Chapter Ninety-two (1/2)
Dino lay down in his bed and put the pillow between them. However, Renjun's playful eyes were on him. They were asking to cuddle just like last time. He chuckled and moved the pillow closer to Renjun's side. The younger boy picked it up and placed it on the floor, inching his way closer to the other boy in the bed.
Dino blushed as he felt Renjun hold him in the now-dark room. He welcomed the little kisses Renjun gave. He took his pills, was Dino's thought. Otherwise, Renjun would be all over him tickling and giggling. However, Renjun's being romantic.
His longer kisses lingered on Dino's lips; his hand held Dino's chin softly while an arm went around him protectively. Dino's cheeks start heating up. His blood pumped faster as the boy was half-way on him and kissing him gently. Renjun tilted his head in the kiss, asking permission to enter his mouth.
Dino hesitantly opens his mouth, closing his eyes tightly and breathing heavily as Renjun moves closer. He held the boy's shoulders and pushed him a bit. "Dino?" The younger was confused. "I-I'm sorry, please give me space.." Dino furrowed his eyebrows.
Am I scared? Why do I have this weird feeling? Dino wanted to say it was a warm feeling, but he was afraid of it. He was afraid of Renjun coming closer to him, he convinced himself.
Renjun backed away. "I'm sorry, Dino." He picked up the pillow and put it between them. "G-goodnight.." He lay on the edge of the bed, giving a lot of room between him and the pillow.
Dino pursed his lips and looked Renjun's direction in the dark.
*** The next evening after dinner, Yeosang closed the bedroom door to Woozi's room. He didn't forget to lock it, knowing that some people here don't knock on the door before entering. He turned back to Woozi and smiled as he saw the boy preparing for bed.
His blue satin pajamas hung on his small frame. It was the same as Seokmin's pajamas, as they wanted to get a matching set. His black hair rested well on his forehead and his eyes were clear of makeup. Although Yeosang likes the smoky eyes of Woozi at school, the natural appearance makes Yeosang's mind turn into jelly.
He lay down beside the boy and pulled him close to his chest. "Now that there's nothing going on, I'd like to talk about what happened in the dojo a few days ago.." He said, stroking that shiny head of hair.
"Jun put you against someone and you got punched, right?" Woozi asked in curiosity, pushing his body closer to Yeosang.
"Not exactly.." Yeosang looked to the side. "Everyone was gone and I was talking to Mingi." He said.
Woozi raised an eyebrow. "What were you talking to him about?" He asked. "I told him not to see Dokyeom," Yeosang answered, "and one thing led to another.. He punched me." He stated. Woozi pouted. "I never told you to be protective over DK, why did you confront him like that?" He asked.
"To answer that.. I think I should take you back three years." Yeosang took his jewelry out of his ear.
"Don't tell me you had a romance with Dokyeom three years ago." Woozi gave him a stern look.
Yeosang put a hand up with a serious expression. "Nothing like that, I promise." He said, putting the earring on the nightstand. "That's a relief.." Woozi muttered.
Yeosang returned to the cuddling position. "Okay, so three years ago, my sister came to us." He stated. "My mothers were getting along so well. We were close too, it felt like that was the best time of my life." He smiled brightly. "It's not like that anymore for you.." Woozi muttered. Yeosang pursed his lips for a moment. "Anyway.. the only person who disliked me at the time was Dokyeom. He always had a special hate for me.." He said, looking up at the ceiling. "Naturally, that was when DK still wanted us to be secluded from everyone else," Woozi explained, "he was upset that I wanted to make friends."
Yeosang hummed in agreement. "One time, he told me to meet him at the playground instead of meeting you at the tree." He said. "The one time you never showed up.. I thought you got held back by a teacher." Woozi stated.
Yeosang nodded. "He told me how much he disliked me and how much I'm not good for you." He said. "He complained that you were spending more time with me than with him.
"It was a normal thing for Dokyeom to do, so I just let him go on about how much he hated me." Yeosang said with a disappointed-in-himself pout.
Woozi laughed. "A complaining DK.. sounds fun to watch, honestly." He said.
"He then asked me, 'Are you even listening to me? Or is what I'm saying doesn't matter to you?'" Yeosang quoted the exact grammar Seokmin used.
Woozi looked at Yeosang's simple, black shirt. "Was that usual for him to ask?" He asked.
"Pretty normal.. then he asked, 'Why are you dating him even though I told you not to?'" Yeosang stated. "That wasn't a normal question." Woozi nodded. "Dokyeom's always full of surprises.."
