Minju  has moved in to her grandmothers house out in the country due to family circumstances back in the city. It doesnt bother her much since she is able to practice her archery skills and ride horses. One day, she decides to go explore the forest that covers the mountainside. But little does she know that there is more in that forest than just harmless plants and animals.Kai is not human. He is a wolf and one of the twelve Guardians who protect one of the last places on earth that havent been affected by humans and their actions. That place that they protect is called Sanctuary. In legends, it is known as a mythical place that if discovered by humans, it will bring fame and riches to the individual that discovered it. All that the humans know is that it is somewhere in that area. Luckily, Sanctuary hasnt been found yet, but that is because the wolves kill those who come to close. and for Kai, it is a painful thing to do. Because he was once a human too.One day, he senses another human coming to close to the barrier and moves in to kill it. But he cant. As soon as he lays his eyes on her, he feels that he has fallen. The girl injures him but he ends up saving her from the other Guardians and her death. As a result, he is critically injured and the girl is left confused.
