"Half-brothers?" Junhyung asked, now curious.
"Oh, since you guys would try to find out eventually..." She rolled her eyes. "My dad was in an affair with my mother and technically, I'm the illegitimate child."
"Doesn't seem like it." Yoseob arched his eyebrows.
"Maybe you should stop speculating things." Eunjae's eyes turned into slits, her voice becoming dangerous. Yoseob's eyes widened in genuine fear this time as opposed to before. She stood up and walked to the other side of the room.
"Well, we know where you got your boyishness from." Dongwoon chuckled nervously, trying to avoid an awkward situation. Eunjae looked back and smiled a little.
"Well, not my hair, but yeah, I'm pretty much a guy." She shrugged.
"Your hair isn't the only thing." Junhyung snickered. Eunjae let out a small laugh when she got it. Just then, Kikwang walked inside the room.
"You're alright? Good. Emergency meeting. Now, let's go."<u>Incheon</u>Eunjae got back from Gyeongju, tired and unhappy. She looked at the time. Eleven forty-five. Man, it was late.
She knew the boys were having early another schedule and would be sleeping, so she used the spare set of keys they'd given her to let herself in.
When she got in, she saw Yongguk in front of the kitchen, looking surprised at first, but extremely relieved after that.
"Hey, you're okay." He smiled gently. Eunjae arched her eyebrows questioningly.
"Ah, Kikwang called your brother and told him that you'd passed out, and that we have to take care of you when you get back-"
"Thanks, Bang, but I can take care of myself." Eunjae grinned toothily.
"Alright then. Just wake up Jongup, he's sleeping on the sofa. Night." Yongguk waved and walked off to his room. Eunjae walked to the living room and found her brother fast asleep on the sofa. She chuckled upon seeing his expression.
"Jongup-ah~" She giggled, poking him softly. If there was anyone who could make her act like a girl, it was her younger brother.
"Uh- noona~" He pouted cutely, and Eunjae couldn't help but pinch his cheeks.
"Let's go, sleepy head." Eunjae pulled him to his feet and pushed him towards his room. Jongup had surprised everyone by putting on a few inches, and now he was as tall as his sister. Eunjae smiled, remembering how short he used to be.
However, Jongup had other ideas. He took a small detour and ended up falling on Eunjae's bed.
"Jongup-"
"I'm sleeping with noona..." He mumbled, sounding half dead already. Eunjae gave up and flopped on the bed next to him. She knew what would happen next.
Jongup wrapped his hands around her and hugged her tightly. Eunjae gasped for air – Jongup seemed to always forget that he was a boy and she, a girl, and even though she was strong, he was stronger.
"Loosen your grip-" She choked.
"Sorry." He smiled cutely and loosened his grip.
"You're such a baby." Eunjae giggled, stroking his hair.
"Only for my noona." He stuck his tongue out. They lay down in silence for a while.
"Remember when the four of us would be together like this?" Eunjae sighed after a while.
"Yeah, with Jaekyung hyung and Junwoo hyung..." Jongup smiled sadly.
"I miss umma and appa..." Eunjae sighed again. Jongup hugged her more tightly to show that he understood."What are we doing?" Eunjae asked as she walked alongside Kikwang to a conference room.
"We've got a problem. It's pretty big, and this calls for a decision." Kikwang mumbled as he walked into the room where everyone else was already assembled.
"So the problem is that we have no more clues at the moment." Doojoon sighed.
"I knew it." Junhyung mumbled under his breath.
"We've done all we could, but there's no evidence at both location, and we've done all the investigation to the maximum of our ability. Now we have to come to a decision." Doojoon looked around gravely.
"...looks like we have no choice then." Jaejoong exhaled heavily.
"There are no more clues?" Eunjae arched her eyebrows.
"When we'd done a small investigation of the Colorado Bay Hotel before, one of the staff had mysteriously left after that." Jina stated. "A young girl with brown hair and hazel eyes. But the thing is that we can't find any records in the hotel. They've been removed."
"She was new. Wasn't she?" Dongwoon asked.
"Mm hmm. Housekeeping. What does that tell you?" Kikwang arched his eyebrows at the group.
"She was one of the murderers..." Eunjae said quietly.
"Most likely." Yoseob nodded.
"We sent a search team there while you were unconscious." Doojoon spoke up again. "And when we asked them to check the room again, they found housekeeping clothes covered with blood in the ventilation."
"Analysis showed that it was the blood of the victims. No fingerprints were found." Kikwang sighed heavily. "Our killers are very careful. That's why it's so hard to get them."
"Wait, but Jaejoong said that we have no choice-" Eunjae stopped, and her eyes widened in realisation.
"No." She breathed.
"We have no other option, Eunjae." Dongwoon groaned, catching on to the discussion."We're going to have to wait for the next murder to happen."Hey everybody! Sorry for updating so late T^T Things might be a bit slow since I just had this amazing idea for a fanfic and it's for a contest, so I might be a bit slow until I finish my idol fic, then I can update Metamorphosis and Detective at the same time ^^ So this story is on TEMPORARY HIATUS BUT I will update when I can, it's just that I will be slow until le idol fic is over ^^
