Chapter 121 (1/1)

A month had passed.  Woozi finds himself looking out of the window early in the morning while his other half is on the bed, facing away from him.  The older couldn't see the rain falling outside, but he definitely heard it.  A tear rolled down his cheek like he saw a rain droplet roll down the window.  He looked back at the other crow. "Yeosang.. please talk to me."  He stood up, walking to the bed. Getting another round of silence, Woozi inwardly sighed.  When he tried looking around to the male's face, Yeosang moved his face into the pillow. He pursed his lips and stood up all the way from having his knee on the bed.  He exited the bedroom and silently walked downstairs.  The muffled thunder filled his sense of hearing as he walked into the kitchen.  That's where he saw Jeonghan looking at the coffee pot. "Woozi?  What are you doing awake?"  Jeonghan asked, looking at the clock that displayed the time being five o'clock. Woozi heard Seungcheol leave the house.  "I couldn't get to sleep."  He said, looking down as he opened a chair. Jeonghan took a mug from the cabinet and poured coffee in it.  He handed the beverage to Woozi and leaned back against the counter.  "What has you not sleeping?  Is Yeosang hogging the blanket?"  He asked, knowing a common thing that the boy does. Woozi shook his head.  "No.. Yeosang and I had an argument.."  He muttered, sipping on the hot coffee. Jeonghan hummed.  "It's useless trying to sleep when you have one of those.."  He commented, crossing his legs.  "What was this one about?"  He asked. "Last night, when he was taking his shirt off for a shower.."  Woozi started.  "I saw that his crow was fully on his back."  He sighed. Jeonghan raised his eyebrows.  "Already?"  He asked. "Mhm,"  Woozi nodded, "he was supposed to have another year, Dad.  He's not supposed to die yet.  He's not supposed to be leaving me so soon when we've only been together for such a short time."  He put the cup down as he put his forehead on the table. Jeonghan's chest felt pain as he watched the boy's tears come out.  The rain only got harder outside.  "I'm sorry, Woozi.."  Jeonghan muttered. "I keep trying to tell him that he's not going to die.  He's not going to leave me."  Woozi looked at the parent.  "But he keeps arguing with me and telling me it's hopeless.."  He gripped his hair. Jeonghan sighed.  "Yeosang's close to dying, Woozi."  He simply stated.  "He doesn't want to argue with you when he knows what's real.  He just wants to hold you until the moment comes."  He gave his input. Woozi's shoulders tremble.  "And now he doesn't want to talk to me at all."  He muttered. Jeonghan pouted his lip, watching the boy's tears come down his cheeks.  "If he doesn't want to talk, so be it, Woozi."  Jeonghan folded his arms.  "There was one time I didn't want to talk to Cheol, and that was when you came to us." Woozi looked at him in guilt.  "I'm sorry.."  He said. "He didn't give up on me though,"  Jeonghan said, "he spoke to me. And the one thing that he said that really had me react to him was that he wanted to eat with me.  I don't know why, but hearing him say that made me happy.."  He said, rubbing Woozi's shoulder. Woozi's lips trembled.  "Do I need to offer him food?"  He asked. "Hehe,"  Jeonghan giggled, "no, what Yeosang needs from you isn't talking or eating.  He just needs you."  He smiled. "Me?"  He asked in shock. Jeonghan nodded.  "Just cuddle with him, it'll make his day.  I guarantee it."  He said. Woozi smiled a little.  "Thanks, Dad.."  He stood up. "It feels weird, just call me Jeonghan."  The parent chuckled.  Woozi laughed a little.  "Right.. I suppose I'll go cuddle with him now."  He scratched his neck.

Jeonghan nodded and patted the boy's shoulder.  "That would be a-"  Jeonghan's speech was interrupted by the door being knocked on.  "That must be Mingyu's new camera.  Hoshi accidentally broke the camera in his room."  Jeonghan chuckled. Woozi grimaced.  "Ooo.." "Could you get it before they ring the doorbell?  I rather the others not wake up before they have to."  Jeonghan requested. Woozi looked at the lazy parent.  "You never change.."  He shook his head as he walked to the door. He opened the door and was faced with nobody.  However, when his eyes land on the doorstep for a package, he sees something far different.  He just stares at the image in shock. "Woozi?  Is something wrong?"  Jeonghan asked, coming out of the kitchen. Woozi bent down to pick up the basket.  Little eyes were looking at him with a thin smile.  "Who's baby are you?"  Woozi muttered, closing the door.

