Chapter Forty-five (1/1)
Nct - Lee Taeyong
Jeonghan looked at the male who came home. He raised an eyebrow at Seungcheol before wiping his forehead. "How did talking to Jaemin go?" He asked, taking the chicken out of the oven. Seungcheol started fanning himself. "It went smoothly, I think we should consider a slow process of inviting him.. oh shit, why is it so hot in here?" He loosened his tie and opened a couple buttons. Jeonghan walked to the thermostat. "I don't know, it's been like this all day." He said, seeing that the display is set right. "Anyway, about that.. What do you see in him?" He asked, turning to the oven.
Seungcheol leaned back against the counter. "He's really attached to Josh.. more ways than one." He said, watching Jeonghan turn the chicken and putting it back in the oven. "More ways than one?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. Seungcheol looked around, making sure that none of the kids were hiding anywhere. He turned to the other parent and folded his arms. "They had sex." He said, making Jeonghan's eyes widen. "Before you go kill him, hear me out." He put his hands up. "You have one chance to make me not march to that cafe and kill Jaemin." Jeonghan said with a fake smile. Seungcheol nodded. "I know," He started, "he's being very honest with me. He didn't lie to me once. I want our kids to date honest people. He's going to be working in law, so honesty is the most important thing that he needs to have." Jeonghan nodded and looked down at the floor. "How do you know he wasn't lying?" He asked in a mutter. "Love, I think you forgot I took psychology in my major." He held Jeonghan's shoulders. "Each person has a special way they lie." Jeonghan smirked a bit. "How do I lie?" He asked. "Your eyes become bigger." Seungcheol replied. "Joshua has the same look in his eyes when he lies too." The younger sighed and looked down. "So.. you accept Jaemin then..?" He asked. "Not yet," Seungcheol said, "I won't accept him until you do. And that will take time, but I request that you make an effort to get to know Jaemin. They're a serious couple, not something like Minhyuk. Not something like my ex." He assured, thumbing the younger's cheek. Jeonghan looked into the man's eyes. He nodded in defeat. "Fine.. fine, Seungcheol. You win." He said stubbornly. "But you listen here, Mr. Choi." He gave the older man an angry glare. "If Jaemin so happens to make my son cry, hurts him in any way, or thinks he can walk in and change everything we've done, your face is going to have a rough make out session with my knuckles, do you hear me? "I'm never living it down. And once Jaemin makes an ass of himself, you're listening to me." He pointed at his chest. "Okay?" Seungcheol breathed in and out. "I accept these consequences." He said. "In turn, if Jaemin is the direct opposite, you must give every candidate faith that our children bring home." He returned. Jeonghan bit his tongue and nodded. "Good. Why don't you get to know him better at the spa then? He's now a marriage candidate, so I want you to know everything there is to know about him." Seungcheol requested. "Oh they're far from marriage." Jeonghan folded his arms. "I definitely agree." Seungcheol didn't hesitate. "But Jaemin said to me that he would rather suffer his heart for eternity than tear our family apart. I want you to at least give him a chance before making him lonely for the rest of his life." He said, looking at the chicken through the window of the oven. Jeonghan sighed. "Fine.. I'll get to know him better. But only for you and Joshua" He consented. "Meanwhile, I gotta call an A/C guy to come here." Seungcheol chuckled. "They'll be out here when the kids are at school, so you have to talk to them about this." He wiped his forehead. Jeonghan nodded. "I'm dying in this heat," He laughed, "anything to get the air cooler in here."
