Himchan stared at the file, should he open it? Curiosity was killing him, just a peek, it would be enough. He pushed the tip of the envelope."Himchan, father said Katherine is here!" His sister yelled from the door, surprising him."Goddamn it, Hyesoo! You scared me!" He yelled back."What? Were you looking for porn? Naughty." Hyesoo blew raspberries at him and left. Himchan sighed and closed the file again. He should go down and talk to Katherine before his step-mother does, or else it will be a complete disaster.

He went downstairs to find Katherine receiving a tight hug from Jonghyun."Kateeey~" He said, while spinning her around the room. Hyesoo passed by Himchan and pushed her brother, going to hug Katherine. "Put her down Jonghyun, you will break her bones!" She said before pushing her other brother and hugging Katherine."Kateeey~ You look so, so pretty!" She caressed Kate's hair while holding her hand."Indeed. Katherine is a woman now. Have you seen her son? He's there in the kitchen with father." Jonghyun said while pointing to the kitchen, where Mr. Kim came from with Seolchan who mouthful of cookies. "Ah, Kate, I guess you necer met our new brother." Jonghyun pushed the high-schooler looking boy, who shyly smilwd and waved."Hi." The boy said. Truthfully, he looked scared."Hello." Kate waved back. Hyesoo wrapped her arms around the boy's neck. "This is Hoon. Our baby! Just kidding! He's one year younger than you, Kate." Hyesoo said while pinching Hoon's cheek."Omo! You look so young! I thought you were a student." Katherine said analyzing the boy."Omo~ Omo~ Seolchan-ah, you're going to be a fatty!" Hyesoo said before picking the boy up who just received more cookies from Mr. Kim"Hye-yah, don't pick him up, it will be bad for your baby." Katherine said and went the older woman, trying to pick her son."No, no, it's fine! I pick Minhyuk all the time!" Hyesoo started shaking gently Seolchan. "Do you want more cookies?" She asked and Seolchan nodded happily. Katherine sighed."Your family is making my son fat." She said to Himchan, he laughed."So he will look like you." He joked. Katherine opened her mouth and slapped his arm. "Ouch. What? You were so fat!" This time Katherine kicked him.  "Go fuck yourself." Katherine said annoyed."Guys, can you please stop with so much love?" Jonghyun said sarcastically, both laughed."Kate! Can you help me with dinner?" Hyesoo yelled from the kitchen."Of course!" Katherine yelled back and went to the kitchen to help the older. She started cutting tomatoes while Hyesoo made the rice. "I missed this family." She smiled. Hyesoo looked and her and smiled."You know you're welcome here whenever you want to come." Katherine sighed."I just feel like I'm not part of this anymore..." She shook her head."What do you mean?" Hyesoo stopped boiling the soup and put the spoon aside, walking to Kate."Katey, the teenager was... Katherine Collins is not." Katherine said bitterly. "I'm sorry." She put the knife down and wiped her hands, before wiping a tear. "You're still the same Kate." Hyesoo held her hand. "The same black hair, the same big pearl eyes, the same personality." She smiled to the younger.  "Katherine, you're like a sister to me. You know I love you as much as I love Jonghyun, as much as I love Himchan,  you're not just someone, you're part of this family." She finished and Katherine hugged her while crying softly."I love you too, Hye-yah." She sobbed again and Hyesoo caressed her hair."Now, let's cook because we have a lot of empty tummies to full!" Katherine nodded and smiled.  During the dinner, everyone ate silently, appreciating the tasty fodd that were made only for them. Everything was fine, everyone gave each other a smile from time to time."What's this?" They heard a voice saying from behind. Katherine froze and Himchan looked worried at her. "Honey, please don't make a fuss about it-" Mr. kim tried to calm down his wife but she pushed him and walked to Katherine. The girl froze, her hands were trembling and her palms sweated like crazy."Guess who's back?" The young-looking woman said, tracing her finger around Katherine's face."Did they fire at the club? Gosh! It must be hard to be a prostitute nowadays!" The woman gave her cheek a slap."Honey, please don't do that." Mr. Kim tried to pull his wife from near Katherine. Himchan stood in front of Katherine protective."You such a dirty girl! I don't want someone so dirty in my house!" The woman yelled while being held back by Mr. Kim, Seolchan started crying and Hyesoo tried to calm the kid and took him to the yard. "You even brought your dirty kid! Get away from here!"Hoon slammed the table. "Don't make a fuss about it, mother! She's not the one who's cheating on her husband!" Hoon yelled, the woman froze. Katherine widened her eyes and so did Himchan and his father. No one had ever seen Hoon so mad and angry."We. Need to talk." Mr. Kim said harshly and pulled his wife upstairs. Katherine covered her mouth and sobbed. Himchan caressed her back."You okay?" Hoon asked, Katherine nodded. "Good." He said before going upstairs. Himchan kept hugging her shaking body, while she cried."I raised him all by myself andd heard this thingsall those years, she doesn't know what I've lived! How hard it was!" Katherine hugged Himchan, noe curiosity striked him once again."Katherine, now tell me the truth, when did you got pregnant?" Himchan tried to be as subtle as possible. "I-It was before graduation." She went back to crying. Now Himchan was really, really curious.    