His plans were falling apart. He snarled his frustration. He’d have to take this a new direction now. And he’d have to do it without Luhan. The thought hurt more than Kris expected. No matter what had happened, no matter how apprehensive Kris had been about the whole thing, having Luhan at his side had helped give him purpose. He had had to keep Luhan in the dark. Couldn’t tell him about the plans, couldn’t fully explain the ritual or even tell Luhan what they really were. He’d been afraid Luhan wouldn’t come with him if he knew the truth. Was afraid someone else would find Luhan and use him if he didn’t go with Kris. So Kris hadn’t told him anything and preformed the ritual to pull out Luhan’s wolf before anyone else could and bound the two of them together. But now that connection was broken and Kris was on his own. Taking his frustration out on the warehouse door, Kris opened it so hard it slammed back into the wall when a bang. The sound drew the attention of everyone in the room. The guys were spread out on couches and the floor, sporting bandages and cut lips, looking subdued. They had obviously lost a fight. This gang had not been as helpful as Kris had hoped they would be. His lip curled, but he bite back the snarl. He already had a plan to turn them into something much more helpful. When Jin Wook, the gang’s Boss, stepped forward, Kris spoke. “The plan has changed. I no longer need the boy. There’s a girl that he hangs out with, I need her instead.” Jin Wook’s eyes widened. “So Hee? No way, man. We just had her. We tried to use her for bait to lure Blondie here and look want happened.” He spread his arms wide to indicate his injured men. “She’s too well protected. Find another girl to crush on.”Kris, looking around the room, finally spotted what he wanted, he walked over and bent to pick up the bundle of chain on the floor and headed back to the only door to the room. “Don’t worry, you won’t fail me this time.”Jin Wook bristled. “What makes you say that?” He asked through clenched teeth. Kris looped the chain through the handles of the double doors again and again, twisting it and locking them all in. “Because by this time tomorrow, you’ll be just like me,” Kris said as he turned around.Without warning, Kris let his wolf take over and take shape and he attacked.
