Sunshine
Naeun knew that her son would eventually ask her about his dad but she wasnt expecting it to happen so soon. What do you do when your child asks you, "Why dont I have an Appa? Is it true that my Appa didnt want me?" ForewordNaeun woke up to two tiny arms circling her waist. Smiling to herself, she turned around and pulled the owner of the arms closer to her body and kissed his forehead. "Aegi-ah, did you have a bad dream?" she whispered as she began to stroke the little boys thick hair. She could feel him shake his head against her."What did we say about sleeping in your own bed?"The boy groaned, "Eomma, its Saturday," he said, trying to sound sweet as he looked up to his mother.Naeun chuckled. "And?""Im not sleeping anymore, see?" he said, trying to widen his eyes as much as possible, making his mom laugh even harder."So my aegi gom just wants to cuddle with eomma?"He nodded before frowning, "Aniyo! Eomma, Im not a baby anymore! Im four!""Ahh really? Then you dont need eommas cuddles anymore?" she tried to pull away from him but he tightened his grip on her waist."Eomma!" he whined.Too clingy Naeun thought to herself, amused. Just one of the hundred things he got from his dad. Shocked by her own thoughts, she quickly scolded herself for having thought of him. Without meaning to, her heart quickened its pace and she had to tighten his hold on her son to calm herself down. "Since you dont have any school today, you can sleep here with Eomma a little longer, okay?"Smiling, he snuggled closer to his mom. "Eomma, saranghae," he mumbled as he let himself drift back to sleep.Naeun smiled, watching as his eyes fluttered to a close. Moving to a new town alone, and leaving everything shes ever known in Seoul wasnt easy. She thought about giving up a lot of times and wondering how she could make it, but when she held the tiny bundle of joy in her arms, she knew that her world has changed. She wasnt living for herself anymore. She was living for the person that she now loved the most and she knew that she had to strive hard to be able to make something of the world because he would be living in it.It’s not an easy task, being a single mom but if she were to be asked if shed do it all again, she would. She can no longer imagine a world where her son did not exist. And as she stared at his sleeping form, she could feel the overwhelming love she had for him radiate in her chest. She pulled him closer to her and kissed his forehead. "Nado saranghae, my aegi gom."A/N: Wow so here I am with another Taeun story! I love this trope and I knew that I just had to do it for Taeun. So should I continue it?