*** Jeonghan massaged his neck as he waited for someone from the air-conditioning company to come by. The heat made him shed his outer layer, making him wear shorts and a simple shirt. His shorts go down to his knees, however they go higher when he sits down. He looks at his thighs and covers the skin with a pillow on the couch. He then heard the doorbell. He slowly made his way to the front door. He opened it and saw a young man looking at him. "Good morning, Sir. I'm Lee Taeyong with Express Air." The younger said. "You called because the heater is bad?" Jeonghan hummed and walked into the house, letting the younger follow. "The heater is in the garage." He led the younger there. "The thermostat is next to the door of the kitchen. I'll leave you to fix it while I cool off." He said, eying the boy. "Right, where should I find you when I'm finished?" He asked as he put his tool kit on the floor. "My bedroom. But just call out to me when you need something." He instructed. Taeyong looked at him, watching the male walk up the stairs. His legs are on display and the small shirt is just making him look smaller. He looked around after the male turned on the landing. I'll come to your bedroom, Sir. He smirked and turned to the heater. He turned a valve that turned the heater off and poured some cleanser in the unit. "That'll fix it for awhile." He said aloud. He walked to the thermostat and watched it for a few minutes. He reached up to the vent and felt cool air coming out instead of hot air. "Perfect.." He looked at his watch. "Time to get some payment." He smirked. He unbuttoned his shirt a bit, making his way up the stairs quietly. The family pictures were passed by but not observed. The cameras around were also gone unnoticed as Taeyong makes it to the only door that is closed. He put his hand on the knob and listened against the door. He opened the door quietly, walking in to see Jeonghan by his fan on his dresser. "I thought I told you to call for me." Jeonghan said, seeing the male in the corner of his eye. He turned to the boy and sighed. "Alright, where's your clipboard? I have to sign for the payment, right?" He asked with an irritated voice. "Well I want a different payment." He said, inching closer to the older. "What are you talking about? I don't have any cash, my husband already paid through your website. I have to sign to say you came out and fixed it." Jeonghan raised an eyebrow as the younger nonchalantly got closer. "Hush," He reached to grab Jeonghan by the neck. Jeonghan squealed and tried to get out of the younger's grip. "Get off!" He shouted as he was made to go on his knees.
"Your clothes reveal so much, don't you think?" Taeyong asked against the older's ear, pulling down his zipper. Jeonghan fought the boy's hand. However, Taeyong was stronger. *** Seungcheol came home later, confused as to why the kids weren't home yet. He instructed Joshua to go pick the kids up from school for him. Meanwhile, he makes his way upstairs. He feels the cool air and sighs in relief. Maybe he fell asleep in the cool air. He smiled. Walking into his room, he sees Jeonghan wrapped in bulky sweat pants and a long sleeve shirt with a turtleneck. "Jeonghan?" He looked at him with concerned eyes. "You're home late." Jeonghan said angrily. "Where are the kids?" "They've been waiting at school for you to pick them up." Seungcheol answers. "Are you okay?" "I'm just cold." Jeonghan snapped. Seungcheol put his hands up. "Okay.. I'm going to go start dinner, do you want any?" He asked. "I've eaten already." Jeonghan looked at him. Seungcheol hummed when he saw those eyes getting bigger. He gave him one more concerned look before going downstairs. He looked at the kids who newly arrived and patted their heads. "Start your homework. I'll text when there are five minutes left." He told the children.
Jun looks at Joshua with a concerned glare. "Where's Jeong-daddy?" Jun asked, helping set the table. "He's upstairs, I think he might have gotten sick.." Seungcheol replied. "He's cold.." He put the chicken on the pan.
Mingyu pouted his lip and walked up the steps. Upon entering his room, he turns on his computer. He types in his passwords and starts accessing his cameras. Reeling the time back to when they were at school, he watched the air conditioning man pull up to the driveway. He held his chin as he watched the male do a quick repair on the heater. Mostly turning it off and not actually fixing any problem. About to exit the program, he notices Taeyong making his way up the stairs without his clipboard. He furrowed his eyebrows as he switched the view to inside the bedroom. Widening his eyes, Mingyu quickly stops the video. "Jeong-dad.." He held his mouth. He copied the time frame and made it its own separate file. He breathed in and out, starting a message to Seungcheol.
Mingyu (7:34pm)Attachment [MP4..]Dad, when you watch this, please don't confrontJeong-dad. We need togo to court instead. Choose your response tothis wisely.
Seungcheol didn't need his sound up to watch the video. Anger and rage filled his emotions. He gripped the phone tighter, practically killing the screen with his gaze. Hoshi noticed the vein on Seungcheol's exposed forehead. He swallowed inaudibly. "Dad?" Seungcheol looked up at Hoshi. The younger backed up a bit in hesitation. "Sorry," He softened his expression, "what is it, Hoshi?" He asked, putting his phone away. "It's just.. you looked really upset. Is everything okay?" He asked in concern. Seungcheol looked past the tiger and sighed. "No. But I'll fix things, don't worry." He patted Hoshi's head. "Watch the chicken for me." He requested.
