Chapter Eighty (1/2)
Seungcheol allowed the person to come into his office as he types on his laptop. He looks up and sees Sungjae with a file and a serious expression. "I've found the person who has leaked secrets," Sungjae bowed while handing the file to Seungcheol.
Seungcheol nodded and put the file down on the table. "I'll be teaching a class here in a minute, but I would like it if you were to contact the employee and have him here in two hours." He requested.
Sungjae bowed and was about to turn away. "So how are you and Seokmin lately?" He asked.
Sungjae looked back at him. His expression remained serious. "I'm.. a little upset that I don't get to see him too often." He admitted. "But it would be selfish if I asked him to make more time for me." He bowed.
"Maybe you can make more time for him." Seungcheol commented. "The tunnel is just a hobby, right?" He asked. "Yes.. I wouldn't want Dokyeom to have to work in the time we spend together." Sungjae replied. "But I want the tunnel to be repaired so that he and I, and maybe our family together, can have fun and make memories." Seungcheol smiled a bit at the mention of family fun. "You know.. Jeonghan and I expanded the house together. We had a lot of fun putting flooring down and such. Maybe Seokmin will have fun repairing the tunnel with you." He tapped on his desk. "You really think so?" Sungjae asked with wide eyes. "Oh.. but Mr. Yoon wouldn't want Seokmin over in Suji-gu.. especially alone.." He sighed. Seungcheol hummed and nodded. "I wouldn't want him to be alone with you either.. Nothing personal." He put his hand up. "But if I do find out that something happens without my knowledge, know that I won't be too happy." He looked at Sungjae seriously.
Sungjae nodded and bowed. "Right.."
"You understand me, Mr. Yook?" Seungcheol said in a dominant tone.
"I understand." He bowed. He then exited the office.
*** Wonwoo tapped on his chin as he received a text from a woman. Now that he isn't tutoring San, he is open for new students. And a woman has registered her son who is in high school.
He cracked his neck and put his phone down when the door opened. A boy with a young face walked into the room with a bow.
"Hi," He sat down at the table.
"Hello, I'm Jeon Wonwoo. I'll be your tutor for grammar." He said.
The boy pouted. "I don't really see why I need a tutor. I'm great at grammar. Like I'm really good and I don't think I need a tutor for it." He said quickly.
Wonwoo looked at him with an amazed smile. "You got a C on your last grammar test." He said.
"C means correct. I got a perfect grade." He said.
Wonwoo chuckled. "C is a step above a D. A means you got a perfect grade, Renjun." He stated.
The boy pouted and looked around. "Well.."
"Your mom said that it's mostly the essay portion. So why don't you write a paragraph about what you did today?" He suggested with a soft smile. Renjun picked up the pencil Wonwoo gave to him and looked at the paper. He looked to the side before starting to write. Under the table, he pressed his thumbnail into his arm. He had moved his sleeve up a bit and started silently tapping his foot on the floor.
He looked up at Wonwoo. "Could you not watch?" He asked nervously.
Wonwoo nodded and looked around before picking up his phone. Renjun continued writing while biting his lip. Wonwoo gave him a short glance when his foot tapped the floor a little roughly. Wonwoo decided to give the boy space. He stood up and walked up to a bookshelf and picked up a book. Absentmindedly turning the front page. A few more minutes passed and Renjun was finished. Wonwoo straightened his glasses and smiled. "I shall read it out now." He said to the boy.
"Today, I was dropped off at school by my mom and I went to classes and met my friend who is on the volleyball team and then I went to eat lunch with him because he's nice and then I walked to a community college to meet my tutor who I don't really need but I have and is writing this essay for him."
Wonwoo put the paper down and saw Renjun's playful smile. "Did you like it? I made it all one sentence." He put his finger up. The adult cleared his throat. "Well.. I see what we need to work on." He smiled. "You changed tenses a lot and put thoughts together that didn't belong." He said.
Renjun looked to the side for a moment. "But we'll work on that," Wonwoo said, "for now, I need to go home. You arrived an hour late, and I need to get home before dinner." He said, standing up. "Oh?" Renjun stood up. "Can I have some dinner? What are you cooking? Do you cook? What do you like to eat? I'm hungry and bored. Can I come with you?" He asked excitedly.
Wonwoo looked at him and sighed. "Most times we have chicken."
