Enjoy! :) Sun Hee POVEver since I agreed to work things out with Baekhyun, it seemed as if I felt whole again. Baek decided he wanted to move in to be closer to Min Jun, so I let him. He would always help out if he wasn’t busy and I was very appreciative of that. A month had passed and I had just finished up the final touches for Min Jun’s birthday party and was getting ready to head out to get decorations when Myung Seok finally called me.“H-hello?” I stuttered.“Sun Hee.. how have you been?”“I’ve been good Myung Seok. What’s with the phone call?”“I have really, really missed you. And I want to work it out, for Min Jun’s sake.”I felt my heart drop into my stomach when I heard him say that. Why is he saying this now when I’m so happy?“I don’t think I can do that.. I am very happy with how we are.”“You’re with Baekhyun, aren’t you?” He asked.“Is there a problem with that? He is Min Jun’s father.”“Just a few months ago, you were begging me to take you back. Now you’re dating the guy you cheated on me with? Wow Sun Hee.”“He makes me happy! He makes me feel good! And he’s so good with Min Jun…” I began raising my voice. “I don’t want to argue Myung Seok.. I just have a favor to ask.”“And what is that?” Myung Seok huffed.“Come to Min Jun’s 1st birthday party, just to show you still care for him. Please?”There was a short silence.“Okay. Message me the details and I’ll be there.” Myung Seok answered.“Thank you so much. I’ll talk to you later. I gotta do some more shopping for decorations.”“Alright.”Before hanging up, I heard him say ‘I love you’ then he ended the call. My heart felt like it dropped into my stomach after hearing those words. Minutes later, Baekhyun walked in the door with Min Jun. He kissed my forehead and put Min Jun in the living room to play.“I thought you were going to get stuff for the party..” Baek said.“I was on my way out then I got a phone call. I’ll see you when I get back.” I said, kissing his lips before walking out the door.I met Hye Jung at the store and she greeted me with a hug. We began to walk around and pick up what I needed. But the whole time, I didn’t feel like I was fully there.“Hello? Earth to Sun Hee.” Hye Jung snapped her fingers in front of my face.I blinked my eyes and looked at her.“What?” I asked, lost.“You okay?”“I don’t really know.”“What’s going on?”I sighed.“Myung Seok called me finally. He wanted to work things out.. and it made me feel so confused.”“Well, do you want to work things out with him?”“No. I’ve moved on with Baek.”“Well then there’s nothing to be confused about.”“I don’t know, Hye Jung. When he said ‘I love you’ before hanging up, my heart fluttered.”“Oh, Sun Hee. He hasn’t talked to you in months and now he loves you again? I don’t believe it.”“I guess that makes sense. Let’s keep shopping.” I said with a smile. Later That Night…After putting Min Jun to sleep for the night, Baekhyun and I started winding down for the night and laid in bed. He wrapped his arms around me to cuddle and kissed my neck.“You okay babe?” He asked.“Yeah. What makes you ask that?”“You looked distraught earlier today when you were leaving today. And you’ve been really distant ever since you got home. You know you can tell me anything.”I turned around to face him and sighed deeply.“He called me before you walked in.”“Who?”“Myung Seok..”I felt Baek tense up when I mentioned his name. He pulled away from me to sit up and I followed suit.“What did he want?” Baekhyun said, slightly annoyed.“Don’t get mad, okay?”“I promise. Now, tell me.”“He wants to get back together and wants to be in Min Jun’s life. But I told him that I’m with you and we’re happy. He wasn’t happy about that. But when I was about to hang up, he said that he loves me. And that has just had me frazzled all day.”Baekhyun’s face completely changed. I could see that he was becoming angry.“Is he fucking crazy?”“You said you wouldn’t get mad!”“Well, I lied. How can he leave you and then a few months later want you back? That doesn’t make any sense to me.”“I don’t know..”“Do you want him back? Do you still love him?”My eyes widened.“No! Absolutely not!”“Well, then why would you not tell me as soon as it happened? Were you thinking about taking him back?”