lay turned to Xiumin. “Come on Xiumin, you know that things weren’t going to work out between us, and besides, he’s not that bad.”
Xiumin scoffed, “that didn’t give you the right to cheat on me. And just because he has money doesn’t make him a good person.” The bartender handed him his drink and he immediately downed it. “Keep ‘em comin’.” He held his glass out to the bartender who didn’t say a word as he took it and walked off.“You know why I did it.” Lay looked directly at Xiumin until he met his eyes.“Oh really, do I?” He reached over to the persons drink that was next to him, drinking it down and glaring at the man who began to protest until he looked scared and stopped, turning away from Xiumin. “Falling in love isn’t a good enough reason for me.”“But you have to believe in love, who doesn’t believe in it?”Xiumin stood up abruptly, slamming the glass down as he looked at the table. He turned and looked Lay straight in the eye, his heart pounding with all the happy and sad memories that they had made together. The only person he had loved in the entire world was now sitting in front of him, dressed in fancy clothes with expensive things and he, on the other hand, had almost nothing but the clothes on his back and a bad reputation with the police (if they ever found out about it).I believed in love once,” he paused, turned and beginning to walk away, stopping only for a brief second to turn and look over his shoulder slightly, “and look where that got me.”Before Lay could say anything else Xiumin turned on his heel and stalked away. This was the worst night ever. Xiumin shook his head as he walked away, why couldn’t there be people that would love someone unconditionally.Xiumin looked up at the stars. They were all unique in their own way, yet there was always another star to perfectly match the other. Where was his star?“Look out!” suddenly he felt a tug on his arm and he felt himself falling sideways as two cars raced by, across the place he had just been standing. He turned around to see his rescuer. He was surprised to see that it was Chen. He smiled at Xiumin who stood frozen.“sorry ‘bout that, they were moving really fast and I couldn’t think of any other way to get your attention.” He scratched the back of his neck.“No it’s okay, thanks for you know, saving my life.” “Don’t mention it.”“I thought you were driving Lays’ car.” The name felt bitter as it rolled off his tongue.“Well I was going to but I decided that I should drive my own, but… I don’t really wanna drive alone. Do you wanna go with me?”“You? driving?”Chen nodded, “follow me.” Xiumin followed Chen through a crowd of people and to an area where a red car sat by itself. As they got closer Xiumin noticed that it was not just a red car, but a red Ferrari. His eyes grew wide as they walked up to it. “No way. This cannot be your car.” Chen laughed as he unlocked the doors and they both climbed in.“I know it’s hard to believe but it really is mine. Are you saying I don’t look rich eough to own this?” Chen joked.“Well to be honest, it doesn’t look like it’d be your style.” He laughed“Well I like to be surprising.”‘You’re not the only one.’ Xiumin thought, his job wasn’t the most admirable.“You ready?” Chen buckled himself in and turned to look at Xiumin who put his seat belt on and gave a thumbs up.Without a second thought Chen revved the engine and took off. Xiumin clutched his seat when they jolted forward. He didn’t know why he hadn’t expected Chen to drive like this, but then again he did say that he liked to be surprising.Xiumin relaxed back in his seat as they remained at a constant speed and a straight direction. He was amazed as they went screaming by shops on the street and where people sat drinking and eating, yet no one even batted an eyelash. Was something like this an everyday thing? He looked over at Chen who looked like he was taking a Sunday drive at about 25 but in all actuality they were going around 110. Xiumins’ eyes bugged when he looked at the speedometer. Inside the car everything seemed to move slowly, whereas everything on the outside was a blur.Chen picked up speed as they hit the edge of the city and headed towards the countryside. “You know you don’t have to hold on so tightly, I’m not going to kill us ya know.” Chen chuckled.Xiumin slowly unclutched his hands from the death grip they had on the seat and he turned to give an awkward smile. He was impressed with Chens’ driving but he much preferred his life, one preferably without any brain or body damage. For some reason though, he felt that he could trust Chen. They went around some sharp curves and Xiumin began to think about this as more of a roller-coaster than a carried. He felt that it was becoming more and more fun.