Summer Rain
It’s been about six years since I went back to Korea, let alone my hometown. People say I’m living the life at age twenty-six; a genius and young beauty working a dream job outside South Korea. Well, yes, you can say I have a good life so far as an aspiring young lawyer whose base is in the USA, New York to be exact. And why did I come back, you ask? A school reunion, of course. Exactly six years ago, everyone from the entire senior year promised a reunion, to see what everyone’s doing by then. Some joked that they’ll be the youngest President in history, working at the Blue House and some were already determined of their future. We all agreed to meet up at the exact same day, six years from then. Why six years though? Well, this one apocalypse geek told us in a serious manner that the Mayan calendar is ending by the end of 2012, meaning: the world is ending soon. The others, who obviously didn’t buy it, laughed and joked that they should have the reunion in 2013 to see who survived the apocalypse. Of course, all of us ‘survived’.The young me was very eager of this reunion, but after I moved to the States to go to law school, I doubted the high-school promise. That is, until mother called two days ago.I packed my bags and called Jessica to take over the office while I’m gone, rushing to the airport for a trip back to South Korea with one thing in mind. It took me six long years to realize that I still miss youwhen I only needed sixty minutes to fall in loveand sixty seconds to think that Ive fallen out of love. All on a summer day, below the raining sky. ForewordSo this is a story starring Seohyun, written by Seohyuns point of view. Initially, I wanted to make this a one-shot, then again this story exceeded way more than 6K, so its impossible LOL.I wanted to thank mafalda whose poster gave me initial inspiration for this story. You should check her stories out; she writes great stuff! I was also inspired by songs such as My Love (Lee Jonghyun) and 60 Seconds (Infinite). To cut things short, anything you read in this story that bears resemblance towards another work is purely coincidental. I dont think my work is good enough to get plagiarized so... yeah. Still, if any of you wanted so steal ideas, please dont :c Last but not least, thank you for giving this story a chance!
