Kyuhyun and Yesung (1/2)

“So what do you plan to do now?” Kyuhyun asked he gave Yesung’s string a look. Now there is only a single string with no attached or tangled strings.

“Actually I have decided that.... I want to go on a date with Kyuhyun!” Yesung exclaimed making other people look at them again.

Kyuhyun can feel again another tug in his string but he shook his head, “I don’t think we can.”

“Why? Is it because you already like someone?” Yesung sadly asked.

‘Actually I like you,’ Kyuhyun thought but said another thing, “You see our strings are not really connected to each other so...”

“I don’t care! I like you Kyuhyun... no... I love you!” Yesung said while staring at Kyuhyun’s eyes.

Kyuhyun can feel butterflies in his stomach again as his heart beat faster. Happiness overflowing in his body, ‘I love you too Yesung!’ was what he wanted to reply but what he said was, “I hope you can find your destined one without my help. I wish you luck”

He turned away facing the sunset a tear escaping his eye. Maybe just like what he thought before seeing that red strings do no good to him. Looking at his pinkie he can feel constriction in his heart because their strings are not connected. He doesn’t blame himself for falling in love with Yesung within a day so blames this stupid gift of him for making him closer to Yesung, the person that he fell in love with. Her sister and the couple in the cafe must have felt this way when they broke up with the one they thought to be their destined one. When he looked back he doesn’t see Yesung anymore making cry more. As tears fell from his face to the ground he continued walking aimlessly not knowing where he is going.

He was blankly staring at his string in front of him that he doesn’t realize it was already dark and that he was heading to the beach. With his puffy eyes he tried to scan the beach even though it was very dark because the clouds are blocking the moon. When the moon wasn’t blocked anymore he can perfectly see a silhouette of a person standing. He was about to walk the opposite direction but he suddenly felt a tug in his string as the man started shouting something he can’t hear because of their distance. When he looked at the red string of the person surprise was written all over his face. Finally, he saw the person destined to him with the proof of the string connecting the two of them.

Kyuhyun doesn’t know if he will go and meet that person since he already loves someone, Yesung. But then he remembered what Yesung once told him, ‘The greatest thing above all things is to love and be loved in return,’ he started running to that person finally hearing what the other person is shouting.

“I love you Cho Kyuhyun! I love you Cho Kyuhyun!” the husky baritone voice Kyuhyun learned to love this day echoed in the sea engulfing him. He smiled knowing who that person is. The man continued shouting unaware of Kyuhyun’s presence. “I love you Kyuhyun!”

Kyuhyun back hugged the other making him freeze, “I can perfectly hear you Yesung.”

Kyuhyun can feel tears fell on his arms that are hugging Yesung. Yesung held Kyuhyun’s arms, “I love you Kyuhyun, even if our stupid strings doesn’t connect with each other, even if you are not my destined one, I still love you because you are my true love!”

“I love you too Yesung,” Kyuhyun said while he turned Yesung around. Surprise was evident on the other’s face. Kyuhyun smiled and wiped Yesung’s tears, “You don’t need to worry about our strings they are connected with each other,” he smiled as he connected both their pinkies, string not visible anymore.

“But I thought...”

“It doesn’t matter anymore right?” Kyuhyun grinned.

“Yes, it doesn’t,” Yesung nodded and smiled, “I was right when I approached you in the cafe.”

“Yeah, thanks to your weird instinct that we are together now,” Kyuhyun playfully said.

“Hey! You’re weird too!”

“You are the only one who told me that I’m weird but it doesn’t matter. Weird is special.”

“Yes it does!” Yesung smiled before touching the face of the younger and then his philtrum.

“My, I really love you and your weirdness Yesung,” Kyuhyun sarcastically said making the two of them laugh.

“I love you too Kyuhyun,” Yesung said before kissing Kyuhyun on the lips.

Both of them are smiling when they kissed each other and deep inside Kyuhyun thanked his gift, to see the strings, for having this weird person that he loves, Yesung.
