The Wall Between Us - Cha (1/1)
Sunggyu was shocked at the accusation until he saw a file thrown on to the ground at his feet. The file containing documents about his identity which were supposed to be kept secret. Sunggyu let out a small sigh of defeat. It was all coming to an end now. "I've underestimated you," he admitted.Sungyeol smirked at him. "I know," he replied. "In everyone's eyes, I was just a babysitter for the bratty young master, while you were the clan's right hand man." He glared at Sunggyu with hatred in his eyes. "You were perfect in everything you did, rising up in the ranks so quickly. So much so that the boss trusted you with everything."Sungyeol paused a moment to laugh. "That old fool," he said. "I can't wait to see his reaction when he finds out that he's been harbouring a rat for ten long years."Sunggyu was surprised to know that Sungyeol had yet to inform the boss. "You haven't told him?""After I kill you, I'll present him with your head," replied Sungyeol. "That will teach the old fool to trust cops.""You think you can kill me?" asked Sunggyu.Sungyeol shrugged. "It won't hurt to try," he replied. "Besides, if you don't die, your lover boy will get lonely waiting for you in hell."Sunggyu narrowed his eyes and glared at Sungyeol. "What have you done to him?"Sungyeol laughed. "I knew that would get you fired up.""It was you?" asked Sunggyu. "You sent those men to kidnap him?""A man without a weakness is a dangerous man with nothing to lose," said Sungyeol. "That was what I thought you were, until I found out about him. Don't worry, you'll be seeing him soon enough."
Upon Sungyeol's orders, the men fired at Sunggyu. With his sword in hand, Sunggyu was able to deflect some shots aimed at him, however he could not avoid them all. Several shots struck in in the chest. He ignored the blood that gushed out from his wound as he swiftly attacked his enemies, striking several of them down before they could fire at him.
Sungyeol stood aside and watched as Sunggyu fought desperately while bleeding profusely from his wounds. He smiled when he saw a bullet hit Sunggyu's shoulder, making him drop the sword in his hand. The remaining men closed in on Sunggyu, seeing him unarmed. As they were about to finish him off, Sunggyu drew out his gun and fired at the group. Each shot killed their target.
The few men who managed to avoid Sunggyu's bullets stepped back. Sunggyu gathered all his strength to remain standing but the amount of blood pouring out made it hard to do so."Such weaklings," said Sungyeol growing tired of watching.
Sunggyu turned to see Sungyeol charging at him so he aimed his gun and fired, only to realise that he had no more bullets left. But it was too late. He felt the sharp blade pierce his stomach as Sungyeol plunged the sword deeper. Blood poured out of Sunggyu's mouth as he looked down and at his own sword in his stomach. Sungyeol smirked and with hands still gripping the sword tight, he twisted it, making sure to cause as much pain as possible to the man he hated so much.
Sungyeol laughed seeing Sunggyu suffer. He twisted the blade again and again until the sound of his phone interrupted him. Without much care, Sungyeol pulled the blade out as Sunggyu collapsed to the ground. Sungyeol glanced at the name on his phone before answering it."He'd better be dead this time!" said Sungyeol."You're under arrest," said an unfamiliar voice on the end of the line. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Author's note:Next chapter will be the end.
