What just happened? (1/2)

Changsun smiled, looking directly back at Cheolyong when he said, “It’s a high possibility, yes.”

Cheolyong gave Changsun a halfhearted smile, “Well... Now I wish that things would have gone differently...” Cheolyong sighed and ran his hand through his hair, hissing when he hit it wrong. Cheolyong looked over at his phone when it vibrated, eyes widening when he realized who it was.

Cheolyong snatched up his phone and opened it, groaning when he saw that Greg had texted him 10 times. “Fuck my life...” Cheolyong apologized to his new found friend and explained that he had just gotten sidetracked and had left his phone in his room.

Cheolyong shut his phone and looked over at Changsun, “Sorry about that, I made a new friend while I was out today, and he was worried because I hadn’t texted him back..”

Changsun glanced over at the phone, and then at Cheolyong. “You gave your number out to a stranger?” he asked, and then immediately wished he’d forced Cheolyong into his car-- because this is exactly what he didn’t want to happen.

Cheolyong smiled, “Yeah, and I’m going out with him tomorrow...” Cheolyong bit his lip nervously, “You’re not mad at me are you Hyung..?”

Changsun pulled his hand over his face, leaning back into the headboard again. “You don’t even know this guy! He could be an undercover reporter, or after your money, or even an anti. It’s... it’s dangerous, Cheolyong!”

Cheolyong smiled at Changsun affectionately, “So tell me hyung, I’m supposed to be terrified of everyone..? Not make any new friends or potential boyfriends because I’m famous..? Thank you, for caring about me Sunnie hyung, but I’m not going to give up my life for any reason.”

Cheolyong grabbed Changsun’s hand, “See, you’re lucky. You’ve managed to have a relationship within our band, I’m not so lucky hyung, and I’m not going to be that lucky.”

Changsun sighed, looking down at their hands with a clearly upset expression. “That’s not what I’m saying,” he said, voice low as he struggled to put together his words. “You just met him tonight, and while you were upset, and you don’t even know him... Just because you haven’t been lucky with this band doesn’t mean you won’t find luck elsewhere... with other people in this business. I just... be careful, Cheolyong. Please?”

Cheolyong smiled and pulled Changsun into him for a hug, “I will Changsun Hyung, and thank you for worrying... I’ll be okay though... Alright..?” Cheolyong pulled away and caught eyes with Changsun, smile leaving his face immediately as his heart clenched in pain. ‘He’ll never be mine..’

Changsun pretended not to notice the disappearing smile and punched Cheolyong playfully in the shoulder. “You let me know if I have to kick his ass, okay? I may not be able to beat up a demon for you, but I’ll kill him in a heartbeat if I have to.” He was one-hundred percent serious as he said this-- he really would hurt anyone that hurt Cheolyong.

Cheolyong sighed and rubbed his arm, “Okay Changsun hyung... I’ll let you know mkaii..?” Cheolyong smiled and looked down at his hands, “It’s getting late hyung, and as much as I’d love to spend the night with you, I doubt you’d want to do the same with me..” Cheolyong laughed sadly, “So... Goodnight..?”

Changsun reached out and pulled Cheolyong into a tight hug, squeezing him warmly and closing his eyes as he did so. “Sorry,” he murmured, not releasing his band mate. “I couldn’t stop myself, I don’t like that I’m hurting you... I want to kick my own ass.”

Cheolyong hugged Changsun back, arms winding around his neck and squeezing him tightly. “Don’t worry about me Changsun hyung. I’ll be okay...” He closed his eyes and leaned his head against Changsun’s, “I’m going to try and get over you Changsun, or both of our sanity’s...”

Cheolyong gave Changsun another squeeze, “Forgive me for this Changsun but... I love you..”

Changsun shivered, butterflies erupting in his stomach at such an alarming intensity that he was more than surprised by them. He forced himself away, fearful that he’d do something that would hurt them both.

“Sleep well, Cheolyong,” he said quickly, standing up from the bed and giving a little wave before disappearing out of the room.

Cheolyong smiled and laid back down into the bed, pulling his blankets up to his chin with a sigh, what on earth was wrong...