As Katherine left, Himchan ran back to his bedroom, and opened his drawer. Enough, he was dying to know the truth. He took the file into his hands, gulped down and opened it.FLASHBACK Himchan looked at Katherine's diary he picked from the box. Should he read it? There's nothing wrong since it's so old she doesn't even remember it. He opened it. The first page had a picture of Him, Kate, Daehyun, Youngjae, Sooyoung, Yongguk and Jongup at the beach. Everyone had a smile. Sooyoung was tightly hugging Yongguk, Jongup was doing a V-sign with a popsicle on his mouth. Daehyun had his arm wrapped around Katherine and she kept a wide smile. 'Busan, 2004' was written in pink and green markers.It's funny how everything can change in 10 years. Himchan sighed and turned the page, some crap about her brother. Then, some crap about her ex-boyfriend (Oh, that's a funny story.) And then, some crap about some queenkas at school, more photos of them.Himchan started getting near their last year, oh there it is! About their first night. He smiled to read the words "sexy", "amazingly good" and "second round" The next pages were empty, some had scribbles in pen, probably to see if the pen still had ink.But there wass a llast page, the last page of all the diary. There was no specific date, but judging by her calligraphy it was at their last year."I' am pregnant and I don't know what to do! I'm fucking 17 and pregnant!!! I should not have done that at Busan with him, I should have...controlled myself, or at least use a condom for God's sake! Now I'm pregnant and I don't know how to tell him... I'm so stupid."And it ended."I should not have done that at Busan with him" Theses words kept replaying at his mind. And the curiosity hit over him, Seolchan was exactly 6 years old,  6 years since they graduated... Katherine was a virgin, so no way she was pregnant when she had sex with him... And he was almost sure she didn't had sex with anyone after that... could Seolchan be his??! NOW Himchan gulped and pushed the tip of the file, he slowly pulled the sheet from the fold, his hands were sweating like crazy.His eyes widened when he saw the results.99,9%Probability of paternity: 99,9%That meant he was Seolchan's father.Himchan stormed out of the house.He walked angrily and kicked the door inside Katherine's house. She quickly walked to the living room, to see what made such loud and scary noise. As he saw her, Himchan breathed deeply."Why you did not tell me?" He asked sharply. Katherine froze. Her hands started shaking, m style="line-height:1.6;">no, no no."You did not tell me that Seolchan is my fucking son!!" Himchan yelled angrily. He threw the DNA test at her. "I had to search for the truth by my own, how long were you planning on keep this from me?" He yelled, she stood frozen in front of him, no words came out of her mouth as she read the paper. "Huh?! Answer me!! How could you take my son?! He's mine too! And you took him away! You didn't even tell me about his existence! Do you really want your son to grow up without a father?! Are you this selfish?! Answer me!"

Katherine broke into tears and fell, her hands started trembling and the paper fell on the floor."I could not..." It was her first words since Himchan entered the house and started spatting hurtful words on her."What?""I could not!" Katherine suddenly yelled angrily, not angrily, but sad. "You would take him away from him! He is the only family I have! He's my life! He's the reason I wake up everyday! And I won't let you or anyone, take my son away from me!" The tears streamed down her face. "I don't want to take him away from you... I want to help you raise him, because it's my fault that you're mother at such age.""W-What?" Katherine stood there."I can help you. I need to compensate for all the years I lost." He cupped her face. Katherine smiled, for the first time in all those 6 years, she felt relieved, she felt like she could finally rely on someone. Kate smiled."You're really willing to be his father? Real father? To be beside him every time? To...To be there for him?" Katherine said hopeful."I can't. Not this way, I will give you what you need and support you, but I can't be there for him every time." Her hopeful smile fell, her black eyes stared at him sadly."Why...?""Because I'm getting married."
