All things must come to an end. ForewordOkay, so. Ive never entered a writing contest for one thousand different reasons but the main reason is that the deadlines make me sweat. I know its there, staring at me, and it stresses me out. THE RABBIT HOLE competition is a weekly competition (thus it frustrates me even more) but because its weekly, it also means that the one-shots are meant to be shorter. And somehow the words "challenge yourself" said in one way or another really got to me this time. So I decided to enter. And this has been a rollercoaster of feelings but it has worked as a good distraction at times too. Its not perfect but I made it on time and that is huge for me. I did it, I tried. Yay. But really, I would have chickened out a few times already if it wasnt for my friend, JayMor, who is also taking part in this competition. Having her there with me makes it seem less scary and all, not to mention her mental support that Id die without. I can be a bit hard, I know.I used the first prompt "When you compare the sorrows of real life to the pleasures of the imaginary one, you will never want to live again, only dream forever." Its a quote from The Count of Monte Cristo. Im not sure how loosely this is connected but I was inspired to create this from that very quote so there must be something. Read and see, I guess.Enough of my babbling. What you really want to hear is enjoy, so there you go: Enjoy!