-Later that Night-

Cheolyong sat up, a scream ripping from his throat as he felt hands run down his entire body. Cheolyong backed up against his bed, pulling his knees to his chest as he gasped for air, tears running down his cheeks.

Cheolyong rolled off his bed and scrambled to the door, wrenching it open in hopes of getting away from whatever had been touching him. As soon as Cheolyong made it to the doorway, a pressure squeezed his ankles, similar to that of hands. In surprise and fear, Cheolyong grasped the doorway, nails meeting wood as he struggled against the demon's strength.

Cheolyong struggled for a good second before he was pulled back into his room, another scream tearing from his chest when his face hit the floor with a crunch. Cheolyong watched as the doorway shrunk, the demon putting distance between him and the door until his feet met the bed.

The door slammed loudly as the grip on his ankles released. Cheolyong heard an eerie whisper of his name and then the suffocating presence was gone.

Changsun hadn’t been asleep. He’d had far too much on his mind to even consider sleeping, so when he heard Cheolyong’s scream it didn’t take long for him to fly into the hall. He saw Cheolyong’s hands gripping the door frame, nails splintering the wood from the strength of his hold. As Changsun started down the hallways, Cheolyong’s hands disappeared and just as Changsun reached his room the door slammed in his face.

Changsun grabbed the handle and twisted it frantically, knowing something was wrong and needing to be inside that room. However, no matter how hard he twisted or jiggled the door handle, it wouldn’t budge for at least a whole minute. Perhaps the longest minute of Changsun’s life.

Alas, it did open, and Changsun nearly ripped the door from its hinges barging into Cheolyong’s room with as much urgency as he did. He found Cheolyong laying on the floor, bloodied and crying, and was kneeling at his side in two long strides.

Cheolyong grasped onto Changsun, not even stopping to register who it was. All Cheolyong cared about was that there was an actual person there, and not some blood crazy demon.

Cheolyong buried his face into Changsun’s chest, tears and sobs attacking his body violently. “It.. It grabbed me... It.. Oh god..” Cheolyong’s fingers tightened in the fabric of Changsun’s shirt, too in shock to even feel the pain.

Cheolyong looked up at Changsun, heart fluttering in his chest as he caught sight of his love. “Hyung.. I’m scared..”

Changsun was not hesitant in wrapping Cheolyong up in a secure hug, his large arms enveloping the smaller male almost completely. “Shh, it’s gone now,” he cooed, trying to get Cheolyong to calm down. “It’s okay, it’s gone.”

Cheolyong shivered, head shaking at Changsun’s words. “It’s not gone Hyung.. It’s going to come back.. It’s going to hurt me again... It’s going to touch me Changsun hyung...”

Cheolyong sobbed, “I can feel it... It’s still here and I can feel it watching me..” Cheolyong bit his lip as he nuzzled his face in Changsun’s chest, “Please don’t leave me Hyung.. I don’t want to be alone..”

Chills ran down Changsun’s spine, but he resisted the shiver. He wouldn’t let Cheolyong know that his words frightened Changsun, too. “Alright, I won’t leave you. I promise.”

He could have considered going and getting Byunghee, or Seungho, or even Sanghyun to keep Cheolyong company instead of him-- but the thought didn’t even cross his mind. He was the one who was going to comfort Cheolyong. He was going to keep him company. He would stay with him tonight.

Changsun pulled away a little, taking Cheolyong’s hands in his and flattening them so that he could look them over. The cuts from before on his palms were bleeding again, and two or three nails from each hand had been completely ripped off. All of them were bleeding. He tutted his teeth his dismay, unable to imagine how painful that must be.

Cheolyong followed Changsun’s eyes and movements, gasping as the pain hit him full force. Cheolyong ripped his hand away and held it to himself, fresh tears spilling over at the pain.

“Changsun hyung... It hurts...”

Changsun moved his hands to grip Cheolyong’s biceps comfortingly. “Come on, let’s go to the bathroom and clean this up really quick.”

Cheolyong nodded and stood, legs feeling like jelly as he attempted to stay upright. “Hyung.. I don’t understand..” Cheolyong didn’t know how the demon gained so much power or why it decided to attack him tonight, but Cheolyong was going to go crazy trying to figure it out.