“No. I didn’t tell you right away because I knew you would be upset.”“Well, I’m even more upset. How are we going to make us work if you’re keeping secrets?”“I’m sorry. I just didn’t want our conversation to go the same way it’s going now. It wasn’t intentional.”Baek sighed.“It’s okay babe. Just don’t keep anything from me.”He kissed my forehead and laid back down with his back facing me.“I forgot one thing..” I stuttered.“What’s that?”“He’s coming to Min Jun’s party.. just be cordial, okay?”“Yeah sure. Good night Sun Hee.”I kissed his shoulder and went to sleep. One Week Later….The party was running smoothly and everyone was having a good time. Baekhyun and I took pictures with Min Jun in our hanboks, and had Min Jun participate in Dojalbi to determine his future. I was exceptionally happy when he didn’t pick up the microphone and chose a soccer ball instead. After all the activities, I went to change clothes and interact with all of the guests. Baekhyun was by my side the whole time and everyone seemed very receptive of our relationship, except for Myung Seok. He was staring Baekhyun down every chance he got. Baek would tense up whenever he looked over in his direction, but I would reassure him and calm him down. Min Jun teetered over to me and I picked him up to hold him. Baekhyun brushed Min Jun’s hair back and gave him a kiss on his forehead, leading Min Jun to smile and giggle. Then, Myung Seok jumped out of his seat and rushed over to where we were standing.“Can I talk to you for a minute?” He whispered in my ear.“Yeah sure.”I handed Min Jun to Baek and went off to the side with Myung Seok.“What’s the problem?” I asked, annoyed.“This.. you and him. I don’t like it. Especially around our friends and family.”“It’s fine, Myung Seok. No one even cares anymore. They are actually happy for us.”“The divorce isn’t even finalized yet!”He began to raise his voice, causing Baek to look over in our direction and walk towards us.“Is everything okay?” Baek wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my temple.“Yeah everything is…”“No, everything is not okay.” Myung Seok cut me off.“What’s your problem then?”“You stole my wife, got her pregnant, and now you guys are a couple even though our divorce isn’t final. That’s my problem.”“Okay, but you couldn’t wait until another time to discuss this? You had to do this now at our son’s birthday party?”I could see the anger building up in Baek’s face.“Oh so now he’s your son? I don’t remember you being there when he was born or those first few months after. That’s right, Sun Hee kept you away.”Baekhyun lunged towards Myung Seok and grabbed him by his shirt.“Baek stop!! This is not the right time nor place to be acting like this.”Baekhyun let go of Myung Seok’s shirt and stormed off. I tried to go after him but Myung Seok grabbed my arm and turned me towards.“Let me go Myung Seok… why would you say that to him?”“I’m angry Sun Hee!! He took you away from me and you had his baby. You were my wife, my everything.. and he took that from me.” Myung Seok ranted tearfully.I started to tear up a little bit and all the regret from breaking Myung Seok’s heart came back.“I’m sorry.. I really am. Temptation got the best of me and blinded me. I wish I could take everything back that happened but I can’t. And I hate to say this but I love Baekhyun a lot. He understands me so well and he treats me like a queen. And I didn’t want to lose that. And it hurt you in the end. I just hope one day maybe you and I can be friends again.”“I don’t think so, Sun Hee. But I wish you guys the best.”Myung Seok walked off and I stood there in tears. Hye Jung walked over to hug and comfort me. I told her what happened and she suggested that I stay at her and Hyung Sik’s apartment to let Baekhyun cool off. I agreed and after the party was done and everything was cleaned up, I grabbed mine and Min Jun’s things and headed over to Hye Jung’s place. Baekhyun POVEveryone gathered around the grill at the BBQ place, drinking their drinks and waiting for the food to be done.“I have never seen you get that angry.” Chanyeol said.“I don’t think any of us have. What ticked you off?” Suho asked.I sighed heavily.