“Hey, try this.” Chen reached up and opened the sun roof. When Xiumin looked at him confused he simply smiled and reached over to unbuckle Xiumins’ seatbelt. Xiumin kept himself from immediately reaching over and putting it back on.Chen motioned for him to stand up. He was hesitant at first but then thought, ‘oh screw it,’ and stood up; his hand and shoulders fitting through the sun roof. It was exhilarating having the wind blow through his hair and over his face. He threw his hands up and yelled out into the wind. He’d never done anything like this in his life and he was loving it. He could’ve sworn that he heard Chen laugh in the car.Xiumin dropped back down, a wide grin on his face as Chen looked over at him. He could tell that his hair was completely messed up from the wind but he didn’t care.He stripped off his jacket, throwing it on the dash before standing up and doing it again.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~As of right now he was glad that Kyungsoo made him go out.Xiumin closed the sun roof as he sat back down in his seat. He couldn’t stop the smile on his face. This was one of the most exciting days he had had; apart from his job, but that was another story and that was work.“Ready to go back?” Chen asked.‘Never.’ Xiumin thought, “Sure.” All of his happiness and excitement went out the window once he thought about being back at the party with Lay. Then he had an idea. Here he was, and here Chen was. Lay knew they knew each other; but how well they knew each other was still a blank. Xiumin smiled with this thought, no one said they weren’t together. If he didn’t agree then that was okay too, he could always just go home and pretend it never happened. “Heyyyy,” Xiumin began, getting silent as Chen looked over at him. “Would you be willing to do me a favor?”"That depends on what it would be, I’m not going to kill anyone for you.” He laughed heartily."No no.” Xiumin smiled and shook his head. “I made a bet with my friend earlier that I could be a good date for the night. Could you help me and pretend to be my date?” There was a moment of silence, “We don’t have to do anything like buy food and stuff, just hang out with me.” He smiled brightly as Chen looked over.“Hmmm.” Chen tapped his chin for a moment, “and what do I get for this?” He smirked.“My company?” Xiumin answered unsure. He hadn’t quite thought this all the way through. He waited in silence, about ready to say that it was a joke when suddenly Chen reached over and laughed as his hugged he from the side.“Well alright then, I can live with that. But.” Suddenly he looked over serious as he looked over at Xiumin as he drove up, parking the car near the edge of the crowd by the DJ, “we have to make it convincing.” He cracked a smile and Xiumin did too.‘Oh thank god.’ Xiumin felt himself sigh internally. Chen opened his door slightly, just enough for the crowd to see into the car; Xiumin was about to do the same when suddenly he felt Chens’ hand on his arm. When he turned slightly Chen leaned forward and kissed him, but to Xiumin it was all in slow motion. When Chen pulled back he winked, and when Xiumin look just past his shoulder and saw Lay looking in their direction from where he sat at the bar , he had seen it and Xiumin could tell.He smiled back at Chen as they both got out of the car. The girls immediately surrounded Chen and Xiumin felt himself being pushed out. He just stood as he watched the girls fawn over Chen, but once Chen saw where Xiumin was he reached out, grabbing his wrist and pulling him alongside him and throwing his arm around his shoulders.“Ladies, ladies. I’ll hang with you later, I’m a little busy right now can’t you see?” He squeezed Xiumin gently to his side and smiled. There was a chorus of disappointed ‘awww’s as the girls all filed off with their friends.Chen leaned over, practically whispering in Xiumins’ ear, “Sorry ‘bout that. They only think I’m cool because I race with Lay.” That sent another pang of hurt through his heart again, that name always got to him.He pulled himself together. Tonight was going to be fun; he wasn’t going to let the past memories get to him. That was in the past and that’s where it would stay.He laughed, leaning father into Chens’ should. He leaned in, “you are cool, or at least I think you are.”Chen smiled and Xiumin smiled back.Suddenly Xiumin found himself being hug attack from behind. “Minnnnn!!!!!” It was Luhan, which surprised Xiumin. He turned around to face the tall blonde. “Luhan, what are you doing here?” he looked around, “and where’s Tao?” usually they were together, so it was a weird occurrence not to see them in the same place at the same time.“I came with Sehun.” As if on cue Sehun walked over with two drinks, handing one to Luhan and slipping the other around the tallers’ waist. He raised his eyebrows as a greeting as he took a sip, looking at Chens’ arm which was around Xiumins’ shoulders. “Tao said something about going to get a tall glass of water.” Luhan continued and shrugged. “whatever that means.”“So how long have you been here?” Luhan asked as they all walked over to a place near the DJ where there were seats, where Chanyeol and Baekhyun already sat with Kyungsoo who just watched as Baekhyun talked. When he spotted Xiumin he perked up in his seat and waited for them all to sit down.