Jeonghan looked at the basket before the child inside.  "Oh, the envelope is different compared to the ones Cheol and I got."  He commented when he saw the black feathers beside the emblem. Woozi carefully opened the envelope and took out the letter.  "I-I'll read it."  He said in a shaky voice.

"Dear Parents,   Congratulations on your first child!  Lee Hyunjae is here to stay.  With the incredible love that two crows share, this little life will grow up with both of you.  The symbol on his back symbolizes the unity both of you share and even death would not separate you.    To Woozi and Yeosang, take care of him well and do not worry over the symbol any longer." Woozi looked at the child in the basket.  All he could do was look at the life with shocked and awed eyes.  Jeonghan smiled softly. "It's a good thing I'm done working at the store,"  Jeonghan commented, "now I get to watch three kids all day."  He gave a faint chuckle. Woozi looked up at the parent.  "Is.. is he really mine?"  He asked, hope filling his eyes and happy tears replaced the bitter ones. "It's what the stork said, right?"  Jeonghan asked, taking a peak at the letter. "It has to be true if he says it."  He gave an assuring eye. "I just.. it's impossible, he's supposed to be.."  He looked at the child that put his hand out, grasping at the air. Jeonghan smiled at Hyunjae's curious eyes.  "What I learned from having all of you is that it's not a matter of how, it's why.  And it's because you loved each other, despite Yeosang not having much longer."  His eyes turned soft as the child played with his blanket. Woozi thumbed the baby's cheek, smiling as those little hands holding his wrist.  "It's a miracle.."  He muttered. "And I'm sure Yeosang would be thrilled to see the little life you made together."  Jeonghan mentioned. "Y-yes, I'll go to him now."  He said, securing the basket in his arms and having the letter on the baby's stomach. Jeonghan nodded.  "I'll go to the store and pick up some supplies for you.  You have a lot to learn, and you get to learn with your other half right next to you."  He put a hand on Woozi's shoulder. Woozi smiled.  "Thank you.."  He said. Jeonghan pecked the boy's forehead before walking to the door to put his shoes on.  Woozi looked down at the child before walking him upstairs.  He carefully opened the door with one hand and saw Yeosang still laying on the bed, now with his hands covering his face. Woozi set the basket down before closing the door.  "Yeosang,"  He tried getting the male's attention.  However, the other was still silent. "I know you don't want to talk to me, but I'd like it if you spoke to our child."  He said in a slight-nagging tone. Yeosang finally looked at the older with a confused glare.  He sat up automatically when he saw the basket.  "How..?"  He looked at those eyes. "His name is Hyunjae."  Woozi introduced with a small smile. "That's.. he can't be ours."  He doubted. Woozi understood the crow's doubt.  "Well the stork said he's ours and that you're not dying, so get over it and take care of him with me before I get Jun to go ShenZhen your ass."  He said with an attitude. Yeosang looked at him with wide eyes as Woozi smirked.  The younger read the letter before looking at the child.  "He really is ours.. but.."  He picked Hyunjae out of the basket. "The stork said not to worry about the crow anymore, so let's do that."  Woozi smiled at him.  "It's been a sign of our unity, not your death.  That's why it was so quick to be there after our wedding."  He explained. The younger just smiled sweetly, kissing the baby's cheeks.  "I'm sorry for being immature and not talking, Woozi."  He said, some guilt flooding his happiness. Woozi shook his head.  "I shouldn't have argued with you.  We're both at fault."  He said.   Yeosang giggled when the child poked him.  "He's adorable.."  He commented. Woozi's smile got bigger.  "You're adorable too.. in your own way."  He chuckled. Yeosang looked up from the child to Woozi.  "I love you."  He said out of nowhere. Woozi leaned closer to kiss his lips.  "Apparently,"  He laughed, "we'll have to be a bit more careful with all that love, you know.  I think the stork is kinda suggesting we'll have more than just Hyunjae."  He commented. Yeosang shrugged.  "They can all come at once, I don't mind."  He said, thumbing the child's cheek.  "Isn't that right, Hyunjae?  Do you want a brother?"  He asked with a chuckle. Woozi laughed and looked at the letter.  "Jeonghan made baby books for all of us, do you want to do the same?"  He asked. "I'd like to save every moment we share.  Even if he doesn't care in the future."  He said, looking at the child who is giggling from Yeosang's little tickling. Woozi nodded.  "Then that's what we'll do.  I'll go steal a book from his room."  He said with an evil chuckle. Yeosang smirked as the other ran out of the room.

