Chapter Ninety-six (1/2)
The next day, the Choi-Yoon residence was filled with many friends and family members. Woozi looked out at all of the guests with a proud smile. He then looked at Yeosang who was fixing his golden tie. Woozi chuckled and fixed the tie for Yeosang before holding his hand.
"The calla lilies really do look nice," Woozi commented as they walk together out of Woozi's bedroom, "Renjun is good at picking flowers." He said as they moved to the stairs. "I'm really interested in how the desserts will taste," Yeosang said as they go into the kitchen, "how's it going Dino?" He asked. "Everything's coming together nicely." Dino smiled at them. "I'll change into my suit after this cake is finished." He said with a salute. Woozi nodded and looked at Renjun who was wearing a cyan suit. "Enjoy yourself today, Renjun." Yeosang said. The Chinese boy looked up at him with a playful smile. "I'm not messing today up for you guys. I'm tame today." He assured.
Outside, Seokmin puts his hands in his white pockets, watching Minghao paint the platform that Woozi and Yeosang will be married on. "The sun's coming in at a good angle," He said as he dipped his paintbrush in green, "the grass is a good length too." He commented. Minghao's teacher was looking over his shoulder too. "You're doing really nicely." He complimented. Seokmin smiled and looked back at the table. "How have you liked working here with Jeong-dad?" He asked as he looked at Vernon. "It's pretty interesting, honestly." Vernon said. "I thought I would hate digging a trench." He said with an amazed smile.
"There's my dove~" Seokmin turned around to see a man dressed in black. "Sungjae? What are you doing here?" He asked with a shocked expression. "How could I miss Woozi and Yeosang's wedding?" Sungjae asked with a small nudge to Seokmin's side. "Why didn't you invite me?" He asked with a slight pout. Seokmin plays with his nails absentmindedly. "W-well.. I thought you'd be busy in America.." He said. "Who invited you?" He asked. "Jeonghan sent me a message last week and I begged my boss to let me come here for the weekend." Sungjae answered with a playful smile. Vernon silently walked away to give them some space. "Jeonghan invited you?" He asked in disbelief. "I can't imagine him actually talking to you." Seokmin commented. Sungjae scratched his neck. "No? Jeonghan's been blowing my phone up since I left for America." He said. "Seriously?" Seokmin opened his eyes wide.
The crow nodded and put his arm around Seokmin. "At first, he was mad about me inviting you into my car alone.. But I think you left out the part where Minghao was with you." He smirked.
Seokmin looked away. "I just.. I wanted it to feel more special.." He muttered.
"After that misunderstanding was cleared up, we got to know each other a little more." Sungjae said with a small sigh. "Anyway, how has my dove been?" He asked.
Seokmin shrugged. "A little depressed that I can't spend time with you.." He said honestly. Sungjae side-hugged him closer. "Well the case in America is almost done, so I'll be back in Suji-gu soon." He said, leaning forward to kiss Seokmin's cheek. Seokmin smiled. "That's good to hear.." He said. "I have something to confess to you.." He looked into Sungjae's eyes. The crow looked at the dove's serious eyes. "What's up?" He asked. "I was really upset at that time.. I had a few meals with another boy." Seokmin admitted. "It was my rebellious part of me coming out.." He stated. Sungjae looked around. "And you just ate with him?" He asked. "He kissed me, even though I told him to give me space." Seokmin replied.
Sungjae looked around, a little anger coming to him. "Who was it?" He asked. "Mingi.. But it's fine now." Seokmin put his hand up. "He understands to not do that again. And he found someone else." He assured. Sungjae nodded and noticed Yeosang and Woozi. "If you'll excuse me, I should probably greet the grooms." He took his arm back from Seokmin.
He walked away from the dove and up to Yeosang. "Hey," He greeted, "congrats on the wedding." He smiled. Yeosang smiled back. "Nice to see you here," He bowed back to the older, "did Dokyeom invite you?" He asked. "No, Jeonghan did." Sungjae briefly replied. "So who's Mingi?" He asked.
