The events in this story take place roughly a year after the end of RWBY Volume 3. Readers don’t really need to watch the show to understand this story because the situation as well as the powers of each of the characters will be explained throughout the course of the plot. But if you want to check it out, everything is on Youtube. :) Just some basic terms that will appear throughout the story (the definitions can be found in the RWBY Wikia and are also explained in the show itself):Semblance –the manifestation of one’s innate personal power. Each one is unique and is often related to one’s personality.Aura – the manifestation of one’s soul. The power that fuels semblances.Beacon – one of the academies where future huntsmen/huntresses are trained to fight off creatures of Grimm.Grimm – creatures of destruction that lack a soul; they are said to have been in existence since the beginning of time and are drawn to negative emotions.White Fang – a radical political and terrorist group who use violent means to combat discrimination instigated by humans.Faunus – a race of people who have physical animal traits (e.g. they have tails and cat ears).Scroll – collapsible holographic tablet that also serves as a communication device. It can also gauge the users aura, as well as his teammates.Vale – a kingdom in the World of Remnant where Beacon Academy is located.Atlas – a kingdom in the World of Remnant in the far northern continent; known for its military power and advanced technology.Vacuo – a kingdom in the World of Remnant located to the West of Vale, on the same continent; generally believed to be a desert area.Mistral – a kingdom in the World of Remnant that lies in the far eastern continent; it is said to be filled with swamps and small human villages.Emerald Forest – the location of the Beacon Academy initiation.Mountain Glenn – an abandoned city in Vale that was overrun by Grimm.Team RWBY – a team of Beacon Academy students composed of Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao Long and Blake Belladonna. Any similarities with existing fanfiction, commissioned stories and published media are purely incidental. Regarding the characters of BoA, Hyun Bin and Kim Jongkook, the authors gave them the exact same weapons and powers of Glynda Goodwitch, Ozpin and James Ironwood from RWBY, respectively. The authors also admit to basing the other weapons, powers and fighting styles on popular media such as video games, manga and anime. P.S. The main pairing is YulSic, then YoonHyun.