"I told him that you make me happy, and that my life felt complete with you being there with me while my parents were getting along." Yeosang smiled as he recalled the days.
All Woozi could do was blush. "I told him that I wished we could get along too.. I was really happy those days, and I wished we could all get along." Yeosang said, putting his hand through Woozi's hair. "It's hard to get along with someone that's trying to take away someone you love.." Woozi stated. "That's why I can't get along with Sungjae." He further stated.
Yeosang nodded. "Which is why I couldn't argue with him every time he said he wanted me to get out of your life.. I understood him.." He said. "Well you know doves: they're clingy and are determined to get what they want.." Woozi laughed a bit. "After I said I wanted us to get along, he hugged me." Yeosang said with wide eyes. "It definitely caught me off-guard.." He said. "Just a sudden hug?" Woozi asked.
Yeosang nodded. "He broke character, saying that it warmed his heart to see me smiling so much." He said, shocked his own self. "And here's the cheesiness from Jeonghan." Woozi started. "Always playing the tough guy but breaking down when he gets emotional.." He explained where Seokmin got his emotional traits.
Yeosang nodded. "He said that he was happy that I made you happy.. It really confused me because he was saying how much he hated me just a minute before." He said. "You're not just making this up, right?" Of course Woozi was skeptical, it came in his nature. Yeosang laughed a little. "Trust me, my made up stories are way easier to understand." He said.
"I think he hugged me for like five minutes." Yeosang said. "Then he said that he was sorry for giving me trouble and that he fell in love with Sungjae. So he figured out what it was like to want a person romantically." He explained the situation.
Woozi held his chin. "So he felt guilty that he got mad at me for gaining interest in you while he was giving attention to Sungjae.." He made his own brain buzz with that.
"I told him he didn't have to feel that way, but he insisted that he wanted to get to know me better." Yeosang stated. "So we slowly opened up to each other." Woozi shifted a little. "I was wondering why DK started to hang out around us more.." He mentioned. "We got along really well and I was really happy." Yeosang smiled once more. "Everything was just so perfect for me. He even said I could consider him my dove because he knew you and I would be together forever.." He had a dreamy tone.
Woozi sat up a little. "I love seeing your smile.." He admitted.
Unfortunately, Yeosang's smile went down. "Dokyeom hugged me when I lost my sister too.." He said. "He came from college to stork school to hug me every day.."
"That's a long walk.." Woozi commented. "I know I lost her.. but in a way, it felt like Dokyeom was also my sibling." Yeosang said, a tear starting up but he wouldn't admit it. "It felt like my sister never left when he would hug me.." Woozi looked down as he sat up. "I suppose he was a better comfort than I was.." He muttered. Yeosang held the boy's hands. "I needed both of you. You were the only friends I had, and the only friends I ever want." Those tears made Yeosang's eyes sparkle sadly.
"What about San and Mingi?" He asked. "San stopped being my friend once he learned about having babies." Yeosang said honestly. "Best thing to teach an eleven year-old.." He said sarcastically.
Woozi chuckled a bit. "What do you expect? He's a hormonal dove that wants kids.." He stated. "And he clearly has a type, he got rejected from Ren the other day at the cafe."
Yeosang shuddered a bit. "Anyway, that brings us back to Mingi.." He stated. "Mingi's not a bad person, he just doesn't understand us." He continued.
"What do you mean?" Woozi asked, laying down with him again. "Mingi doesn't believe in storks. He also doesn't stay in relationships for love, he stays in them to know someone." Yeosang tried to explain. "He just wants someone to fill his friend void." Woozi furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "So he didn't really want to date DK?" He asked. "Exactly, he just wanted to eat with someone." Yeosang confirmed. "He used Dokyeom's emotions to help get stress off." He continued. "You can understand why I'm doubting, right?" Woozi asked.
Yeosang sighed and nodded. "I've known Mingi since Jun started teaching. He's been in and out of relationships just so he can cope with his depression." He explained as he played with the satin material. "I know Dokyeom is compassionate, but he doesn't need that kind of negativity." "Depression from being dumped? Or.." Woozi wasn't for sure what Mingi would be depressed about. "Mingi's father is rarely home. If he's not working, he's off passed out somewhere from being drunk." Yeosang said with sad eyes. "And he watched his girlfriend bleed to death, so.." Woozi widened his eyes at the facts. Shit..