Yeosang's smile went down. "Oh.." He looked around. "That's him over there," He pointed, "you probably shouldn't get revenge until tomorrow." He suggested. Sungjae sighed and held his hip. "It was just a kiss? Can I pay you to beat him up for me?" He asked. Woozi chuckled. "I tried telling him to beat up Mingi, he won't do it." He said. "He seems to be with San now, so there's nothing to worry about there." He said. Sungjae nodded and looked at the tall male having his arm around the boy dressed in white. His dark hair highly contrasted with the suit. "San's a dove?" He asked. "That's right," Yeosang replied, "a dove more desperate than Dokyeom." He mentioned. The older raised an eyebrow. "Seriously? Mingi's in for a handful then.." He commented.
Across the way, Jeonghan squeals when Leeteuk and Suho show up. "The gang's here," Jeonghan said, "it's been so long since we've been together." He hugged the two. Leeteuk chuckled. "It's been a long time." He patted the younger's head. "I remember when you were this tall~" He teased with the short height. Jeonghan laughed and slapped the older's shoulder. "Seriously, you were my best babysitter." He said. "How is the car wash going, Suho?" He asked. "Chanyeol loves the business, but the other kids have other things that they like to do." Suho said. "A lot of them are out of the country right now, so I'm sorry that my family isn't all here." He pouted. Jeonghan nodded and side-hugged Suho. "There are a couple boys I want you to meet." He said. "First of all, this boy is Jaemin." He pulled the boy by the shoulder. Jaemin looked at the little amount of water he spilled on his chest. He lowered his glass. "Thanks for that.." He muttered. "Nice to meet you." He bowed to the other two parents. Suho raised an eyebrow. "Jaemin? I think you fixed a leak at my shop a couple years ago." He remembered. The boy scratched his cheek. "Oh yeah.. I was a temp at Crystal Water Plumbing.." He remembered. "I don't do that anymore." He waved his hand. Leeteuk noticed the ring on Jaemin's finger. "Oh? Boy's married?" He asked. "No, Josh and I are just engaged." Jaemin answered. "OoOoo~" Suho and Leeteuk said at the same time.
Jaemin then noticed he was abandoned. "Hm? Mr. Yoon?" He looked around.
Of course Hoshi had to invite his co-workers: Changmin, Eunhyuk, and Mr. Kim. And with Mr. Kim, Jisoo came along too. Changmin and Eunyuk wear their gray suits proudly and Jisoo wears a light pink dress. "Thanks for inviting us, Bro." Eunhyuk said before raising his wine glass. "Sure, you guys are my friends." Hoshi laughed. "You give me confidence to talk to Jisoo too." He whispered. Changmin chuckled. "You two kiss yet?" He asked. "A couple times.." Hoshi blushed. Jun walked up to him. "Jisoo and Yeji seem to be getting along well together." He commented. "Nana is chatting with them too." He said, pointing. Hoshi looked at the three girls in the distance. "Woah, she's actually talking.." He said with big eyes. "Duh," Wonwoo said, "she's a person too. Just because she doesn't talk to you doesn't mean she has the inability." He drank some water. Jun smirked. "Hey, Siwon's here. He'll be marrying them, right?" He asked. Wonwoo hummed and looked at the umbrella in his water. "That's right, I can't wait to hear the cheesy vows Woozi and Yeosang have for each other." He said with a slight smirk. Hoshi laughed. "That's true.. two crows talking to each other about love.." He imagined. "I don't see it going without talking about sex at least once." He said as he put a finger up. "For Minghao and WanEr's sakes, I hope that they keep it PG." Changmin commented. Wonwoo agreed with a nod. "I'd like it if the first words my kids said weren't about sex.." He said.
