I thought of having a rest at the cafe nearby after having jogging. I slipped the hood from my head and took my ordered drink to a closed spot in the cafe when someone tapped on my shoulder and asked, "You're Han Mi, right? Seul Han Mi?" I turned to see the figure and saw a group of my friends. My best friends. "Yeah, you're really Seul Mi!" Yeon shouted and the rest cuddled me for awhile before pulling me to a table.
As I was sitting I crossed my legs and sipped my drink. "Wow, Seoul. You've changed a lot!" Anne exclaimed. I curved a warm smile. "You coloured your hair?" HaRi pointed to my blonde hair. I sipped my drink again. "How's everyone?" Yun nodded and gave me a warm smile. "Everyone's okay, Seoul. We miss you."
"Eum.. Min, there's no more straws at that store, so we should go to the other store." A voice complaining. I turned and saw Tae Jun was pouting. He took a sit and realized me. "Ehh..? Y-you're here, Seoul?" His expression showed he was shocked. I didn't realize Nam Woong was there with Tae Jun, pulling me near him and was about to give a peck when suddenly I blocked his lips with my hand from touching my cheek. "Han Mi! I miss you badly! My mom told that you're back and you've changed. You look pretty and s-sexy..." He complained. His eyes were eyeing my clothes from my sleeveless hoodie, singlet and shorts. I pushed him away, sat back and sipped my drink. "Sit, Nam." He pouted as I treated him with uninterest.
"Wait. You two didn't contact each other?" HaRi asked curiously. I shook my head and ran my fingers through my blonde hair. "We're just childhood friends. No more than that." Nam Woong explained behalf of mine. "So you've lied us all the time?"
"Eum.. like.. yeah?"
I ignored the gazes that they shot to me and shot a gaze to Kyung. "You're back with Tae Jun?" I whispered to her. "Yeah."
"After he had upset you so much times, you're still forgiving him? And accept him back?!"
"What should I do, Seul Mi? I love him so much. And everyone deserves a second chance." I breathed roughly hearing her words. I ran my hand through my hair. "I'm going home now. See you all at the reunion and don't follow me." I exclaimed as I was walking to the exit and sensed someone following. "Nam, sit back."
Everyone deserves a second chance? Then, why I didn't get the chance? Was I that ignoble to receive another chance? I was tired with this type of life.I walked unsteadily thinking of him. For the past 8 years, my mind was always thinking of him. At the time, I did not bother stumbling onto someone, but then I felt hand wrapping my body. "I know you're sad. Stay strong, Han Mi."
There was no tears rolling because for the past 8 years, I taught myself to stop crying over someone. I buried my face into his chest as I knew from the whisper, it was Nam Woong. "Why you're always with me?" Between my breathe, I asked. "Because I like you, Han Mi. I always love you." The words I managed to hear from him before he lifted me in a bridal style. "I'm sorry." "It's okay." I can see he smiled warmly, but his feelings, who knows?
-----
"Here." He handed me a glass of juice. I took it but hesitate to drink it. "So, tell me about your years." He took a seat beside me. "I-I dropped out university." I bit my bottom lip. "Dropped out?"
"It's not drop out. It's more like expelled." I held the glass tightly, telling the truth. "Wae? There's anything wrong?"
"I'm scared." I placed the glass onto the table near his bed.
"Scared of what?"
I stood on my knees and wrapped my hands around his neck. When I realized, our faces were close enough that our noses met. I could felt his hand around my waist. I whispered into his ear, "I'm scared of being alone." I pushed his hands from my waist, climbed down his bed and opened the door of his room. "I'll get going. Thanks, Nam Woong." I closed the door with a smile plastered on. I saw he was still clueless and did not move an inch from his sit.
-----
There was a knock at my door. "Come in." I expected it was my umma because Ha Jin would not knock the door. "Honey..." Umma ruffled my hair as she sat beside me. "Umma, wae?"
