On Monday (1/1)

This is the Monday when Minseok left without a word (okay they talked about him leaving for the week but still, he should’ve waken Lu Han up so they can kiss make-out goodbye at the least) and Lu Han starts cleaning their room. He remembers them having a box of memories when in reality it is just an old shoe-box from Minseok’s old rubber shoes and Lu Han had suggested them to make a box of memories. He likes this idea, he fills them with Polaroids, their anniversary letters, the little things Minseok gives him and it’s just filled with Minseok and his love. Sometimes, Minseok will say that he doesn’t need to do that because he will always be there to remind him of his love for him (as cheesy as that may sound). Lu Han will laugh at him and shake his head as he proceeds to force Minseok into taking another Polaroid with him. He picks up a rather tattered, old looking Polaroid from the bottom of the box. In the Polaroid, they are smiling real wide with their soccer jerseys on, black hair sticking to their foreheads but the happiness is evident in their faces. Lu Han remembers this. This took place in high school, he reminisces. And then this is when all the alternate universes start, he thinks that in another universe, him and Minseok would be star soccer players and would be playing for their countries. Perhaps they could have even went against each other. He rushes to his desk, pulls out his notebook and pen and settles down on the seat, the Polaroid clutched in his hand as he writes down their own alternate universe with them being as soccer players. Minseok, you know, if we pursued being soccer players and auditioned for the nationals, we could have been rivals at the field. Tm style="font-size:14px;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">here would be an alternate universe where I play for China and you’ll play for Korea, maybe we’re still best friends. And then maybe when we meet in the field again, I’ll wave at you and you’ll wave at me. Perhaps you’d run to me and I’d run to you, your arms would wrap around me and mine would too and everyone would look at us but we won’t care. Perhaps in an alternate universe, we’d be star-crossed lovers from China and Korea because of our team’s rivalry. Or maybe we’d be just best friends who love soccer a lot. Maybe in that universe we’d laugh in the shower room, maybe we’d hug to congratulate each other for doing well. Maybe I wouldn’t have confessed because you are Korea’s star player, Kim Minseok. And I’m Lu Han, just another player from the China team. Or maybe I’d be better than you? Ha, just kidding.  Then on days off I’d go to Korea just to visit you and have coffee on a normal Sunday morning like we are not soccer players, but old high school friends who wants to reminisce the peace of the past. Or maybe you’d go to China, you’d look lost of course, the only mandarin you know is hello and thank you.  But don’t worry, because in that universe, I’d be at the airport holding a really big banner that has your name on it, all bright and with silly doodles because I love you that much okay. And then in that universe, I’d drop you off in your hotel room or maybe you could stay at my place while you visit because hey, I’m the reason why you visited anyways.  Then we’d drink coffee of course, not the instant coffee or your coffees which are delicious by the way, but coffee from china. The me in that universe will make sure of that, Minseok. And then we’d spend your whole vacation together, I’d tour you through Beijing and hold your hands always when we go out. However, after all those happiness you’d have to go back to Korea. On the day of your departure, I’d send you off and kiss you just for fun. That is if we aren’t lovers of course, but knowing you, you’d probably feel confused and you’d confess your feelings to me like a child stuttering through confession, and I would too, then we would kiss again. A sincere kiss that couples separating in airports share.  I’d make sure that that isn’t sad however, because I’d make sure to come to Korea or video chat with you a lot. I’d make sure that you’d feel as though I’m there even though I’m actually in China because of my career.  I miss playing soccer with you, Minseok, when you come back, let’s play soccer together again alright?  Lu Han closes his notebook and laughs at himself, skimming over his silly alternate universe before he tucks the notebook with the pen back in the drawer.   A/N: This one is kind of short ;;;; inspired by XiuHan hugging in ADC ♥