“Where did you go? You just ran off— sorry Baek.” Kyungsoo apologized as he cut Baekhyun off in mid-sentence.“Just out for a spin.” Xiumin replied, watching as Kyungsoos’ eyes followed the hand that rested on his leg up to the face of the owner, which was Chen.“Well this is fun, having everyone here.” Lay suddenly walked over, plopping himself down in one of the chairs to complete the circle, Suho followed, sitting down in the chair beside Lay, their hands together.“Hell yeah.” Chanyeol agreed, leaning back and putting his arm on the back of Baekhyuns’ chair. “We should all hang out more often so we can get to know each other better.” He glanced over and winked at Xiumin who turned to see Chen looking off in another direction, but his hand hadn’t moved from the place it was before. It felt weird, seeing his ex after so long and using a guy to make him jealous, but at the same time trying to prove that he had moved on with his life. He didn’t know which one he wanted more at this point. Since he knew how much Lay liked his new boyfriend just by the way he looked at him Xiumin assumed that it was too late for a future together now.He shook himself, here he was again wallowing in self-pity. “Hey, let’s go get a drink.” Xiumin stood up suddenly, grabbing the hand that had been resting on his leg and intertwined his fingers with Chens’, smiling brightly as Chen stood up. “We’ll be right back.” Xiumin announced, pulling Chen along with him to the bar.“Sorry, if you feel awkward.” Xiumin turned to Chen after they had ordered.“No it’s okay, this is actually quite fun.” Chen flashed him a bright smile. What a shame, this guy was attractive and yet Xiumin was worried about his ex.“Really?” their drinks arrived and they headed back towards where everyone sat.“Yeah! Everyone is so entertaining and interesting that I don’t think that it could be boring.”‘If only you knew,’ Xiumin thought, taking his seat next to Chen who wrapped an arm around his shoulders.“So,” Luhan leaned forward, “We thought we should do something interesting and fun instead of just sitting and drinking so we came up with a good game.”“We as in who?” Xiumin asked, eyeing an overly happy Luhan who was practically jumping up and down in his seat.“We as in me and Baek.” Luhan beamed with Baekhyun as they looked at each other as if they had accomplished some big project.“And the game is?” Chen asked.“Truth or dare. But!” Luhan cut off everyone as they groaned, at the children’s game. “There’s a twist.” Baekhyun cut in. “instead of just regular truth or dare we decided that you have to do a dare and tell a truth about yourself, but if you don’t want to do one or the other you have to take a drink, and if you don’t want to do either you have to by all of us another round of drinks.”They all contemplated this for a moment before agreeing. It seemed simple enough.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~Little did they know that a couple hours later they would all be pretty much smashed except for Suho who was the designated driver for Lay because he said he valued his life and would drive the drunkard home.Because they were all too drunk to think of any more questions they were mostly just sitting around. Baekhyun had crawled his way into Chanyeols’ lap and Xiumin didn’t want to look at what their faces were doing, especially in public. Of course Kyungsoo was asleep, he was such a light weight and it made Xiumin laugh. Sehun and Luhan were out on the dance floor dancing with the bass of the music that played.Lay and Suho sat together as they watched the two on the dance floor. Xiumin felt bored and wanted to do something. He looked over at Chen who just seemed to keep drinking and looked over at Xiumin, raising his eyebrows. He didn’t look drunk at all, or at least in comparison to the rest of the group.“Come on,” Xiumin took the drink from Chens’ hand, taking a drink and pulling him up. They both staggered a little but managed to find their balance as they walked to the dancing floor. He pulled Chen forward, wrapping his arms around his waist as he took another drink, beginning to move his body in time with the music. He looked at the other dancers and began to copy their movements. He leaned his head back, letting it fall onto Chens’ shoulder as they swayed back and forth to the music. He looked over and saw that Lay was watching them. Xiumin smirked, perfect. The bass of the music reverberated through them. When the chorus hit Xiumin pushed back farther, pressing his back into Chens’ front; bringing a hand up to reach back and cup the back Chens’ neck. He slid down in time with the music, popping himself back as he slid up. Chens’ hands found their way to Xiumins’ waist, sliding back and forth with every movement Xiumin made. When the music slowed back down Xiumin twirled around, facing Chen, pulling him forward by his collar until they were inches apart. His lust filled eyes locking with Chens’ who wrapped an arm around his waist, pulling their bodies together, moving a leg between Xiumins’; his other hand coming up to cup the back of Xiumins’ neck, pulling him forward and locking their lips together; their bodies still swaying together with the pulse of the music. They broke apart when breathing became difficult, looking into each other’s eyes. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Xiumin asked, his lust filled eyes never leaving Chens."Move somewhere else?”Xiumin only nodded, running over to write a quick note to Kyungsoo that he wouldn’t need to worry about taking him home and then they were off, heading towards Chens’ car.Once they were in the car Chen took off, driving them to a small secluded area in the woods. Once he parked the car Xiumin was on him; his arms tangling around his neck as he crushed their lips together, the kiss rough and passionate. Chens’ hands slipped down to grip his bottom, giving a gentle squeeze. Xiumin gasped pulling back for a moment as Chen whispered, “back seat, there’s more room.”Without saying anything he quickly hopped into the back seat, beginning to strip his clothes from his body as Chen followed him, grasping his hands when he began to tug at the bottom of his shirt. Their eyes locked and Chen smirked at Xiumin who knew exactly what he was thinking. He let him pull his shirt off, flinging it over the headrest of the front seat before reaching for his pants. His nimble fingers working the button loose and pulling down the zipper, reaching inside in one swift movement. Xiumins’ head fell back as Chen stroked him through the fabric of his underwear, the friction causing his body to heat up and immediately cause his skin to become a lightly flushed pink.“Ah,” he groaned, watching through half lidded eyes as Chen moved his hand inside, his fingers lightly caressing the skin before taking a hold, slowly moving his hand up and down. “Ah Chen, nngn.” Xiumin bit his lower lip. Chen knew how to tease his body in the right way.Xiumin pushed Chen back lightly, watching a look of bewilderment cross his face before he smirked, reaching down and tugging off Chens’ shirt. He scooted closer, leaning forward and letting his tongue trace Chens’ neck, to his shoulder and down. His tongue circling one of his nipples, sucking gently as his other hand came up to tease the other. He grinned when he heard Chens’ breathing hitch, his hand coming up to tangle itself in Xiumins hair as he switched to the other side, copying what he had done with the first, only this time he let his teeth lightly graze the hardened bud when it was red and couldn’t become any tighter. While his mouth worked over the others skin, his free hand moved down, running over the bulge in Chens pants; he was definitely hard. His hand worked through the fabric, squeezing gently when Chen moved his hips forward every time his hand moved down.Xiumin brought his lips back up to Chens, taking his roughly as his hands worked on Chens pants, removing them completely. When Chen was lying on his back Xiumin found himself poised over him. He smirked, sitting down as he straddled Chens lap, gently rocking back and forth. Chen let his head fall back, all the blood was rushing down to one place and it was making it hard for him to think straight; espicially with the little sex devil in his lap right now.“That’s. Not. Fair.” He punctuated each word in time with Xiumins gentle thrusting. His hands reached down, pushing Xiumins’ hips up and away from his own, sitting up as he swiftly pulled Xiumins pants down along with his boxers, by accident, letting them fall on the floor of the car. He smirked, eyeing Xiumins red, swollen member. “Well that makes it so much easier.” He breathed, letting his hand wrap around Xiumins’ length, pumping slow and deliberately; watching his half lidded, lust filled eyes mirror his as their gazes locked. They both wanted this, and they wanted it now.Chen pushed him backwards until he was lying on his back staring up into those mysterious dark brown eyes. He reached down, taking chens’ hand in his and leading it to his lips, licking across his palm before taking two fingers in his mouth and sucking gently.Chen groaned and Xiumin smirked, swirling his tongue around each finger before letting them pop out of his mouth and guiding them downward. He arched his back when he felt Chens’ cold finger circle his puckered hole before slowly pushing in. Xiumins hands gripped Chens’ shoulders as he prepped him, adding in another finger when he was stretched farther open.“Why don’t you just put yourself in already?” Xiumin smirked, their eyes meeting as Chen looked up.