*** Meanwhile, Wonwoo was the boy who didn't go home with Joshua. He has a midterm and he can't afford to not concentrate at home for it. He walked to the school's library and looked around for an empty room. However, each room had their group aside from one room who just had a girl in it. He recognized the girl to be one of his classmates. She's a silent girl with long, black hair. Her skin is fairly dark and her gaze is even darker. He shrugged and entered the room, making her look up automatically. They lock eyes for a moment, just until Wonwoo looks at the table. He silently took his book out of his backpack and opened it. He then took his phone out to turn off the noises. He noticed in the corner of his eye, she was staring at him. He let his mind wander for a moment. "Wan shang hao." He said. She furrowed her eyebrows. "Uhm.." Wonwoo played with his page. "Good evening." "Your pronunciation is off." She snapped. "But.. good evening." She said with a bow. "Is it okay if I study here? The exam is coming up and it's too loud at the house." He requested. She hummed and looked at her book. "No other rooms you can read in?" She asked. "Those group tables are just not my thing," He said seriously, "but if you don't want me here, I understand." He stood up. "Sit." She commanded. He looked at her and obeyed, putting his bag back down on the floor. "I'll be quiet." He said, looking down at his book. She smirked and turned a page. "Which part are you stumped on?" She asked. "Maybe I could help." Wonwoo was surprised. The usually-quiet girl is offering him help? "You really don't have to, Nana." He put a hand up. "I want to." She said angrily. The two make eye contact for longer this time. "The teacher says I should have a study partner," She said in a grumble, "all of those unicorns in the classroom aren't me. I rather have a stone wall like you as a study partner." "Alright," He nodded, "and I'll have an obsidian chandelier as a study partner." He folded his arms.
She smirked. "I like obsidian.. It's a deal then." She put her hand out. "Jeon Wonwoo, you're my study partner." "Yang Nana, you're my study partner." He shook her hand. "So when that bastard asks if we completed our assignment he gave us since day one," Wonwoo started, "We can say yes." She continued. "But listen up and listen good," She looked at him with a neutral expression, "I like studying quietly. So no music, no singing, no drumming, and no slurpee drinks." She pointed at him. Wonwooo nodded. "No dropping hair brushes, giggling, or talking on the phone. " He came back at her. "Agreed." She smiled. "Now which part is stumping you?" She asked. Wonwoo scratched his neck. "Mostly the math portion.." He said. "The professor really needs to get the stick out of his ass and explain the equations more." She clicked her tongue. "I'll set up an example problem and you'll have to learn from it yourself." She said.
"Duo xie." Wonwoo bowed. She raised an eyebrow. "Don't. Stick to Korean." "I have two Chinese brothers, I should at least try learning something.." He said, watching her write on his notebook. "Two brothers? Do you have more?" She lifted her head for a moment before looking back down at her work. Wonwoo shrugged. "I have.. ten brothers.." He heard her pencil lead break. "Big family.. No wonder you don't want to study at home." She looked at him with wide eyes. Wonwoo leaned on the table to get closer to her. "We're study partners, so we're going to be spending a lot of time together." He said quietly, making her lean in too. "The first thing you have to get used to is that my parents are guys and the stork brought me and my brothers to them." He continued. "Stork..? You mean the mythical creatures?" She asked. "I love those books." She smiled. Wonwoo smiled back. "It's no myth, Nana." He said. "That's cool.." She gave his notebook back. "Do you remember anything about being carried by the bird?" She asked quietly, gathering that he's keeping this a secret. "No.. I only remember as far back as my dad burning his ear with tongs. They were in Japan for a week." He looked at the example she did. "Oh, that's how it's done." Nana nodded and turned her page in her book. "It's easy and fun when you know how to do it." She said. "That's fascinating though.. stork kids.." She held her chin. "I'm going to study now." Wonwoo nodded. "Wo ye." He attempted. She looked at him. "Stop." She put her hand up before looking back down at her book. He looked down at his book and notebook, starting on his homework.
Taeyong overpowered Jeonghan without knowing about the cameras..
And just t clarify, Taeyong made Jeonghan suck, not mate.
I wonder if a chair will break over him *holds chin*
Meanwhile, Wonwoo over here has a new study partner.
And she does not like him attempting Chinese XD
Yang Nana is a character from a Taiwanese drama, Bromance
Her real name is Katie Chen, but I'm using her drama name since she was dark in that.
