JIYONG'S POV"Yah Ji! Hey, earth to Jiyong! Helloooooo?"I was out with Dara's brother-in-law Seunghyun, helping him out pick wine and champagne for tonight. It's Dara's parents' 30th anniversary."Mianhe hyung, Did you say something?""I've been trying to get your attention for the past 20 minutes. I was asking you which of these champagne should we choose. What's eating you?"I shake my head. "Nothing hyung. I just got a lot on my mind lately.""I'm guessing champagne is not one of them.""Mianhe hyung. I kinda like beer better.""I know. Why do you think I dragged you to help me choose the drinks for tonight?""Because my car has more room?"Seunghyun chuckled. I met Seunghyun after me and Dara started dating 3 years ago. He's married to Dara's sister Bom. Who knows, if things go according to the plan, he might become my brother-in-law too."Yah, there's only six of us tonight. I don't think we're gonna need that many drinks."Seunghyun goes towards one of the racks and picks up an expensive looking bottle."What about this?""I think that's a good choice hyung.""So, what's new with you?""Nothing much. Just busy with work."We walked around the liquor store for 20 more minutes. We left the store after buying 2 bottles of champagne and 2 bottles of Moscato D' Asti, Dara's favorite wine. As we made our way to my car, I turned to Seunghyun and asked."Hyung, is it ok if we stop somewhere before going back to your house?""Sure, we got time. Party doesn't start till 7 tonight."They stopped at a store and Seunghyun was shocked at the store sign. "Wow, really? Tonight? Damn, I lost the bet with Bom. I thought she was crazy for thinking you were going to propose soon." Seunghyun chuckles. "Eh...but then again I married a wise woman. Bom is almost always right. Don't tell her I said that."I smiled. When we first met, I never thought me and Seunghyun hyung would become friends. My first impression of him was 'what planet did he come from?' But seeing him with Bom noona and how he treats the rest of the family, I've come to really admire him. He worships the ground Bom noona walks on. You can see the love they have for each other. I hope someday, me and Dara will be like them."Actually I bought the ring two weeks ago. When they called today to tell me it was ready, I took it as a sign.""Pretty gutsy move, picking the ring without her."Uh oh...did I make a mistake? No. I feel that this is the right thing to do."I saw the wedding magazines in the apartment and I took pics of the stuff she earmarked. You know I think the organizing gene is in that family. It wasn't that hard to see which ones she wanted. I figured, if she doesn't like it, we can always have it re-set.""Sweet. Seems like you've thought about it for awhile. You really love her, huh.""Yes. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me.""So when are you going to pop the question?""I was thinking of doing it tonight. After the party. I  don't wanna steal her parents' thunder so I was thinking on the way home, we can stop by that overlook where I first asked her out to be my girl and propose there. Do you think that's ok?""I think that might work.""How did you propose to Bom noona hyung?""Oh, I took her to her favorite restaurant which is a rare treat since it's an expensive place. She kept expecting something all night but was disappointed. I mean, I did take her to the jewelry store but I didn't say anything. I feel kinda bad but my baby is so cute when she's pouting." Seunghyun gets a goofy grin on his face, "Anyways, we were strolling through the park and as we neared her favorite fountain, I pretended to trip. When she turned around, I had the ring box open in my hand.""Did you have to the on bended knee thing?""Yeah. I know it's a bit cliche but Bom loved it.""I have to make sure I remember that then.""Don't worry. When the right time comes, whatever you do will be what's right for you.""God I hope so."I love Dara with all my heart. Since I first met her, I knew I was a goner. She is everything I've ever wanted in a woman and more. I know I've probably been disappointing her, whenever I cancel dates and not call her often. But it's just because seeing her has been too much of a temptation. My heart overflows and it makes me want to tell her all my plans to propose before I even had the ring. I do hope she'll forgive me for distancing myself lately. Dara, my love wait for me."It will be fine. Just look at their parents, They didn't have the grand wedding and their honeymoon was a nightmare but here we are 30 years later, and they're still as inlove as when they first met. You've got to admit, when a Park loves, it's forever."What hyung said was true. And that's what I want for me and Dara. An everlasting love. I just need to make sure I don't mess up the proposal.The guy at the jewelry store finally came with my ring. I made sure it was the right one before I put the little blue box in my pocket. I really hope everything goes well today. I can't wait to see my baby girl's face when I give her the ring tonight.
