Final: Part Two (1/1)
Taemin felt something inside of him break as Kai's body fell to the ground, lifeless eyes staring at the ceiling as shouts rang out all around. He could see the two strangers who had come with Kai struggling against some Fae, trying to reach the dias, but Taemin ignored everything as he dropped to his knees beside Kai. The tears were falling freely as he sobbed out his heart, knowing that Kai had died for him. He felt a rough grip on his arm, yanking him to his feet, and found himself face to face with Lo'gann. The Prince's face was livid as he focused on Taemin's face, madness shining in his eyes. "You chose him? Over me?!"In a ridiculous sense, Taemin could suddenly understand why the Prince was so angry. He felt betrayed by the person he loved. Tenderly Taemin reached out to cup the Prince's face, and leaned close to say, "I have never loved you. I will never love you. And I will never be yours." And with that he turned back toward Kai's body to cradle his head, determined to find a way back to Earth to give Kai a proper burial.Something caught his eye from the doorway, though, and he paused when he saw every Fae there suddenly drop to their faces, fully prostrate on the floor in honor of a new arrival. Kai's friends didn't care and rushed for the body, but Taemin couldn't help but pause as he saw a large white deer standing there, deep red antlers shining as brightly as fresh blood, the color reflected in his eyes. He was majestic, with a power radiating from him as he stepped into the room. Taemin felt frozen as he made his way to the dias until he stood face to face with Taemin, and in a split second where the deer had stood was a tall, pale man, his blood red hair a close resemblance to his son Lo'gann's.Taemin bowed his head in respect for the King of the Fae, but King Coel ignored him and turned to his son. "Lo'gann," he said, and the Prince flinched at the disapproval in his father's voice.