“Because I want you to feel everything when I am.” Chen smirked back, moving his three fingers in a different direction, hitting a spot that sent a jolt of electricity through Xiumins’ body, making him let out a whimper.Xiumin reached up, grabbing onto the back of Chens’ head and pulling him down to his face. “I’m ready now.” He licked the side of his neck moving to make himself more open for Chen to fit between his legs. “I’m ready when you are.”He watched as Chens’ eyes clouded over with hot lust as he looked down at Xiumin, as he moved to place himself just right, holding himself at his entrance for only a moment before sheathing himself completely in one shot.Xiumin brought Chen down to kiss him roughly as he moved back and forth, his hands tracing his chest and abdomen, his fingertips so light they made Chen shudder with excitement, making goosebumps appear on his skin. The windows were beginning to fog and even though the car was cold their bodies were warming up the car to the point of being a sauna. He didn’t know how someone he had only met a couple times and drank with could make him this way but when this happened he didn’t care and just let himself be swept away with the gentle skin and the sweet scent that radiated from this man.Their tongues clashed as they kissed each other roughly, their bodies having a mind of their own as Chen began to move faster. Xiumin pulled back from the kiss, moaning as he hit the spot that made lights flash before his eye with every thrust.“More, more.” He moaned.Suddenly Chen pulled him up so that he was sitting on Chens’ lap with his knees touching the back of the seat. The movement pushing Chen deeper inside; He leaned back, using his hands to move himself up and down. The sensation of the friction inside him making it harder and harder for him to hold onto his sanity. His eyes locked with Chens’ half lidded ones and he let himself rut against him roughly. Chens’ hands ran up the side of his body as he kissed his chest, licking every inch of his skin.Xiumins’ breathing hitched when Chen sucked against his skin, making a trail down his neck and to his nipples which were already red and sensitive. He moaned, holding Chens’ head to his chest, he didn’t want him to stop.Chen moved faster, one hand playing with Xiumins’ cock, running up and down its length, teasing the tip with his index finger and letting his thumb dig into the top with every thrust.“Nngn, don’t stop.” Xiumin breathed. He didn’t think he could take any more Chen moved his hands down to grip his waist in both hands, adjusting himself to hit Xiumins’ sensitive spot repeatedly, the bright lights exploding behind his closed eyes.He leaned his head down, nibbling Chen’s shoulder. He knew it would leave a mark. Even though he didn’t know why he did it he liked knowing that someone else could see it and wonder who put it there. He traced his tongue over the now forming bruise; hearing a moan escape Chens’ lips.Xiumin felt himself nearing the edge and couldn’t hold himself back another second, letting his release course through him as he tightened his legs around Chen and tightened himself around Chens’ cock. Only a second later and Chen followed, slumping back against the seat, letting Xiumin fall forward onto him as they tried to calm their breathing and pounding hearts.Once they had energy enough to move Xiumin (with the help of Chen) slid himself off Chens’ lap and onto the seat beside him. He ran a hand through his hair. “So what now?” he smiled.“We could go back to my place.” Chen winked, reaching forward to grab his shirt to clean himself and Xiumin, then grabbing their other clothes and helping Xiumin into his before putting his on.“But I have work tomorrow.” He scrunched up his face. Not to mention that he wanted to go see Sarah, even if she had joked about him not coming home he knew what her insinuation was.“Oh come on.” Chen ruffled Xiumins’ hair, “it’s the weekend now, you can think about work tomorrow.” They climbed back into the front seats and Chen started the car.“Well…” Xiumin looked over at Chen who smiled charmingly. “I guess, but first,” he cracked a smile, “let’s get some drinks.”~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~After a couple (or a lot) more drinks Xiumin and Chen arrived back at Chens’ apartment. They both slightly staggered back and forth, using each other for support to not fall down. Chen pulled out his keys and unlocked the door when they finally reached it.Xiumin hesitated when Chen held the door open for him. “Are you coming in?” He took Xiumins’ hands in his as he swayed back and forth a little. He had work but he really didn’t want to go tomorrow, or even think about work right now; but he knew that he had to. It wouldn’t hurt anyone if he didn’t go, but he needed the money.“I can only stay the night if you wake me up tomorrow.” Xiumin smirked.“Deal, now are you going to come in?”Xiumin stood outside the door, his hands in Chens’ as he looked just over Chens’ shoulder into the dark apartment behind him. “I really shouldn’t, I have work tomorrow,” He was trying to talk himself out of staying the night, but so far it wasn’t working.“Good thing we have all night.” Chen smirked, gently tugging on Xiumins’ hands. Even though his brain said no he found himself being pulled inside.