Seungcheol straightened his tie and felt an arm around his waist. He looked to the side and saw Woozi looking up at him with a smile. "We're ready, Cheol-dad." He said. "Woozi-ah, you're not one to hug." He chuckled, hugging back. Woozi hides his face in the parent's chest. "I'm just really happy right now," He said, "everyone's getting well together." He commented. "True.. Jeonghan's laughing with his mother," Seungcheol noticed, "Sungjae and DK are having a good time too." He said as he saw the white and black Ying-Yang in a hug. Woozi nodded. "I know I won't have too long with Yeosang, but I want to be completely taken by him before he leaves." He said. "I want everyone to know that no one can take me from Mr. Kang." He said, keeping his face hidden. Seungcheol chuckled. "No one will take you away from him, I'll make sure of it." He promised. "I'll tell Siwon you're ready to start." He patted the short boy's back.
Dino and Renjun were the last to sit in the seats. Siwon walked onto the platform and looked at all of the guests. "Good afternoon everyone," The male in gray spoke into the microphone, "we are gathered here today to bring two crows together to squawk in harmony." He joked. Siwon signaled Kyuhyun to play the piano. Woozi and Yeosang decided to walk down the aisle together, arms linked with WanEr in front of them, twirling around and throwing the petals. Once they stood on the platform, the girl sat down and Dino held the rings for the couple. "At this time, please give your vows." Siwon requested.
Woozi looked up at the boy with blushed cheeks. He looked at the crowd and waved off their coos. "Yeosang, it's been awhile that we've known each other. Through it all, you've dealt with my bossiness, and loved me ways that no one else could." That statement earned a look from Minghao. "You understand me so well.. I promise that I'll make our days together meaningful. I'll make sure you smile every day, even if it goes against my nature." He laughed as he held Yeosang's hands. The younger looked down at his boots. They were slightly covered with the feather pattern he made on the bottoms of his pants legs. Jeonghan leaned closer to the boy beside him. "That's my baby." He whispered. Jaemin raised an eyebrow. "I know.." He muttered. "Jihoon," He started with Woozi's name, "not one moment of my life with you I would take back. And not one moment of our life in the future will be a waste. I promise to always love you," Another glare from Minghao, "protect you, and suffocate you with my heart. No one will hurt my crow - emotionally or physically." He promised. "Until my last breath, I'll hold you close to me."
Woozi looked down. "Shut up.." He muttered. "If there's anyone here who objects to these crows screeching together, now's the time to chuck corn at them." Siwon jokes, getting a little poke from Woozi. Everyone stays silent. "The rings," Siwon motioned. Yeosang took the ring and listened to Siwon's words, "I do." He said, sliding the band down Woozi's ring finger. Woozi picked up the bigger ring. "I do." He was like a parrot as he put the ring down Yeosang's finger. "I hereby unite these crows." Siwon stepped back.
Yeosang smiled uncontrollably. He leaned down and put their lips together so softly. Woozi pulled the man closer to him, closing his eyes at the innocent kiss. The audience clapped before they disconnected. "I love you, Woozi." Yeosang whispered. "I love you too.." Woozi whispered back.
Jeonghan giggled. "That's my baby." He pointed. "That's Yeosang.." Jaemin corrected. "He's part of the family now." Jeonghan stated. "Translation: my baby." He said with a sweet smile.
Jaemin hummed and started walking with him. "So you'll start tasking him to do things too..?" He asked as he helped fold the chairs. "Nah, he's got a job already." Jeonghan said, starting a pile for the folding chairs. Jaemin raised an eyebrow. "..so when I become a lawyer.." He muttered. "You won't be working weekends, right? You'll be my little minion still." Jeonghan said with a teasing smile. Jaemin looked up with a smile. "Ah yes.. because Yeosang works weekends." He said sarcastically. Jeonghan looked at him with serious eyes. "He does. And so does Renjuni and Nana." He said. "You're the only helper I have on the weekend." He said honestly, starting on the next row of chairs. "I can't really see what you'd be needing help with.." Jaemin muttered. "What, you think things are magic?" Jeonghan asked, standing up straight and holding his hip. "Seungkwan is busy with drama and Minghao uses the van for projects in Seoul. Someone's gotta go running from place to place to do grocery shopping and such." He explained.
Jaemin raised both eyebrows this time. "You? Running? I can't imagine that." He said.