*** The next day, Monday, Joshua takes out a cinnamon roll from the oven.  He sets it on the stove to let it cool down before noticing Ren stepping into the kitchen.  He held his hip and looked at the crow before looking back at his food. "Dad told me about Hyunjae,"  Ren started, "congrats on the addition.  He said, leaning on the counter for a short break. Joshua hummed with a small smile.  "I'm really surprised, but you know how surprising the stork can be."  He waved as he picked up his knife.  "I'm glad that those two can still go to work with just having a child.  They must trust Jeonghan a lot."  He commented. "He took care of all you guys, right?"  Ren smirked and watched Joshua cut the roll up like a loaf of bread. "I know, I'm just joking."  Joshua smirked.  "How are things with you and Minhyun?  I never had the chance to ask."  He brought up. Ren smiled and looked down at the floor.  "I found out he was trying to date other people.. but those relationships didn't work out, he said."  He said as he took a peek outside the kitchen to see if anyone needed anything.  "But things are working well between us."  He said as he took his place back on the counter. Joshua finished cutting the roll.  "Well that's good to hear."  He commented. "He.. kinda offered for me to move in with him."  Ren started.  "But I've been hesitant because you know that dad offered me to move in with you guys.. I don't want to upset him.."  He looked at the other with upset eyes. Joshua chuckled.  "He'll understand if you want to move in with Minhyun instead, don't worry."  He said, picking up the platter and putting the slices on it.  "Just don't forget to text, otherwise he'll probably show up one day and nag your ear off."  He winked as he picked the platter up. Ren opened the kitchen door for the other.  "And how are things with Jaemin?"  He asked, watching Joshua put the roll on display. "Things are good, he texts me every night and he comes by every weekend."  Joshua smiled.  "I really look forward to the weekends.  And now he'll have fun taking care of Hyunjae too."  He folded his arms as he looked around the cafe. Ren gave a smirk.  "You two thinking of any kids yet?"  He asked. "Oh definitely not,"  Joshua chuckled, "we don't have enough time for a kid, especially since I'm starting school in January."  He said. "You've already enrolled?"  Ren asked. Joshua hummed with a small chuckle.  "More like I requested a reservation.  But since I have a good reputation as a student, they said they'll most likely honor the request."  He stated. Ren gave an impressed smile.  "You're going to leave me all alone here, Josh."  He teasingly nudged. "Don't kid around with me,"  Joshua smirked, "I saw that invitation to Incheon University in your jacket.  You're going back to business school."  He said, picking up a cup and filling it with the customer's desired coffee. "You did, huh?"  Ren chuckled.  "Seungcheol said he'd hire me if I took a couple more classes, so I guess that's why I'm going back."  He said, watching Joshua hand the coffee to the customer and put the money in the cash register. Joshua raised an eyebrow with a smile.  "Working with my dad will be totally different, you'll enjoy it."  He assured. Ren nodded back.  "I know.. That and, what a coincidence, Minhyun works at the company too."  He picked up a cup and walked to the machine. "No way, seriously?  What does he do?"  Joshua asked as he took a cake from the display and cut it for the little girl on the other side of the counter. "He works in warehouse seven, handling all of the heavy equipment and making sure they get to the offices they need to go to."  Ren answered, handing the beverage to the mother and watching her slide the credit card against the reader. Joshua hums and hands a plastic fork to the little girl with a smile.  "Looks like Woohyun's going to be out two employees then."  He said, watching the girls walk to a table. "I'm not quitting until I get another job,"  Ren said, "so he'll only be out one employee."  Pointing at Joshua. The younger smirked.  "You really are fearless, huh?"  He asked. "When you've gone through so much crap, it's hard to be afraid these days."  Ren said seriously.

Joshua's smile went down and looked at the floor.  "Hm.."
