"Let's spend the week on my beach house!" Daehyun said happily to Katherine, who was chopping vegetables she looked at him with a no-no face. "Come on! It will be fun!""Nope." She cut a carrot."Jae, help me here." Daehyun said and Youngjae came, hugging Katherine."You disappeared for 6 years, I think we deserve a week with you." He said with a devious smile on his face."Right. You won. But try to convince my boss." She smirked."I'm totally fine with it." Himchan came holding two plastic bags. Youngjae and Daehyun turned their eyes to her."Fuck." Katherine cursed. "Okay, you guys won! But what about Seolchan's school? I can't let him miss a week of school and I can't leave him alone.""Already called them, he will be coming with us." "Damn it!" She punched the table. ✮✮✢✮✮ And that's how Katherine ended up sitting in the car next to Himchan with a grumpy face on, while Seolchan was playing something on Daehyun's cell phone."Come on, Kate, it can not be that bad!" Yongguk said. He was wearing stylish sunglasses, which made him hot as hell with a black wife beater and some shorts."I hate sun, I hate so much sand going on prohibited places and most of all; I. Hate. Beaches." She said like an old ahjumma."But why do you used to take to the beach almost every week, mommy?" Seolchan asked. Yongguk looked at her with a see-even-the-kiddo-now-stop-being-old-and-smile. Katherine rolled her eyes and looked at the window. She was remembering about her times in America, yes, indeed, she would take Seolchan almost every week to the beach, because it was in the beach her last moments with Himchan, because somehow, she felt that somewhere, across the sea, Himchan was there. "We've arrived!" Daehyun said with a smile planted on his face. Seolchan opened the car door quickly and ran until he reached the water."Waaaaaaah!" He yelled with a big smile, Katherine couldn't help but notice the glow in his eyes and smile a little. She opened the car door, taking a long glance at the house, it hasn't changed too much since the last visit with Himchan."Katey, can you make dinner? We will get the luggage to the rooms." Daehyun asked Katherine, who nodded and went to the kitchen, not before admiring once again the well chosen furniture.Katherine was boiling the water to make pasta, she was lost into her thoughts when Youngjae came."We have one more person coming tonight. You'll be happy to see her again." Youngjae started to make sauce, they heard a car engine turning off, he smiled and looked at her. "She's here!""Soo-yah!" Katherine froze when she  heard Daehyun called her best friendShe gulped and walked to the living room, where a very familiar blonde haired woman stood. Right! It was the woman from the enterprise, that girl didn't even said "thank you"...but she couldn't be Sooyoung, could she?"S-Sooyoung?" Katherine blinked twice, the lady approached Katherine, furrowed her eyebrows."Kate-Katherine?" "Soo-yah!" Katherine smiled , hugging tightly her best friend. Sooyoung was still."D-Don't touch me!" Sooyoung pushed Katherine, who stood there, with widened eyes and trembling hands. The air was thick, and everyone lowered their heads. Yongguk chewed on his lower lip, and pulled Katherine by her hand."Come on" Yongguk whispered and pulled her to the yard. Katherine was still surprised.He sighed heavily and looked at her. "I didn't tell you when you arrived because I was afraid of making you angry...But as you have seen... Sooyoung has changed... She's no longer your best friend...nor my girlfriend..." Katherine looked up at him. "Why did she?..." "I don't know either." He crossed his arms, looking at the sky."After we graduated, she kept pushing me away and after some months, I proposed... God, How I regret proposing her at such a public place." Yongguk ran his fingers through his hair. "She rejected me... Saying I was just a peasant, a dirty rat, a toy she used to play. And the she said that she was already an adult, and didn't play anymore." Katherine could hear his sniffles."How can she change that much?" "I don't know." Katherine back hugged him, deepening her head into his coat.While Katherine calmed Yongguk down, Himchan and Sooyoung were having a long talk."Why you act like that?" Himchan asked angry, pacing back and forth. Sooyoung was just sitting at the couch, with an arrogant face."Because they're all peasants!" She rolled her eyes."Don't! Do not say that!" He ruffled his hair angrily. "I can't understand that! You're all sweet with me and Daehyun, but you acted like an arrogant bitch back there!" "I am not polite with dirty rats." "You know what?! I'm going to take some fresh air!" He yelled and went to the kitchen, supporting himself in the counter.Youngjae watched with crossed arms as he friend punched the counter angrily."I told you so." Youngjae said. Himchan groaned and ruffled his messy hair again. "Katherine was her best friend for God's sake!" "People Change, Himchan, more than you think" "I know, okay? I just need to talk to her, I know she will be fine, it's still Sooyoung!"  ✮✮✢✮✮ Yongguk, Katherine and Youngjae were the only quiet people in the living room, Daehyun, Himchan, Jongup and Sooyoung were playing some kind of cards game, just like their teenager days. Seolchan was so tired that he was soundly asleep in the room upstairs. Youngjae whispered something to Katherine, making her laugh, and winning a glare from a jealously Himchan. Yongguk laughed and whispered something to the two, making them laugh even louder. Himchan glared them again, even more angry.Katherine poked Youngjae's arm and gestured something, making the three laugh even more if it was possible. Himchan groaned annoyed."Enough!  What's so funny?!" He yelled.Again the three laughed." Why are you so annoyed, Himchan?" Yongguk teased him, just for fun."Yeah! We're just having fun!" Youngjae played along. Katherine just laughed at her friends."Aish!" Himchan threw the cards in the floor and ruffled his hair. "Bang Yongguk, do you want to die?" Himchan yelled, Yongguk laughed and ran, Himchan followed him. Sooyoung glared Katherine who was laughing at the two, Daehyun noticed her glare and clapped his hands, earning everyone's attention. "Since it has been a long time since we played, how about a Truth or dare game?" He smirked."I'm in!" Youngjae sat beside Daehyun, Yongguk jumped over the couch and sat beside them."I don't think it's a good idea." Katherine murmured."Come on, Kate!" Jongup nagged her. "Okay, okay." She cursed in her head."Spin the bottle Jae-ah!" Daehyun smiled. Youngjae spun the bottle, which stopped in front of Katherine, who facepalmed."What the heck did I have to play?!" She yelled, making everyone laugh."Kate... Kiss Himchan!" Youngjae exclaimed, Daehyun clapped like a seal and laughed out loud, Jongup smiled. Katherine widened her eyes and hid her face in between her hands. Himchan smiled sheepishly and licked his lips. "I don't want to!!" "Coward!" Jongup stick his tongue at her. They heard footsteps and Seolchan appeared in the stair. "Mommy, I can't sleep." He rubbed his eyes cutely, earning some 'awn's from everyone. Katherine smiled."Aigooo, look like my son can't sleep because of our noise." She walked to the little boy and picked him up."Were we to loud, Seolchan-ah?" Daehyun approached the two and ruffled Seolchan's hair. The boy nodded and pouted. "Sorry, Seolchan-ah, your hyungs will be quiet now, okay?" Daehyun made a 'O.K' sign and Seolchan nodded again. Himchan ruffled his hair annoyed to see Katherine and Daehyun looking so close, it was almost like Daehyun was Seolchan's father by the way he acted so lovely with the boy."Annoyed aren't we?" Youngjae teased Himchan."Ani, no way!" Himchan went to his room, stomping heavily each step of the stair. "Don't mind him, PMS" Daehyun blinked and shook his head, Katherine and Seolchan laughed.