“He just said something that really got to me. I was trying to be supportive of Sun Hee’s wishes to be cordial with him and he got under my skin.”“What did he say?” Jongin asked.“He basically said he doesn’t remember me being there for Min Jun’s birth so I shouldn’t call myself his father.”“What a fucking idiot! I don’t blame you for almost beating him up.” Jongdae responded.“I just love that little boy so much and I would do anything for him, yet my fatherhood was questioned.”“We all know that Baekhyun. But, you need to see about Sun Hee. She looked really upset when you stormed out.” Min Seok said.“I just want to give her some time. She’s never seen me that angry. But I will talk to her.” The Next Day… Sun Hee POVI packed up Min Jun and I’s things from Hye Jung’s house to get ready to head back to my apartment. I was still so concerned about Baek since he hadn’t contacted me. I was starting to think he was mad at me for putting him in that situation but I felt that it was right to have Myung Seok there. Hye Jung was playing with Min Jun when I told her it was time for us to go.“Let me know how everything goes, if you see him.” Hye Jung said while hugging me goodbye.“I will. Thank you so much for letting us stay the night here.”“Anytime. Make sure you call me later.”Min Jun gave her a quick hug and waved goodbye as we walked out of the door. I put our things in the trunk of my car, buckled Min Jun in and headed over to the apartment. It took only 15 minutes to get home and my heart was racing a little. I picked up Min Jun and our things and got on the elevator to head upstairs. Once we got off the elevator, we walked to the door and I could hear Baekhyun talking on the phone with someone. I unlocked the door and walked in and Min Jun instantly ran to Baekhyun. He looked down and smiled.“Hey Chanyeol, let me call you back.” Baek hung up the phone.I walked past him and put Min Jun’s things in his room and I put my things away in my room. Baek walked in and kissed my neck while wrapping his arms around me. I brushed him off.“Sun Hee, I’m sorry.”“You acting like that really upset and embarrassed me. I have never seen you that angry. And you didn’t call me at all so I was worried about you.”“Baby I’m sorry. He just pissed me off with what he said and I lost my cool.”“You shouldn’t have gotten that upset. You know he’s just being spiteful because of his feelings and what’s going on between us.”“And being spiteful is an okay thing to brush off? Sun Hee, he basically said I wasn’t a father because I wasn’t there for the birth and the first few months. How can I not get upset?”“I’m not saying to brush it off. I’m just saying you should have calmly dealt with it. Baek, I don’t want to argue about this. Let’s just drop it. I’m over it now.”“Fine.. I won’t bring it up again.”

Baekhyun POVLater on that night, I was getting ready for bed and turned off the light. I was still upset with Sun Hee and didn’t wait for her to come to bed. As I laid down, I heard her footsteps come to the door and the door creaked open. She went into the bathroom to get ready for bed and came out a few moments later.“Did Min Jun go to sleep okay?” I asked.“Yeah, he fell asleep pretty quick tonight.” Sun He responded.“Good.”I felt movement in the bed, signaling that she had got in and was getting comfortable. Moments of silence passed and I was just about to fall asleep when Sun Hee spoke up.“I know you’re still upset.”“I’m fine babe. Let’s drop it.”“You usually wait up for me before going to bed. Tonight you didn’t. So it must be because you’re upset.”“I just wanted you to understand where I was coming from about Myung Seok. Like that really put me on edge.”“I know that hurt you Baek. But he’s not worth all that anger. You’re here with us now, not him.”Sun Hee wrapped her arms around my torso and kissed my back. I turned over and pulled her into my chest, kissing her forehead.“You always say the right things. And I love you for that.”“I love you too. And I’m sorry that I didn’t understand your feelings.”“No, I’m sorry for upsetting you on such a big day. I promise to never let that happen again.”“Thank you for that. Now let’s get some sleep.”
