just my luck
at sm academy, everyone strives to be the best. and that’s what park heeyeon plans to keep on doing. with the best grades in school, what can go wrong? she’s at the top of the pyramid in singing, dancing—you name it. even the kingkas and queenkas—no, everyone has their eyes on her.at an angle, park heeyeon seems absolutely perfect. she has a complete family and has parents who earn just enough.surely with a life like that something’s bound to go wrong, right?probably.when the headmaster of sm academy, the respected lee sooman, introduces the newest dance group that will keep sm academy at the top of all the other schools in south korea, heeyeon shrugs it off. after all, to her, it’s just another dance group.to the others?it’s the moment they’ve been waiting for. to finally see if the new faces are good enough to keep sm academy at the top.one normal day, park heeyeon unexpectedly gets sent to lee sooman’s office.“ah, miss park heeyeon. it’s finally nice to meet you,” a deep voice said, obviously belonging to the headmaster of the school. “please sit down.”heeyeon smiled a bit and bowed before sitting on one of the sofas in front of lee sooman’s ebony desk. she had somewhat already expected the headmaster to know her. the news couldn’t have possibly stayed around the students—the teachers would have picked it up too. and from the likes of it, it had been passed on to the headmaster.“i hear your name a lot, my dear,” lee sooman started.see?heeyeon chuckled. “am i that popular already?”lee sooman smiled. “it seems so. having heard your name quite a few times, i couldn’t help but bring myself to look into your files.”“oh?” this startled her. sure, her teachers have looked into her student files before but coming from thelee sooman? that was something she didn’t expect.the headmaster leaned back into his chair and intertwined his fingers together, eyeing her. “i presume you’ve heard of our newest dance group already?”heeyeon shifted uncomfortably in her seat, remembering the big event that happened last week. “exo, right?”lee sooman nodded. “yes, yes. them.” he chuckled right after. “the whole introduction was grand, wasn’t it?”“it was. it took everyone by surprise,” heeyeon replied, half lying. if you included everyone in the school but her, then it would have been everyone. really, she just wasn’t that impressed by them.feeling a tiny pang of guilt in her chest for lying to the headmaster, she looked up to him and furrowed her brows slightly. “i don’t want to come off rude, but can we please cut to the chase? i want to know why i was sent here.”lee sooman took in a deep breath and leaned forward towards his desk, holding up a manila folder. “you have excellent grades, heeyeon, and i don’t know if you’ve heard this already (which i hope not), but one of the members of exo is struggling a bit. as the headmaster of this school, i can’t have that happening. we need to show the world that even though our dancers train hard, they are still able to manage to keep their grades up. so to help that struggling member, i want you to tutor him for the whole entire school year. it’s nothing too hardcore, i assure you that. just a couple of hours twice a week. …will you please agree to it?”heeyeon took a moment to let the information sink in. tutor…an exo member? “but won’t that mean i’ll have to cut some time from my classes just to tutor him?”“yes, but you can certainly catch up, i know that. i’ll inform all your teachers on what you’re doing so you won’t have to explain to them. you’ll be doing a great deed for all of us.”all of us? she thought, but it’s just to maintain the group’s image! “but sir…”“i know you’re unwilling to accept this offer, but please heeyeon. you’re the only person i know that he’ll be willing to listen to.”heeyeon let out a sigh, she couldn’t really say no to the headmaster since he was, of course, the headmaster. “…fine, but what’s in it for me?”“i’ll agree to anything you want, appropriate-wise. anything you want me to change about this school? i’ll change it,” lee sooman said, placing the manila folder away into his desk.just then, the door to his office opened and came in a boy with a mean look on his face.“aha! sehun! glad you came. i want you to meet your—”the sehun guy took a quick glance at heeyeon and scowled. “i told you i was going to fix my grades on my own, you old man!”oh lord. her classes were now going to be cut, bad rumors were probably going to stir, and now she had to tutor a guy to who seemed to be really against the idea of her tutoring him?well, this was just her luck. Foreworddedicated to my sister.boo. she sucks. ( lol. shes going to kill me. ) im so nice to her, you know? no matter how many times she makes faces at me and wont give me milk, i still decide to write a story for her. thats how nice i am.so guys. a new story. :D woot woot. im not sure if that whole description is final because i can definitely see some flaws. im still iffy on the main girls personality and whatnot so thats something ill be changing.as you can see, this is a sehun x oc fic. ... ... thats dedicated to my sister. were ( obviously ) fans of exo, but my sister got into them more than i did. ( yknow, watching all their music videos and such... ) and as she continued watching them, she found the guy that caught her eye: oh sehun. ( and baekhyun, chanyeol, kai, and currently d.o. / i dont know if she knows thats his last name though ... ) while she was spazzing out on how good-looking they all looked, i decided to force myself to think of an idea for a story since all the ideas i had were all cliche. ( according to my sister. )and ... this is what that idea produced.i hope it sounds interesting and i hope my good-for-nothing sister likes it. ;; ( can someone tell me how to put up mutiple tags? )
