"If you are chronically down, it is a lifelong fight to keep from sinking," You’ll never believe it but, here I was, standing confidently in front of the place. I doubled checked the address. I’ve arrived at some centre sort of place―in fact the place where my horror will began. Where I will start coming and wasting three hours every two days in a week. My counselling sessions that my mom signed me up for.I was successfully convinced to go because of Baekhyun. He promised me that I’ll be better, character-wise after the sessions. I didn’t believe him so, I’ll prove to him that those sessions will not be of any benefit. If I succeed in proving to him, my mom has also agreed that she’ll stop signing me up for those things. I let out a sigh and huff before trudging towards the counter and giving them my documents. They took a look and observed it before passing it back to me and directing me to a room. I stood outside, hesitating whether to knock on the door or to sprint out of the corridor and escape when I still had the chance to. There was a big board that wrote ‘Mrs. Victoria Lee’. I frowned upon seeing the name; realizing she probably was a foreigner. I promise you, Jin. I promise you you’ll be fine. I mustered up all my courage before bringing my fist up and giving it a few knocks before pushing the door open.Indeed, a foreigner sat in the middle comfortably in her office chair. She was clearly an American and I didn’t like her at all, not even a tiny bit. She directed her gaze at me, scanning me from head to toe before gesturing for me to have a seat in front of her. Having known that the counselling sessions would be conducted individually is much worse caused me to feel nervous.“Good morning, miss Han.” Her voice was laden with thick accent that caused me to flinched. I was quite flabbergasted by the fact that she could speak Korean but her accent was horrible. Her voice was too. She flipped through the pages of my documents before eyeing me while playing with her fingers. “Why’d you think your parents signed you up for these sessions?” she threw me a challenging question all of a sudden.Well, that’s a great question. I’ll ask them for the answer later.I didn’t reply her but stared back at her, leaning back at the leather chair, trying to make myself as comfortable as ever since it was going to last for quite a while. “Well…alright then, Let’s officially begin with today’s session,” she spoke patiently, but I knew she was losing her patience.“I see that you have some problems with your character,” she indirectly insulted, causing me to give her a glare. She focused on me but I didn’t felt like talking. I just accepted her insult and kept silent. And how is these sessions beneficial again?“You need to talk for us to help you,”I shrugged impassively while avoiding her eyes, taking the good opportunity to look around the room and remember the surroundings since I’ll be here for quite a while. I could hear her whispering some curses, making me think how she had problems with her character too. She didn’t have the rights to say about me.“Also, I heard from your mother that you threw our letter away and spent the fees for these sessions on food,” she added. I frowned upon hearing that. My mom needs to stop telling everything to everybody, I wasn’t fond of that. “And you still can’t understand what I meant when I did those things?” I finally spoke in a rude tone, obviously annoyed by how she was speaking. She seemed astounded for a moment, hearing my voice but in reality, I was too. It was strange hearing my voice after I kept quiet for a period of time. “So…I see you’re not a mute,” she laughed at her own joke which caused me to raise a brow. I’ll be one from now onwards. Someone needs to save me from this place. The next thing I did, I made myself more comfortable by lifting my legs up on the seat and putting my chin on my knees. I hugged my knees while my eyes just stared at the clock, waiting for the three hours to pass. It wouldn’t be that hard since I had always done that in school, not paying attention to anything the teachers said. Besides, I didn’t have any friends to talk to in school. I’m good at being quiet.“You’ll need a lot more sessions in the future, miss Han,” she deliberately emphasised on the words ‘a lot’, making me throw her a deathly glare. With the last tick of the clock, I stood up from the chair and showed her a middle finger which she deserved before walking out of the room. I kicked the door to close it, causing a loud slam to be heard. I walked down the corridor before my footsteps came to a halt when I spotted a familiar figure. It was that guy. What was his name again? He was walking towards my direction, looking down while using his phone. Even though he was wearing a black snapback down to cover his face, I could still recognize him for some reasons. Maybe it was because of his figure―a long body with slim legs and skinny top body. I figured out he was some dancer since his body looked perfect for one. I didn’t even noticed that I stopped walking to look at him as he came closer and closer, not even realizing my presence. When he stopped walking, he looked up just to come face-to-face with me. My eyes met his dark orbs’ gaze. I was tongue-tied when I got a clear view of his face. His brown fringe was slightly tickling his eyes but his burning stare could clearly be made out. His eyes were twinkling and it was unreadable. His plumps lips remained, not moving as he stared back at me. He raised a brow at how I was acting before his lips stretched to a small smirk as he brushed past me coolly.I snapped back into reality when I turned around, realizing that he was no longer in sight. But then, why would a celebrity be in a counselling centre? Does he attend counselling too? I literally chortle at myself for coming up with such a ridiculous situation. I mean, why would a celebrity come for counselling. That’s just, absurd.“Jin! How is it?”I heard Baekhyun’s voice followed by footsteps as he came running to me. The smile of his never left his face as he crouched down to catch his breath. “Are you alright? How is it?” he asked again as I forced a smile out. I need to act fine and good to make him think that I did a wonderful job. Then I will be able to get out from these sessions. I was prepared to play a two-face role from today onwards.“They’re great. I learnt new things,” I responded. When Baekhyun heard my reply, he beamed as he instantly threw his arm around my shoulder, weighing me down.“That’s good news! Let’s go out for lunch together. You need to share with me what you learnt,” he sang as he pulled me along with him to go out from the centre. I hurriedly took one last glance behind me to check for any signs of that previous guy before I got pulled out by Baekhyun.
