Chapter 111 (1/2)
Nct - Park Jisung
Now Saturday, Jeonghan brushes his hair. Earlier it was pink, then it faded back to blonde. Now it’s a ashy-brown-black. He decided to give his hair a break from all of the dyeing. He put on a casual pair of jeans and a plain shirt.
“Dino-ah,” He called from his bedroom, “could you come here?” He requested as he put on his socks.
The child was up in less than a minute. “Yes, Jeong-dad?” He walked into the open room.
“I’ll be going out with Jae today.” Jeonghan stated. “But I need the grocery shopping to be done too. Could you and Renjuni pop into the store for me before you start baking?” He asked with a small smile.
Dino nodded. “Sure, do you have the list?” He asked.
“I’ll send it to you through text.” Jeonghan stood up. “Be good and watch over him, okay?” He patted the boy’s head.
Dino smiled back. “Where all are you going?” He asked.
“First I want to visit the twins.” Jeonghan said, walking out of the bedroom with the younger. “Then Mingyu wants me to buy some cameras at the electronics store so that when we come back home we can work on setting them up around the property.” He went through his itinerary.
Dino sighed. “At least Jae can have some fun before working, right?” He chuckled.
“And if he doesn’t want to go or help out, I’ll just do it on my own.” Jeonghan leaned back against the wall to put his shoes on. “It’s not like I had any helpers when we first moved here..” He muttered.
Dino hummed. “If I could have helped, I would have.” He smiled. “So to make the load lighter on you, I’ll go get Renjun ready to do some shopping.” He left for the kitchen.
Jeonghan then heard a car door outside. He opened the door and waved to the boy. “Hey, would you mind driving me some places today?” He asked, looking at Jaemin.
“Drive? Where are we going?” He asked, unlocking the car again.
“Would you like to meet Wonwoo’s girls?” Jeonghan asked in an advertising tone.
Jaemin scratched his forehead. “I suppose.. Do we have any work here?” He asked, watching Jeonghan sit down in the passenger seat.
“Later, but we have to pick up some cameras first.” Jeonghan answered. “I just wanted to have a little fun before work, you know?” He smiled, buckling his seatbelt.
“Twin girls, huh?” Jaemin started the engine. “If they’re anything like WanEr, they’ll be fun to play with.” He smiled, backing out of the driveway.
Jeonghan smiled as he put his hands in his lap. “Are you upset about the sudden plan?” He asked.
“Nah,” Jaemin shifted the gear, “I realized that you’re always full of weird, crazy surprises..”
Jeonghan lifted his eyebrows. “Oh..?” He looked away.
“So I prepared myself with two cups of dangerously caffeinated coffee to handle this sort of thing.” Jaemin smirked as he put on his turn signal.
Jeonghan chuckled. “You’re funny.” He said.
“Sometimes the funniest things are the realest things.” Jaemin replied, looking around. “So where does Nana live?” He asked as he made it to a stop sign.
Jeonghan took out his phone and set it up as a GPS. “Ah, turn right at the next light.” He dictated.
“So which one is the older one, Jinju or Zhenzhu?” Jaemin asked.
“Zhenzhu,” Jeonghan replied, “but they’re both adorable.” He smiled brightly.
Jaemin chuckled. “They should look relatively the same, right?” He asked, looking at the phone for a second.
“Jinju has a little mole on the top of her cheek.” Jeonghan pointed on his face. “And Zhenzhu has a birthmark on her shoulder.” He continued.
Meanwhile, Dino and Renjun make it to the store with the list that Jeonghan sent to them. Renjun pushed the cart while Dino looked at his phone. "Let's visit the produce last." Dino suggested.
Renjun nodded in agreement and went down the first aisle with Dino. The boy picked up various things that were on the list. It was mostly cooking ingredients for Mingyu, he’s wanting to try a new style of dish.
Lately, Mingyu has been making Italian or French dishes. Now he wants to make Spanish and German dishes.
“Mingyu is sure dedicated to cooking,” Dino commented.
“I like your baking too,” Renjun said as he helped Dino pick up a sack of beans, “maybe you can make some German sweets to go along with his dishes.” He suggested as he watched Dino look at his phone.
Dino smiled at him. “And would you like to help me, Renjun?” He asked.
“As long as I’m allowed to.” Renjun saluted.
“Dino?”
Their attention turned to a voice from a little further down the aisle. Dino looked at the male that was walking up to them. He immediately recognized the boy and his face lit up.
“Jisung?” He asked.
“That’s me,” Jisung smiled, “look at my Dino, still looking as cute as ever.” He waved his hands around.
Dino blushed a little and scratched his cheek. “How have you been? It’s been a little over a year, hasn’t it?” He asked, putting his hands at his sides after putting his phone away.
“It’s felt like years,” Jisung said, “but things are looking good thus far. You know with video gaming.” He chuckled.
Dino laughed. “As you know, I went into baking.” He advertised.
“A sweet thing making sweets,” Jisung shook his head, “don’t be shy, come here and give me a hug.” He opened his arms.
Dino didn’t hesitate to hug the boy. Jisung rubbed up and down Dino’s back while humming a little. Renjun made a little noise, snapping the two out of their moment.
“Oh,” Dino looked at Renjun, “I should introduce you two.” He looked back at Jisung with a smile.
“That would be nice.” Renjun faked a smile.
Dino didn’t detect the forced-nice attitude either. “Renjun, this is Jisung. He was my best friend in stork school.” He introduced.
“Jisung, this is Renjun-”
“His boyfriend.” Renjun interrupted.
